50 thousand dollars is a nice amount of money. I would like to congratulate the mother for being lucky. Lucky indeed! I'd be glad for her even as her child. But if this discussion boils down if I woud be demanding an amount from her, then personally I won't. What does a typical mom do with her money? @op, learn to title your thread better, this title is as deceiving as hell, I read it and thought it was your mom who won a $50,000 in lottery, and I was going to say a big congratulations to you and your family, but on reading the body of your message, I discovered it's completely different from what I interpreted the title of the thread to mean.

Anyways, news like this is something I believe many of us here have gotten used to, but we still will not stop sharing and talking about it as it serves as a form of celebrating with the lucky party who luckily won, and I believe we all know this common saying that "when you serve a king, you also are likely to become a king some day, so another can serve you", in other words, when we rejoice with and celebrate other people's winnings like this one here, we are likely to become the winner some day so that others can rejoice and celebrate with us as well.
