alright commented out the overclocks set to run only off bios config, it works and its reporting the exact hash rate as the rig, except it is no diferent than my original bios mod except the extra power use. before i had 737 @ 89w now i have 740 @ 110w

Well you're doing something wrong if those are the numbers you're reporting. I have the core set to 1188, the memory set to 1888, the VRM set to 2000 and the voltage set to 0.888V so there's no way this is using more power than the stock bios. Are you already running a modded bios?

Download gpu-z and lets see what's actually going on here, something is probably overriding the bios settings.

is there any bios updates for msi 1080ti sea hawk cards ?

Sorry the pricetag on those suckers is still too much for me to get one. Vega is also a power hungry monster that cost too much.

Hi i use ethos with ethminer for ethash, sgminer for cryptonight and optiminer for equihash. the numbers are what i am getting with your bios. no joke. i was very disappointed when i seen the pool recorded hash, like i said the cryptonight looked good but only reported 50% of the hash to the pool

8gb was set to mem 2100 and cor 1180
4gb was set to mem 1800 and cor 1180

any idea why the hash values are so low?

Do not set anything with the miner or afterburner or whatever. Just run the miner with the default settings everything is set in the bios.

^^^ I'll check the link and repost if there's a problem, I used the latest 7z compression so I'd check your archiver for updates to a newer version...

And no, I posted them like this for a reason.

edit:

OK I checked out the link and it works good. The issue here is that the Windows to Unix Encoding standard was never developed or implemented. You'll need to use the --ignore-chmod (-c) option to ignore the fchmod(3P) errors.

^^^ I'll grab an XFX next time I get more cards, these cards seem to have the best numbers. That 170W is a bit off though, you should be pulling about 90W with that mod. The core should be running at about 1100 or less bring it down a bit.

I'll play a bit more with it today...went into 1000-1100 area too, at around 90 w, but it's giving much more memory errors...

Tested XFX 580, looks good 840H/s on XMR, still, a bit "power hunger" on that, hahaha, 170W at wall.
Played a bit on that bios and I managed to get a stable one (only 4 errors/12 hours in HWInfo), getting also 840H/s and just 120 W, with 1167/2075 clocks.

^^^ "not effective" haha you're a retard.

The numbers you're reporting are a joke, what software/miner are you trying to use?

Hi i just want to say thank you very much for your time in trying to make a better bios, but these are not effective. the cryptonight was the only *visually* effective algo for the mod but it only reports 50% of what is shown at the miner to the pool
before mod
ethash (4gb - 19h/s) actual 19h/s (8gb - 23h/s) actual 23h/s
cryptonight (4gb - 570h/s) actual 570h/s (8gb - 732h/s) actual 732h/s
equihash (4gb - 273h/s) actual 273h/s (8gb - 298h/s) actual 298h/s

after mod
ethash (4gb- 13h/s) actual - (7h/s) (8gb 18h/s) actual (10h/s)
cryptonight (4gb - 711h/s) actual- (330h/s)  (8gb - 800) actual - (400h/s)
equihash (4gb - 270h/s) actual - (110h/s) (8gb - 290h/s) actual - (150h/s)

in the () is what the miner shows, actual is what the pool shows

again THANK YOU for your time.

Hello the
I would be very thankful if you can mod this factory bios for a XFX RX580 XXX GTS 4 gb, Hynix-Elpida memory.
I also got some for Sapphire Nitro+ Rx470 4 gb, Hynix memory, if you got time Smiley

Thank you very much!

After much testing and woe I present the PowerColor RX560-4GB Mining OEM V2 mining BIOS ulta-stable+, ultra-quiet+, ultra-efficient+.

Powercolor_RX560-4GB_MINING_V2 -- 365 h/s XMR

edit:

Claymore's v10.2 (-h 888) -- 400 h/s XMR

Display manager is a bit choppy... but stable, cool, quiet & efficient none-the-less.

edit2:

Reminder, these are the cheapest cards ever, I've got one dead one that ran at 85C for a bit before it fried. They hash at 275 h/s XMR stock.  Cheesy

Also you need a B250 chipset to run more than 4 cards, expect your terminal output to be choked with PCIe bus errors.

Get the MSI Armor (NOT GAMINGX!!!!) RX580-8GB if you're a cheap ass, these R2C cards are for the birds. Just bin those chips OMG.

Just some free time on my windows rig, not sure if you can help with that.

** WARNING **
UNTESTED BIOS

See if these work or not. FYI you'll need pixel patcher under windows to bypass driver signature checking.

Well that's good mate, but we've better be careful for that warning of untested bios because it may cause sudden over heating or hardware damage. Having much higher memory could help you for that, and I think mining rigs right now were using the latest that's why they weren't having modifications on GPU BIOS.
