Now that's more like it. Something worthy of Fedors retirement. Hope they can finalize the deal.
I think that he is going to demand that his last fight should be in Russia again, and I think that he can defeat Ryan Bader in front of home crowd.
Now it's Scott Coker turn to arrange everything, and it's not going to be easy to fit everyone in 2022 schedule, because Bader is fighting soon with Moldavsky on January 29 in Bellator 273.

Also, Rizin hosted their annual new year's event. I am not that familiar with the fighters that are usually connected to Rizin, but here are some results.
I don't follow Rizin that much because they mostly have unknown fighters from Japan, but this time Brazilian Roberto de Souza won Lightweight Championship belt against Yusuke Yachi.
He has only one defeat in Rizin and maybe it is possible for him to get signed for Bellator or UFC.

A huge market, not just for MMA, but for anything and everything. And Russian fighters being so well represented in the UFC, that gives everything a well-needed push. But, Eagle is also doing events in the states, and, I am not sure how much space they will have regarding the USA viewer. The US landscape is notorious for not really being so accepting of anything but their own products.
Russian federation is a big country and it's normal for them to have many top fighters in all competitions around the world.
Big news I heard today about most famous Russian fighter Fedor Emelianenko is that he is asking for Ryan Bader title rematch for his MMA retirement fight!
This will be spectacle show for Bellator if Scott Coker and both fighters accept this deal.

It’s actually smart of Khabib to get those guys in there for some name value and get some fans interested...  Before he feeds them to unknown Dagestani killers.
It's very smart decision of his, and he will pair experienced ex UFC fighters with new upcoming fighters from Russia and from other countries.
I think Khabib said that he wants Eagle FC to be platform for new fighters that could sign for UFC, and I am sure he made some nice deal with Dana White.

And I’m not sure if Russia has a large market for MMA tho or if they care about those guys.  And if they’re competing against the UFC, Bellator, LFA, etc in the US market, Khabib is gonna have a hard time.
Russia is a very big market for MMA, if you see all big MMA promotion have some fighters from Russia on top positions in their categories, and Khabib opened the door for them,
before him it was legendary Fedor Emelianenko who is still active and has one more fight to finish his glorious carrier.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team is working non-stop and they have one more new fight for Eagle FC 44 event sheduled for January 28.
Ex-UFC fighter Yorgan De Castro should fight with Shaun Asher in Miami, Florida.
This is all seven fights if nothing changes:

Tyrone Spong vs Sergei Kharitonov
Gabriel Checco vs Rashad Evans
Ray Borg vs Cody Gibson
Renan Barao vs Horacio Gutierrez
John Howard vs Ramazan Kuramagomedov
Miles Hunsinger vs Demarques
Jackson Shaun Asher vs Yorgan De Castro

We are staying in Eagle FC topic again with big news, and I didn't know what Kevin Lee is a big Bitcoin supporter since 2017 because he will be paid in Bitcoin in his four-fight contract!
Khabib Nurmagomedov is indirectly promoting Bitcoin after accepting this deal, and Kevin Lee said that Bitcoin gives him more financial security.
You can listen this short interview Kevin made with Cole Shelton:

And Khabib Nurmagomedov did hire controversial Diego Sanchez for is Eagle FC promotion, but I hope without his ex coach-guru-manager Joshua Fabia  Cheesy
Sanchez is planned to fight in March in interesting fight with Kevin Lee, and my early bet is all on Kevin Lee to win this fight.
I don't think that Sanchez is fully ready to fight any time soon, he didn't have any training and he was seriously sick for a very long time.
Rashad Evans vs Gabriel Checco is scheduled for end of January.

I am starting to follow Eagle FC competition much more seriously now, and I still can't find their website, can anyone help with that?

They have been, in their own right and time, however, they were MMA fighters. Ok, Belfort started out boxing and later transitioned to BJJ, and Rampage started out wrestling, but for the majority of their careers, they have been doing MMA, and now they are in a boxing match against boxers.
We can't really call this boxing because there are different rules and it's a different ring, most MMA fighters need to know boxing anyway.
There is also kickboxing and Muay Thai that look similar but they are very different, and it is also called Thai boxing, they use legs and elbows I think, but it's also not MMA.
Triad Combat is claiming that this sport is in the middle between boxing and MMA, clinches are much different and you can punch someone from clinch.
There is overhook, half thai plum, waist cinch, all punches are allowed both from boxing and from mma.

Triad Combat Rules and Regulations explained in 3 minutes:

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that this is different. But, as I stated before, it all might be too much confusion for the average fight fan. But, there is no harm in trying and seeing what sticks, changing it up, and evolving through time. ONE have done their version promotion quite well and are pushing the boundaries a bit.

Triad Combat is planning return in February with their new main event Kubrat "The Cobra" Pulev vs Junior Dos Santos (former UFC Heavyweight Champion).
Other fight is Vitor Belfort is former UFC light heavyweight champion, Chad Dawson is former boxing champion, and they will fight in seven round cruiserweight fight.
Third fight is Shannon Briggs (Boxing) vs Quinton Rampage Jackson (former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion).

This is a good fight since those fighters are long gone in the UFC, we have a chance to see them back. though they are not in their primal form, we can assure that they will give a good fight since they've been known to be great fighters in their time, especially Rampage. I remember watching him beat his opponents when I was a kid. It's was such a great time back then. Now I might cheer for him and it might be his last fight.

I just don't get MMA fighters transitioning to boxing for a quick buck or two. I get that it's for money, but I just don't get it.

Yes we are going to see fighting again but not in familiar octagon cage and not in real MMA fight but in some mixed rules fighting against boxers.
It's interesting concept and they hired some great fighters but I don't understand why creating such circus show with triangle rings and strange rules.
I don't think this new martial arts sport will ever be as popular as boxing or as real mma.

One interesting news for first MMA event in 2022 is that Invicta FC 45 will be Live streamed for free on Youtube, in January 12!
Invicta is all female fighters competition and this main event will be Alesha Zappitella vs Jessica Delboni for Atomweight championship belt.

Dunno...  Kevin Lee could be thrown to the wolves imo.  The Dagestani wolves.  Cheesy

Seriously tho, of what purpose is Kevin Lee gonna be in Eagle FC except to have Russian bros build there names by beating a once upon a time UFC contender.  I mean smart move by Khabib but Kevin Lee will be nothing more than a stepping stool.  I hope he got paid well.

Most probably just like that stool. It does look like they are making it a grand promotion in Maimi with Kevin Lee vs Khabib but after that, they are just lining up fighters who are not around for some time like Evans and Barao. Tyrone Spong is good though, he is a boxer and I think he can really show an entertaining fight.

This guy Tawil mentioned in the conference about metaverse and NFT https://youtu.be/N4Mb7rNK7-Y?t=1498 Can we also expect crypto.com shirt there?

Fuck finally Kevin Lee finds a home. Although I'd rather see him in ONE, hey, at least he won't have to travel out of the states that much. As for Kharitonov and Spong, both have similar backgrounds, but Kharitonov has so much more MMA experience, I don't think he will turn this into a kickboxing match, and I am not sure Spong has enough of MMA fights under his belt to really turn on the grappling (admittedly, Kharitonov is not a grappler per se, but he has a combat sambo background and that could be an issue for Spong)
It is now official signing of Kevin Lee and Khabib Nurmagomedov team and CEO CEO Rizvan Magomedov created new 165 pound division for Eagle FC.
New signings are Rashad Evans and ex bantamweight champion Renan Barao who is fighting with Horacio Gutierrez in next EFC 44 event.

Ok, that's cool. Wasn't there talk about Diego Sanchez fighting for Eagle? I mean, maybe Diego should firstly sort out some things in his head before fighting again, but maybe that's a possibility. Khabig took a page out of uncle Dana's book and is firing on all cylinders. But the real business will start when and if relevant top fighters start transitioning from UFC to Eagle. Lee is a good catch, but more top names are needed.

Interesting MMA news coming from Khabib Nurmagomedov but this time from his Russian based MMA organization Eagle Fighting Championship EFC .
Khabib is open to signing Tony Ferguson and Cody Garbrandt for EFC and I think that Kevin Lee already signed for him.
Next event Eagle FC 44 is going to be held in United States, Miami, Florida, with main event Sergei Kharitonov vs Tyrone Spong.
