It was undoubtedly a great success for that mother.

Well everyone knows that winning in lottery is something not so easy and it is a luck based chance that will only hit if you are extremely lucky. If we gamble on other games, the chances of winning are far more than as compared to the lottery. Not only that, the amount we need to participate in the lottery is very minimal so a lot of people will lose but they won't be feeling bad about it because they have not lost any big money.

You can participate in lotteries thinking that the little money you put in gambling will go in vain and wasted but if you are lucky, it can win you a jackpot. Its a game of luck and we never know when we may be lucky. Not participating in lotteries means that we are not giving that 0.01% chance of getting quick rich. Since it does take much to participate, many people are willing to try their luck. Just like that mom stories in the OP post, if she hadn't participated and given up, she would not have been the winner of 50,000$.

It is undoubtedly a big success in her life and it may inspire a lot of people by reading the article about the ticket of the lottery. I think a lot of tickets will be sold for this news which will be announced by various companies/organisations. Though It can't inspire me as my luck doesn't favor me in any type of lottery.

but what I wish is that she won jackpot instead of 50k.
out days now are of fair living , men and women can gamble as they are both capable of making their own money and with this shows how a mother will always  be a mother.

As she understands that not everyone who bet there will be able to win for the second time around. There could be some that wins there again but it's a rare case and she should be aware of that.

Indeed, This is very inspiring story came from a woman, who would've thought that a woman has a capable of winning that huge amount, right? especially that winning in a lottery has a small chances only because you need to have a pure luck that's why. I hope that woman knows when and where to put her money, she can use it in putting up a business, for investment and especially for her savings, she can enjoy her winnings as long as she already settle important things need to be done.

It is true that the chance of winning in this type of gambling is very small, and if you calculate the percentage it may only be around 0.0001%. So it's natural that most people think this is just a game of luck. However, it is possible that some of them are crazy about betting on this type of gambling, where they spend the money they have just to buy lottery tickets and keep fiddling with their lucky numbers. and even though this type of gambling is relatively cheap, if it is played continuously and if you calculate the total costs incurred to buy lottery tickets, the losses will be visible.

and both in lottery gambling and other types of gambling, actually when talking about the chance of winning, whatever type of gambling we play, there is no such thing as a guarantee that we will win every time we place a bet. The efforts we make, such as making a careful analysis, are for nothing more than increasing our chances of winning. Therefore, it is quite important to always ensure that we bet within reasonable limits, and only bet with an amount of money that we are prepared to lose.

This is what should other people be feeling off and not really just that having a feel of jelousy just because other people are way too lucky on winning up some scratch card and not something that happens into them.

Hope that mom wont really be able to spend up those 50k all in buying scratch cards and hoping that she could be able to win up something more bigger. We do know that this is where greed do usually kicks in

I’m reading the story and find myself smiling. In some societies, people are of the opinion that women shouldn’t gamble. SMH. This story is truly inspiring, what’s most interesting to me is that she won $50,000 from a $5 scratch-off game. That’s one lucky lady. Her response to the question of how she plans on spending her winnings shows women can be very decisive about how they spend their money. I hope she goes through with her plan and invest the money.

But why define the winner as a Mom and not as a Woman? I mean, when we win a big prize we say a Man with a Jackpot, and not a Dad wins a Jackpot.

What i don't like about this history is the fact that she didn't know what to do with the money, she is looking to invest it, and maybe she could take a piece of that cake for a deserved holiday.

Well that is really a lucky winner but please don't be intoxicated by this but I believe she have either lose her few hundred bucks more than this $50 that she won we must understand something about  this gambling even if you are lucky before it gives you it has already collected alot then give a token and to you is a win win but you never knew that you won a token out million you have lose you might not lose it at once that's why you don't feel it... The pattern has always been a gradual contribution losing now a token after decades of losing...

If possible I can say that gambling should be prohibited from some people because it is not for everybody loosing $200k and winning $50 I think in a business this arithmetic is not actually progressive and profitable and making gambling a priority is the worst of it because that's the only way people get such addicted which can lead to self harm in the future or immediately.....

I am not saying that she didn't suppose to win but sat thesame woman down and ask her how much have actually spent in gambling. If she can be truthful you will just observe that gamble is till owing her alot of money....

I can only tell people to play wisely know your limit don't ever because someone around you has won because of you use that pressure you might end gambling both your life and everything you have that makes you a human being.....

These type of wins are a bit difficult to handle. Why? Well, it is not a life changing amount, no matter where you live, unless you are in a super poor nation like Zimbabwe or Venezuela, then you are not going to get something huge out of this that will make you retire for good. In this case, she is from Iowa, which means the USA as a nation. In the USA there is no way that you can retire on 50k, that is not nearly enough, that's not even the median income for a year.

So, what can she do? She can use that as down payment for a house, that would be lovely, but also she would still need to keep making payments, even if she rents it out, what if rents are not paid on time? These are all things that matter on the long run.

I'm personally not anticipating winning the lotto or any large prize; actually, I don't recall ever participating in any kind of lottery either. I believe that the chances are extremely minimal, and I don't find any meaning or entertainment in it. $50,000 is a decent amount of money, though, depending on the country of residence, it may be a life-altering event. Kudos to her; hopefully, she spends them wisely, preferably invests them, and doesn't end up gambling them all away.

We keep hoping to hits the lotto but it selectly falls on those that have no clue about it. It's surprising to watch how the systems works, and I must say, it's playing into the favour of most people and none of these persons can gained confidence without lotto. We strive harder to win the jackpot because it mostly covers all losses made. However this are true stories that keeps the motivation spirit high. Congratulations to her, she will used most of this huge amounts to pay off debts and bills, and probably do an investment for lifetime, nobody should jeopardize the golden chances issued out because there's a whole lot to learn from.

For many this hope may be awaken for nothing as they still end up winning nothing till they either finally quit for good or die. It's a said truth but must someone has to say it. Someone else’s experience and other people’s victories in gambling are not the best example, if someone wins, this does not mean you can do it too, besides, the lottery is just a game of luck with very low chances.
50,000 dollars is very good money, but in fact not many people win that kind of money, most players will never win anything in the lottery even if they continue to play all their lives, it is just a matter of chance and there is no guarantee that you will be lucky to win .

Truly this is luck shining at their door step. Maybe she could just decide to expand their business with the win they got  from the lottery. Sometimes things of this nature just happens.

Lotteries are mostly played by the average country men and the poor in the society hoping that they could win in return for the tickets they  bought but sometimes it does not work that way for them and what I think is best for them to do is just to pick the ticket  as they could afford and focus on other things doing.
