There is also kickboxing and Muay Thai that look similar but they are very different, and it is also called Thai boxing, they use legs and elbows I think, but it's also not MMA.
Triad Combat is claiming that this sport is in the middle between boxing and MMA, clinches are much different and you can punch someone from clinch.
There is overhook, half thai plum, waist cinch, all punches are allowed both from boxing and from mma.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that this is different. But, as I stated before, it all might be too much confusion for the average fight fan. But, there is no harm in trying and seeing what sticks, changing it up, and evolving through time. ONE have done their version promotion quite well and are pushing the boundaries a bit.
