Everyone wants to earn and accumulate money but no one is happy with their earned money because the more they earn the more their dreams will be. Every individual spends their whole life to get money and they die but their dreams are never achieved.
One reason that people desire to have more money is that everything is getting so expensive that a single salary is not enough therefore most of the people accumulate and use it for making more money but money is the need of life which every person has to earn.
One thing is that people will never get satisfied of what ever they are earning and the economy is even contributing to us not satisfaction because the things we make budget for as increase, it now like the money is never enough. That is exactly what life has become we don't have any other thing to worry about its always money and that is why till today as important as money is it still does not give you happiness it only give you excitement because you can always afford what you can buy. Because of money we have even forgotten our value to our existence, because the way it is we just come to earth we go to school, look for a job then get married then get kids then death, some times we need to know the main purpose of our existence not just liven a life as if all is normal. We should make our selfes happy and more to life than just money.
You see life for others as a process that has a repeated cycle. Truly i agree with you that life is more than just getting married giving birth and then old and die. Every individual has something i called a purpose and if it is not fulfilled one should not be comfortably happy.
