tytanick,

how do I burn the OS image to a thumbdrive in Mac OS?

Any equivalent of RawCopy on Mac?

thanks

Hi, this image would work only with this HDD Raw Copy, nothing else would work.
I would have to make copy with tool that is compatible with both systems, i never had a MAC so it would be hard.
Cant you find any windows and do it ? Tongue
Or meaby you can run virtualisation on mac ?
if you will provide me tool that works in windows and mac, i can do image for you

Just an update on my testing of your mining OS. I am running two r9-290x's and two r-9-280x's and am mining a steady 98 mH according to your console. Temps are steady and no instability issues that I have seen.
Great work. Thanks for a great project

Thanks! What about RX400 Support?

I have it working already but i dont have overclocking support.
I only set that manually by bios editing and then setting dpm state.
I think its workth to releasing it when i will have tool for Overclocking in linux.

how about a lil update of the miner?

we are still using the 7.0
and well-------

Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner.
=========================

Latest version v7.2:

Actually we are using 6.3 and not 7. The version listed in site is not the version of the Claymore itself Smiley

have you    git pull yet?  lol

anyone able to give me a reason why it is so far behind on the updates?

My advise is to check ethOS and what it offers for what payment, for the moment you are too far away, not to mention you are not as active as for something which you want to make paid...

lol i mean in some future when it will have more options ofcourse.
Now it will stay free for much longer then i thought due to lack of free time.

i dont want to compare to others so lets do this a different way?

the good---
it is a semi stable Ubuntu distro"not that ubuntu is a solid linux distro " but at least it works most of the time!{Ubuntu still has daddy issues compared to Debian}
sorry but i can see any other advantiges.

the bad---
there is a huge security issue that really needs to be addressed and fixed... anyone that wants to maintain a scanner on your website to catch the users ip will have full access to the miners.
huge lack of options in using this distro for mining only!!!!!
only one miner! claymore, more options should be available.
no open options to have a desired mining pool even if we have our own account on the pool we still cannot use it!
each and every mining rig is different and there is no tolerance to adjust for thing or compensations in the mining setup such as fans and max temps and such.....
it needs alot more polishing ALOT before you should be asking for people to pay for it!
from the moment that it started till now it is almost like the dev abandoned the project because it isnt what he wanted or for some other reason!

instead of worring on how much you might be able to make pay for it later on, try.......
making it a very attractive system ,,then have people drop a dime for it!

for anyone that want to change the pool or mine Expanse for example you could PM me

i am thinking about making custom pool option for you guys.
anyway two paths of payment for service would be good:
a) auto managment and mining in my pool with 2-3% fee
b) custom options for advanced users for some $ monthly

anyway as i see custom pool is important for many users.

First Off - Excellent Work! You made a simple and easy to use miner and I thank you for that! Windows became unreliable after I added my third R9 Nano and ati fglrx drivers seemed to be running slower on Ubuntu server.

Secondly, I wanted to throw out some suggestions if you are open to them,
Possible options for other mining pools not just dwarf or ethpool or maybe allow the user to manually enter a pool address
X11VNC to be installed, this for folks like me that prefer headless systems
On the dashboard maybe display ip address of miner and vnc port address if different than 5900 or a console/vnc screen similar to Proxmox virtual environments
Not sure how involved it would be, but to be able to use the pools API (if available) to gather your miners stats and display on the dashboard

Thanks again and keep up the good work!

if you read this
http://www.vanemery.com/Linux/XoverSSH/X-over-SSH2.html
you will find out that there is actually no need to install anymore , this system already supports the x11 over ssh.
either way if your running windows or linux as a control pc ,the above artical explains exactly what is needed and how to do it, keeping the system as light as possible but still having full remote control.also eliminating the issue for port reassignments and such... if using a linux machine just a small hint would be to run it from a app called "SecPanel" not sure of anything on windows as i havent had or used it for about a decade and a half.
