Interesting MMA news coming from Khabib Nurmagomedov but this time from his Russian based MMA organization Eagle Fighting Championship EFC .
Khabib is open to signing Tony Ferguson and Cody Garbrandt for EFC and I think that Kevin Lee already signed for him.
Next event Eagle FC 44 is going to be held in United States, Miami, Florida, with main event Sergei Kharitonov vs Tyrone Spong.

One more One Championship event Winter Warriors II is starting in few days and I see some interesting fights to watch for FREE on youtube.
Main event is Danny Kingad vs Kairat Akhmetov but I never watched any of this fighters from Philippines and Kazakhstan.
I do recognize Kevin Belingon who is fighting with Won Il Kwon in co-main event, and interesting for me is lightweight category fight Vitaly Bigdash vs Rong Fan.

Latest MMA news are coming from PFL that announced multi-year partnership with fuboTV for Challenger Series events, and funny thing is that boxer Mike Tyson will be one of the judges.
I know Tyson was a great fighter but I don't think he knows enough about MMA rules that he can work as a judge, and other judges are some NFL players and influencers.
PFL Challenger Series is scheduled for February 2022 and fans with viewers will be able to vote for figthers:

Not just that he comes from a different discipline, but it's that he doesn't have any judging experience or training to be a judge at such a high level. I mean, he could go through the training and do his work and then judge some fights on the undercard, but I don't get what's the point to all of this. I don't get who's benefiting from this. Odd decision. But again, if they have NFL players and influencers as judges, I guess they don't care about the judging quality.

Dude, I hadn't realized until yesterday that Kevin Lee was released from the UFC. It seems they (the ufc) are just waiting to cut someone, trigger happy they are. Anyway, heard Lee might be heading out to OneFC? That seems like a good idea. He might as well try to make a name for himself in Asia. Hope he makes a turnaround.
Yes Kevin Lee was released from UFC and it was confirmed that he is not going to Bellator, but I am not sure if he is going to sign with One Championship or maybe Triad Combat will offer him more money. Smiley
PFL is one more option but I don't even remember when they had last MMA event and there is nothing scheduled before 2022.

Actually, I heard that PFL is not interested in Lee? :O I don't know if that's just a rumor, but it could very well end up with him not going for an American promotion. I still hold ONE in higher regard than Bellator or PFL, but I can imagine how hard it is to travel to those fights (even though European, Asian, and South American fighters have been doing it for years). I am genuinely curious to see where he ends up.

Watch the replay of the main event.
People should watch this fight if they didn't do that so far, and that was amazing spinning backfist and KO victory for him, and like I said it was great odds on him so somebody earned good money.
It was full arena gone crazy and Pettis later said that was best knockout of his career.

^  Now I do.  Lol.  Horiguchi was owning Pettis’s ass before lucking that fluke KO.  But I’ll take it!  Lolol.  I almost regretted betting for him but a win is a win.  Cheesy  I hope Pettis is lined the favorite because of it.  I will def fade him if his opponent is decent.  I think there’s gonna be another grand prix for Bellator bantam weight for 2022.

Watch the replay of the main event.

At first glance I think Pettis is a decent underdog, I like Scoggins and John De Jesus could be another decent underdog, Kamaka is taking the fight on short notice and has bad cardio.  Crutchmer and Carlyle lines look decent too.
I don't understand why Pettis is considered so big underdog in this fight and odds are very good on him to win, maybe this Horiguchi is some hidden karate gem but I  never saw him fight before.
Pettis is defending the belt, he has three inch reach advantage and he won last four of his fights.
Many MMA experts are also prediction Pettis will lose this fight but lets see what happens in few hours.

^  I think it’s hilarious.  Lol.

Anyway looking at the Bellator event, it really looks decent for MMA’s ‘B league’.  Could make a couple or so bets here.  At first glance I think Pettis is a decent underdog, I like Scoggins and John De Jesus could be another decent underdog, Kamaka is taking the fight on short notice and has bad cardio.  Crutchmer and Carlyle lines look decent too.

Here’s the roster for the event.

Thinking about this lately, and I wouldn't be surprised if Triller started putting on MMA fights. I mean, they sure have the money and the chops for it. And with fighter pay always being questioned in the UFC, I would think some relatively big names would gladly transition. However, I can't seem to figure out what the end game would be in that scenario. I don't know if there's room for another promotion.
I don't think they will start anything related only to MMA fights, because there are more than enough organizations for that, but that is why they invented this new mix of combat sports.
Here is one video of triangle ring, highlights, with Rampage Jackson and other talking that Triad Combat will be serious:

Yeah, I don't know about this triangle ring. Watching it now, it just ain't my thing, I don't see a reason for it. I get that they are trying to create something of their own, and with the landscape of MMA being kinda full, there is not much room. But I don't see this concept sticking. Again, I understand their position, but I doubt this will go anywhere far and will maybe have some followers and that's it, like M1 multi fighter matches or the armored battles.

Triad Combat sure got a lot of attention and I am sure they have financials to make this profitable when they signed some big MMA names like Rampage Jackson and Mike Perry.
Triller made a lot of money on boxing promotion and they are not in good relations with Dana White, so they will do everything to cut of piece of mma cake.

Bellator is finally back this weekend and so is Sergio Pettis in main event with Kyoji Horiguchi from Japan in Bantamweight category.
Pettis is defending his title in this fight, he is black belt in jiu-jitsu and taekwondo and he has reach advantage compared to Horiguchi.
I don't see any familiar faces in other fights on this fight card but main event is worth watching for sure.

I don't know what this is but looks like Triller created some freak Triad Combat with triangular rings and hybrid rules.
No kicks or elbows are allowed in Triad Combat, but clinching and striking from the clinch is allowed that makes it different from boxing.
We can see some familiar MMA veteran faces like Frank Mir, Mike Platinum Perry and Derek Campos.

Boxing vs MMA

Kubrat Pulev vs Frank Mir
Alexander Flores vs Matt Mitrione
Michael Seals vs Mike Perry
Brian Vera vs Derek Campos
Scott Sigmon vs Albert Tumenov
Harry Gigliotti vs Jacob Thrall

FFS, another bastardization. Everyone under the sun is nowadays trying to come out with some hybrid/cross/different thing and honestly, it ain't going nowhere. I mean, even with the ONE Mighty Mouse vs Rodtang fight, those combo rules might have seemed fun at first glance, but the longer I look at it the less appeal it has. Talking from a sporting perspective, not a money-making perspective that is.
