Forgot that they are now one and the same face. This makes sense now why they have cross promotion fights. But instantly another question appears in my head Cheesy How hard it is to stick to specific rules when you are in a fight? Never thought that in PFL all kind of elbow strikes are prohibited, yet Bellator allow them. Shouldt they unify rules ? That rules looks worth discussing in general. Maybe this is only because elbow strikes make huge cuts. Other strike can open skin also, but elbow cut is deeper. I think it might be because of their season system, that huge deep cuts heal for long, but fighters need to be ready to fight every, dont know, 3 months.
I dont think elbows are not allowed in PFL, they have almost the same MMA rules like Bellator, UFC and others.
Only way for different rules to exist is if there are kickboxing fights and special mixed rules, but I mostly saw fights like this only in ONE Championship.
Elbows and knees are allowed not only in MMA but in Muay Tha also, but there is no fighting on ground.

You know who is missing also on such a large tournament? Ante Delija. Havent heard about this guy for a while. And he was considered to be Ngannou counter in PFL. During years 2021-2022 were Delija was more busy, but got only 1 fight in 2023.
Yes that is true, maybe they are saving him to face Francis Ngannou in his first MMA fight after divorce from UFC and excursion to boxing world.

Since this is a cross promotion event, the winner walks away with two belts? Or next contender have to wait for another cross promotion event? Or move to other promotion?
I think they will have one unified belt, same way like they are doing in boxing.
PFL owns both companies now so they can do whatever they want Smiley

PFL just announced new big event coming in February and this is the first time all BFL Champions will face Bellator Champions!
Yoel Romero is coming back against Thiago Santos in this fight of the veterans, Romero is 46 and Santos 40 years old.
This event is happening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but one guy we are missing here is Francis Ngannou who is preparing for another boxing fight.

This is an interesting event looking at the fighters it is one juicy event that the PFL and Bellator are cooking here, and the fights that I am interested in are Renan Ferreira VS Ryan Bader, Magomed Magomedkerimov VS Jason Jackson, Jesus Pinedo VS Patricio Pitbull, Bruno Cappelozza VS Vadim Nemkov, Thiago Santos VS Yoel Romero and lastly Clay Collard VS AJ McKee are the fights that I think looks interesting, for sure I will make my bet on those fights,

You know who is missing also on such a large tournament? Ante Delija. Havent heard about this guy for a while. And he was considered to be Ngannou counter in PFL. During years 2021-2022 were Delija was more busy, but got only 1 fight in 2023.

notblox1, how is your pc/console experience going so far ?

There is no update on him everywhere, after his fight against Maurice Greene on June 13, 2023, he was gone or there is no update on him what so ever, however, Francis Ngannou is doing great with his boxing career, for sure if he would be here I think he is already been scheduled against Francis Ngannou, the fight was just abruptly canceled for some reason,

Several teenagers here in the area where I live apparently already know and they are quite fond of playing the EA Sports UFC 5 game.
They said that the features of this game were much better than some other old school games, they even got game that was really like live broadcast because of the various advantages that could get.

Well, that is good for them, if they are already playing EA sports for UFC 5 which has great graphics than the old WWE games, but I think the WWE games are still updating and continuing up to now, and the latest right now was the WWE 2K23 which you can buy in Steam, for sure it got great graphics to offer, and what I like about this are the multiplayer mode that they have,

I remember that game it was really an entertaining game for sure where you could play as your favorite WWE character and the new version of the game had some twist where you could go outside the Ring and the stadium and into the parking lot where you could get items and fight out there that was really great if you can play it in freestyle mode, where you can be allowed and there will be no ring count mode if two fighters were outside the ring,

There was fight held by ONE Championship with the ONE Atomweight MMA World Champion title event, Stamp Fairtex defended her first title against Zamboanga.
This is quite an interesting fight between female fighters which will take place on March 1 at ONE 166 Qatar.
I think I want to follow developments and watch this fight.

It seems quite interesting because we can play using the fighter characters we like, but the last PlayStation game about fighting I remember was WWE SmackDown.
This was done when I was still teenager and now the PlayStation game has developed enough to have the EA Sports UFC 5 game.
This will remind I of playing when I were teenager, it quite silly but it really interesting.

Never imagine that he is a high school student by day but a USD 100k contract by night sure this kid is built differently and even if he loses to 1 of his fights I think that just brings him into a higher grounds as he has started in the Muay Thai fighting just in his young age for sure he will be a great and well-known person 1 day, but right now he already have a name for himself, the name Johan Ghazali is now well-known in the ONE Championship community for sure,
Of course I don't think he still high school kid just learning martial arts, but he teenager who has become good enough fighter that ONE Championship is really interested and decided to have contract with him.
Johan Ghazali has full support from his family and he has sufficient material support to be able to develop his talents by practicing more martial arts so that he can achieve much greater achievements in the world class.
I sure Johan Ghazali will never be satisfied with the accomplishments of just fighting in ONE Championship but he definitely wants more popular fights.
There is still plenty of time for him to develop in the future.

I wonder what triggered you to try playing video games and UFC in particular.
You never played games in your life?  Grin
I saw a trailer and review for new EA Sports UFC 5 game for PlayStation 5, and it looked fantastic.
I always loved this type of games since I was a kid but they are making it look very realistic in last few years.

Of course I did and still do. I think it is noticeable by posts about situation with playstation I've left Cheesy I was just curious why you wanted to play it on PC. PC and fighting games were never together, its console territory Cheesy That is why I thought that you are not much of a gamer or dont play games at all. Old UFC games on ps2 era and current UFC game are two different games. It is like pac man where you only run, and GTA5 where you can do lots of things Cheesy Dont recommend you to try something old, its not worth it. PC and old UFC game gonna spoil your experience Cheesy

P.S. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6L-coAacvfk check out Khabibs accent in UFC5 Cheesy lol

For sure Fighting games and PC will never get along well but sure that is why some controllers can be used and connected to your PC a USB one could be great, but yeah fighting games are originally for consoles but for sure a good controller is enough to play a fighting game that you like, not just fighting games but games that are original can be played in console, you can surely emulate a controller aswell,

that UFC games didn't actually get the voice and accent of Khabib Nurmagomedov which is weird in my opinion,

What's with that accent it is not like Khabib at all, and it looks weird seeing Khabib Nurmagomedov with that kind of accent sure it just no feel right anyway after seeing this I come across with a deep voice and straight different accent for Paddy Pimblett https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0TwSepvReo

Never expected to see and hear Paddy Pimblett in a different voice and accent for it is really weird for me as this is something unique but sure they can not get all the fighter's voice and put it all in the game for sure it will be a different payment if you get those voices and you originally get it on the fighters,

Updated on the Superlek Kiatmoo9 vs. Elias Mahmoudi fight it was Canceled and Rebooked by Superlek so that fight will be ONE Fight Night 18: Gasanov vs. Taek, I was really excited that I will be seeing Superlek Kiatmoo9 fight again but because it was rebooked then I need to wait and see the new schedule of the event,

I would still insist on getting PS3 or PS4 for better experience. PS2 UFC games are primitive. You wont get what you expect to get and get disappointed quickly. Before doing any moves - look for ps2 and ps4 UFC games gameplay. Maybe it will turn, that the controls or game entrance gap is to complicated for you.
You know what, I checked the prices of used PS3 and PS4 and I cant believe how cheap they are, they are full package with controllers and everything in good condition.
Maybe I am not playing games like before but this is simple fix for playing with best possible graphics and without messing with emulators.
It would be cool that PFL make some competition and create good PC and console MMA game, Francis Ngannou would be great face to promote it.

For me, it is good to have those consoles for the best experience there is but I really don't want to spend something on those Consoles that could be not up to date already if you can play it with an emulator for free, but yeah online games right now you can buy them in steam or epic games, but for sure If there are free games I think I will just stick on just getting free games for sure, but for an epic experience if you have the money to buy the consoles then go for it, this is just my opinion on things, but a PC is great enough if that game can be played on a PC,

After seeing what he can do Johan Ghazali really has a great start starting young is quite pretty much going great for him, and getting young into the sports of Muay Thai but for sure he can learn various martial arts like Kickboxing and if he is well-establish with his kick boxing maybe just like Alex Pereira can go into the world of MMA and learn wrestling from there on, I think Alex Pereira had a great foundation and that is with his kick boxing foundation his striking was very natural so for sure all he needs to do now is train some wrestling and grappling to enhanced his ground game,

After seeing the kid Johan Ghazali in action I was really amazed at his dedication to his study and training, even though he is now a professional fighter he is still not stopping with his studies, and sure he is doing just fine, but looks at him in school uniform you will never notice him be a professional fighter and this goes to show with other saying that do not judge the book by its cover and for sure that sentence is true with Johan Ghazali for sure he is a teen that will come a long way and just like you I also want him to try MMA if he gets bored with Muay Thai that is,

It is very rare for fighter who is in his teens to have succeeded in creating such impressive hype.
He has created and demonstrated very capable fighting qualities in the arena of ONE Championship which is clearly the biggest sports company in Asia.
If you look at his talent, he has bright future and of course Johan Ghazali will become one of the best fighters in ONE Championship and in his country Malaysia, he will be the only fighter that Malaysia has at the youngest age.
If Johan Ghazali wants to develop his talents and have much better career in MMA or be able to enter the UFC then he must be able and willing to learn various martial arts such as wrestling or even Kickboxing.
I sure that by studying more mixed martial arts Johan Ghazali can be like several other fighters who have won various world titles.

For sure it is still great to play games with their authorized consoles or if it is ported into PC that will be great but if not it is really natural to play the games with their established consoles that are for sure and upon seeing your post I immediately search for 2nd hand consoles that still look new, and I was shocked  what I have seen there is a PS3 console that is just $81.07, PS4 that is around $99.08 up to $135.11 if you prefer a complete package with games, and Xbox that is $108.09 only I was really shocked with the cheap prices it offer I think I will looked furthermore for more cheaper prices,

I wonder what triggered you to try playing video games and UFC in particular. If this is a momentary decision, then I suggest to buy used ps4 slim console, as it is much quieter than ps4 fat or ps4 pro (you dont need that extra % of video chip power for old game like UFC 4 for example). If you can wait, then consoles generation is about to change, or better say devs would stop creating games that would support ps4. Also GTA6 will be released in 2025 and it wont be supported by ps4. Which means, in the middle of 2024, lots of people would start dropping ps4 and xbox one cheap. And that would be your perfect time to buy it and lots of exclusive games cheap. If you dont want to wait - buy used ps4, play for few months and resell it Cheesy

Imho PC gamers love to play with keyboard and mouse, even though they can connect controller. Playing fighting will always be best experienced with controller. Due to stereotype controller=console, we would never see good mma game on a PC. PFL isnt as giant brend as UFC, they wont bother making a video game. Lot of people who are far from combat sports, think that UFC already means mixed martial art. So when they are asked what sport they like, they would answer UFC. People dont know PFL much. If they release a game, it wont get much popularity. It is more likely, that Francis Ngannou would be an add-on or a DLC content for UFC or Fight Night games.

We are having an event ONE Fight Night 18: Superlek vs. Mahmoudi next week, and I think it is good that people will see most of the fight of Superlek he is the favorite to win in this fight for sure here are the videos of Superlek Kiatmoo9

Here is the fight of Superlek Kiatmoo9 against Tagir Khalilov and yeah Superlek won this fight,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W98IO6XHcRM

Here is the fight of Superlek Kiatmoo9 against Rodtang Jitmuangnon and yeah Superlek won this fight aswell,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWL_JKkqWcw

Superlek Kiatmoo9 is a Legendary kickboxing fighter his kick is a menace to every fighter as when he kicks it can produce a sound and his kicks are punishing to some of his sparring partners there is this video that says that if you can take a low kick of Superlek Kiatmoo9, here is that video https://www.youtube.com/shorts/CB_FbFlcaxc and with that here is his sparring he is the real kicking machine for sure here is that video https://www.youtube.com/shorts/eQx8V9w774o he also got a slick knee here is the video https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0Dg__LBYQXY and a funny performance with his friend Saenchai indeed it is funny https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4OhPXBVha9w

You can use https://pcsx2.net/ ps2 emulator. According to compatibility, it runs UFC game for ps2 well. I have beaten Final Fantasy 9 using this emulator long time ago and had no issues. Since then pc hardware became more powerful and would run any ps2 game without any lag, bug or issue.
This might be the best available option, and I think I was using this ps2 simulator before for testing some games.
I tried playing mobile UFC game and it is not bad but screen size is a deal breaker for me.
No problem for controllers, I have few of them for PC that looks very similar like for play station.

You are right this kid Johan Ghazali has a future in the muay Thai for sure, and ONE Championship is giving him a break, he is just 16 years old, and he is fighting like this, you can clearly see the range and depth of this kid for sure he will do great in every Fighting Organization he landed on, he can also get into MMA a little training with wrestling and he is good to go, but maybe he is just staying into Muay Thai,

You know, it depends on how much you want to spend on playing UFC game without buying a console Cheesy You still need a controller, as playing on a keyboard isnt convenient. I can suggest to search on aliexpress for something like ps2/ps1 emulator HDMI stick (but it still will require a usb port on tv, laptop or pc for power). It will cost around 30-50 bucks and will come with a controller or two (but cheap quality).

However, if you really want to try UFC game, I would suggest buying preowned ps4. This will cheapest option for best experience. Old ps2 UFC games are primitive. High, low punch or kick, few combos or and sort of a hit 1 button to perform submission. It will be still more fighting of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat level. PS4 level game has gone much further. More buttons, more combinations, submission  and etc. It will be more than smash 1 button to win game.

I like what you are saying here I also am using a PS2 emulator and playing Valkyrie Profile 2 and many classic games that we can play on the PS2, for sure there is also a PS3 emulator that is now available, and a PS4 emulator that is on the works right now, for sure I think you can play PS2 emulator even in your mobile device, but it is really amazing if you are playing it with PC as you have said PC hardware become more powerful now, and would any games with the proper specs needed, as PC required a video card in smoothly playing those games, but yes it is surely a great thing if you are playing with a controller that resembles a PS controller, and I suggest there are low-cost wireless controller that you can buy online there is no product name but here is the screenshot of the product,

-snip-
Thanks but I dont want to be MMA manager or anything like Dana White, and I dont like all the fake name of the fighters and old graphics.

No problem dude, I wish I could help you and I also want to play those MMA games if there is a way for the PC, but for sure emulators are the only way around it,
