If possible would their be an advantage to merge mine with bitcoincash. And also it seems UNO has a lot of blocks not accepted, are you seeing that here
It's not possible to merge mine with bcash due - their coin does not have the necessary functionality to be mined as an aux coin. UNO probably is getting blocks not accepted because they hard forked recently - if pools haven't updated their software then they'll be invalid.

would be nice time to hit a low cdf block

Hi mmpool,

Unobtanium has forked to increased rewards for miners 10x since block 1042000.

The current reward is .01 Uno, which today is $8 per 3 minute block.

Please update your UNO wallet before resuming merge mining of UNO.

Thanks,
newbie

@mmpool: hey, thanks for maintenance!  Smiley

Good to hear that you see it likewise with the payout. And I understand the problem with the fees. If there's anything I can help with (e.g. doing nasty calculations), just let me know!  Wink

Merge mining was The feature back in the days. This was the reason I was joining this pool in the first place. But in the meantime, I'm just glad that it's still online. And my miner, which isn't very powerful, is still accepted.

Keep on and thanks for the update!

I guess it's a good idea to lower the payout threshold, as the Price of Bitcoin is drastically higher then back in the day when this pool started.

Will the merged mining feature be activated some time again?
I'd like to reduce the minimum payout threshold but fees are high and the pool currently absorbs the fee. I need to think about what affect lowering it will do.

The plan is to enable merge mining again but it's a medium term plan, not a short term one.

Pool will be down for a short time while some maintenance on the servers goes ahead. I'll edit this post when it's back up. I expect about an hour.

Edit: Pool is back up now.

Firstly, thanks for this pool! I'm using it for years now, it's reliable and neat with its merge mining feature. Just would hope more would use it, 90-100 currently is really low.

Now about my proposal:

I think payout of 0.00500000 is just too high. Mining with 57GH/s for a month now, I got 0.0005. That's not the problem for me, but my first possible payout will be in 10 months. Possibly more, as the diff is rising and rising.

Please change the payout rules as follows:

The minimum withdrawal amount for each currency is 0.00100000 except for Namecoin and Devcoin which are 0.01000000 and 1.00000000 respectively.

Appreciate! Please think about the small proud miners like us!

Thanks kindly

Note 2016-07-14: The pool continues to mine bitcoins but merge mining is temporarily disabled. No alt coins are currently being mined. Due to issues with the upgrade to recent bitcoin daemons and out of date alt coin code the pool needs some code changes before it can be re-enabled. This work is currently underway.

mmpool.org allows you to merge mine for a number of different bitcoin-derived virtual currencies. The pool provides the Pay Per Share (PPS) method for the alternate merge mined coins and the Double Geometric Method at a 1.5% fee for the bitcoin portion of the reward. Transaction fees in mined blocks are awarded to the miner that found the block. A portion of the DGM reward is paid out as PPS to provide a regular BTC income during long blocks.

  • Stratum protocol for mining mmpool.org:3333
  • DGM reward method
  • All transaction fees paid to miner that finds the block
  • No withdrawal fees
  • 1.5% fee for bitcoin rewards
  • Variable difficulty mining with automatic adjustment
  • Temporarily disabled: Merge mining with Namecoin, Ixcoin, Devcoin, I0coin, Groupcoin, Unobtanium and Syscoin 2.0
  • Simple registration. Just provide your coin payout addresses for the coins you want to receive.
  • Access via TOR using hidden service phkttm64gbquasaq.onion
  • Hashrate and block found monitoring available by the excellent bitmonitor service.

The pool broadcasts updates via bitmessage on address BM-NBs7aHtbw6x7beefygEC4Cv6Rsp2dZni and receives support requests on that same address. Email is actioned at [email protected].

Nice pool. Hope to see more people in it!

The hot wallet is being topped up and the BTC should be available for withdraw when that's done.
Did you post in the wrong thread?

I bumped the minimum difficulty up for nicehash but it sounds like there are still issues. I'll look at running a higher difficulty port specifically for nicehash.

yeah  maybe   50th  and higher with a special port

@philipma1957 where did you get the number 15,366 from in your post above?  Are your stick miners the Gekko 2pac sticks?

I have four sticks three compacs and a two pac

Mmpool.org
Bravo-mining
Cksolopool

All have bonus if you hit a block.

So I point the sticks at these pools.

At the moment mmpool is not working well with low hash or high rentals.

I am hoping it is fixed.

I like to point my sidehack compac stick here 24/7/365  they add to 32000 gh and drop out a lot

While I appreciate the shout out, you're posting on the MMPool thread, Phil Smiley

PS - if you really *do* point your 32000GH (are you sure you got that number right - that's 32TH) to my pool, then there's a serious issue... since I've never seen you on my pool 24/7/365.  I see you on there quite a bit with rentals, but not a constant 32TH.

I like your pool and his pool.

I point hash at both quite a bit.

At this time I have lost the ability to keep hashing at mmpool.

And I have the ability to mine on yours small like sticks or big with rentals.

Well crap...too late now my second BTC order is just about done.  I pretty much broke even.  Is it even possible to hit a block with an S7 anymore?

sure   just very unlikely.

4700/10,399,832,230

or 2,212,730 to 1  chance for each block

 about 15,366 to 1 each day -----------------1 s7

47 th is about 1537 to one each day ------- 10 s7

470 th is about  153.7 to one each day ---- 100 s7

4700 th is about 15.37 to one each day ---  1000 s7

I wish op would make 3   ports

   3333 for under  10th   say    8000 diff
   3334 for 10th to 50th  say  32000 diff
   3335 for            50th   say 320000 diff

I like to point my sidehack compac stick here 24/7/365  they add to 32000 gh . 32gh

 and drop out a lot

stratum+tcp://stratum.bravo-mining.com:3333   philipma1957.two x

I am showing Jonny’s pool cause he is doing a couple of ports so my four usb sticks do not drop out with his pool.
