You own the pen
Congratulations to Usman Nurmagomedov for winning his 14th win in his pro-career which is until now his record is still clean.

Will he be able to keep his record when he will be given chance to sign to the UFC? or he is not ready for it yet?

I think UFC fighters are on some new level where he might not have some capability to win a championship there but who knows? He has one of the unique trainers that has already won championships and managed to get out there with clean records. no other than Khabib "the Eagle" Nurmagomedov himself.

It is a tailor made fight for Fedor Emelianenko to win and retire for good and i hope they have selected a good opponent to make his dream fight and end his career for good.
Fedor Emelianenko won without much struggle in the first round and he looked like the old Fedor Emelianenko with his combinations in this fight but there is no talks about his retirement as he has one more fight left in his current contract.

I am trying to find a book to place a bet but i could not find which is strange because there is PFL odds but not this event in Stake because Usman Nurmagomedov is fighting in the card which is a sure shot win but not sure about the odds.
Usman Nurmagomedov also won the fight in the first round but i am yet to see the entire video of the fight, not sure about the odds that were available but Usman Nurmagomedov would be a heavy favorite considering his skill level and his opponents they are giving right now.

Well, Fedor did it quickly.

At 45 Fedor is close to calling it quits I guess, but I can't be sure anymore. Seeing how he took a quick win over Johnson that might prompt him to take an additional opponent. A bit surprised Minakov lost, but that finger injury is just a freak accident. Don't think he would have lost if it wasn't for that, even though those leg kicks were affecting him, but it is what it is.

Tim Johnson has a big weight and reach advantage for main event against Fedor Emelianenko and he is 9 years younger, but they are fighting in Moscow.
Odds dropped a lot on Johnson to win, and Fedor must try to KO him in first few rounds if he wants to win.

When I see people at the age 40+ or 45+ fighting, I just wish that they finish the fight without injury and peacefully retire. When I see people in age fight, British boxer Danny Williams comes always to my mind. Until 2005 he was among top. Managed to beat Mike Tyson, other great names. But when he became old (40+), he started to fight anyone just for the cheque. Check out his record starting from 2010. People wanted to fight against him, because he has beaten Tyson. But Danny just enters the ring, shows some punches and plays theatrical knockout (or gets KO for real, because his opponents were always younger), get cheque and goes home. Top boxer turned into clown. The guy just dont know when to stop.

I am just wondering why he is fighting in the first place and not waiting it out for some meaningfull superfight. That's all.

I guess this is all about the contract with Bellator. I think he needs to have X fights Y years. Last fight was in 2019. He had to take what was given. And all these "well known names" just don't want to fight him, because victory wont give anything except money. No title, no belt. But:

(in case you are not familiar with this meme - here is the original. I just like that "I guess we'll never know part" Cheesy)

Cant wait for Fedor to retire. I think he has fought enough in his life. He'd better concentrate more on being a trainer.

Hehe, great meme. And yeah, we really don't know, this is just speculation and an educated guess, but what is really going on, that's hard to tell. And I am totally with you, I have been shouting about this from the rooftops for some time, but there is no shame for fighters to call it quits when the time comes, and if they want to believe it or not, the time has cometh! I have seen some of Fedors seminars and he would make for a great trainer imho.

I suggest watching Analoty Tokov vs Sharaf Davlatmurodovn. Tokov is amazing. He deserves to be in UFC. I dont know why he is not there yet. His 29-2 record is amazing. He is one of Fedor Emelianenko students. Check out his comeback after a heavy knockdown https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=574175933481096. Many thanks to ref for not stopping it too early.

Bellator is coming to Moscow, Russia for a big event Bellator 269: Fedor vs Johnson starting in two days!
There are some great fights and if I counted correctly, total of 13 fighters in this card will be coming from Russia.
No need for big introduction for main event and legend Fedor Emelianenko who is underdog in this fight, and bookies made Johnson a favorite to win.
As this fight is happening in Moscow I can't see Fedor losing this fight and I am placing a small bet on him to win.
Co-main event is also classic Russia vs United States in same heavyweight category Vitaly Minakov (22-1) vs Said Sowma (7-2).
Then we have beast Usman Nurmagomedov in lightweight category, that means you should not miss this event.

He is not picking anyone. He only selects from the list of opponent who agree to fight against him. It is Bellator who organizes the fights, pay contracts. Either Fedor asks to much for his fight and to be able to pay him, they select low budget opponents, either nobody wants to fight him anymore. Previously it was an honor for top fighters to fight against him, when he had solid record, now when he is not in any ranking, has a bunch of losses, yet still can beat anyone with experience, few wishes to risk. Or Bellator has no money to pay for top opponents. In Russian media, Bellator sometimes is named funny - "bum-lattor" (бoмжaтop - in Russian) or "beggar-lattor" if translating it.

I understand that he chooses from a list of fighters, but isn't choosing the same as picking? Cheesy When I said picking, I was not implying that he is ducking more well known names (as they are not on the list), I am just wondering why he is fighting in the first place and not waiting it out for some meaningfull superfight. That's all.

Let's warm up for upcoming MMA weekend with one more Dana White Contender Series week 8 event that is starting in few hours.
Main event is featuring interesting fight in welterweight category between Solomon Renfro (8-1) and Jonny Parsons (7-2),
and I am also interested in light heavyweight fight Armen Petrosyan vs Kaloyan Kolev from Bulgaria that have perfect 10-0 record.
I think some of this fighters will have good potential to create nice MMA carrier and sign a contract with Dana White.

I found this fights for betting in Stake

Who is Tim Johnson ? On the paper, he looks like a very unstable fighter. He could beat a more experienced guy, but will lose to a less knows and experienced. He reminds me of Tim Silva. Big guy, that wins only due to strength. As I remember, Fedor destroyed Silva in less than 1 minute. But that was Fedor in his prime. Despite he is not as quick and sharp as he used to be, I think this fight will be a repeat of Fedor vs Silva scenario.

But no one should underestimate Tim Johnson. For example he has beaten a guy who has beaten Fedor Cheesy He could do the same with Fedor.

I wouldn't go so far as taking MMA math into consideration here. If said X has beaten Y and Y has beaten Z, therefor X has to beat Z as well. Not really. I would go agree more with your statement that this could go in Fedors favor. Not in a 1-minute hit and run but still, he should be the favorite here. Why Fedor is picking to fight guys like these (low-income possibility, low opponent name value and low public interest for that fighter, but still high risk for Fedor), is still a mystery to me.

This was great Bellator event to watch, Nemkov won against Anglickas with kimura submission that was expected, and  Corey Anderson got a great ko win in first round against Ryan Bader.
Now we have great light heavyweight Grand prix final Vadim Nemkov vs Corey Anderson, it's Russia vs Unites States for prize of one million dollars!
I am also super excited to see one more Russian legend Fedor Emelianenko fighting this weekend in Bellator 260 Moscow against Tim Johnson, in what could be the last fight of his carrier.
This event should not be missed and we are going to see many other Russian fighters including Usman Nurmagomedov.

Actually, the ruleset for DJ vs Rodtang is a split between Muay Thai and MMA rules, with the first round as Muay Thai, the second round as MMA, and so on. So it will be a test for both of them. Even more so for DJ I think because he needs to survive the first round. Interesting and crazy concept. Not sure if it has been done this way anywhere.
So is this an exhibition bout where they have equal opportunity in their respective discipline, whatever may be the situation it looks more like an challenge for Demetrious Johnson who is widely considered as the greatest of all time and OneFC trying to throw tough opponents after another. What i find is that unlike UFC who was struggling to find opponents for Demetrious Johnson, OneFc has done a great job.

Well, there are numerous factors to why ONE FC has had success finding DJ opponents. One is definitely that they try different avenues, but the other is that in Asian countries they have a much wider pool for his weight class that might play a factor. And yes, I believe this to be an exhibition match, with such a diverse ruleset I doubt it could be anything else.

This is something to look forward to. Especially with the weird ruleset that will be present at the Rodtang DJ fight. Actually, it's kinda refreshing that these kinds of fights are going on. Also Nice to see Tonon back, but I have to say he is fighting so sparsely that I can't tell where he is going with all of this.
I had no idea John Lineker moved out from UFC and joined OneFC, i am not aware of the skills level of his opponent but i am aware of the skill level of John Linerker and it will be an interesting fight because OneFC has some talented fighters in their lower weight divisions.

The fight that i am interested is Demetrious Johnson facing one of the legends of Muay Thai Rodtang and i am a big fan of him when he was fighting in Muay Thai and i do not remember him fighting in MMA and i have no idea how he would fair against Demetrious Johnson but this is a dream fight for the fans because the skill level is of Rodtang in striking is legendary and i consider Demetrious Johnson as one of the complete all around fighters in MMA.
