I live in a city where money has to buy everything, social value has almost disappeared because most people always measure it by money, of course this is because the need is increasing and many people only think about money and wealth because they don't want to live hard because without money we can die faster.

some people in the world do prioritize wealth, the wealth they have to meet their needs and pay other bills. but after all the trust they have can not be replaced with money. money can buy all the goods and necessities of life, but to buy their belief or religion everyone will be against it. everyone has rules in life, for those who are not religious, maybe they can make money as a belief in heaven on earth. but not so with me personally.

Back in the day there were Crusades by Christians to middle east for religious reasons, it wasn't purely religious of course and more like a power trip but at least there were religious reasons given to public. Nowadays western nations destroy middle east for money, there are other reasons given like "nukes there!!!" which turns out to be wrong but at least they are known to do it for money reasons.

I seriously do not see any difference between the two, if there were zero money to be made from middle east then no western nation would ever attack middle east, they really do not care what's going on there unless they could make a buck out of it. Hell even if it is not directly profitable, they would at least do it so that the money they are spending on military wouldn't be a waste but could be used in a war so that they can justify it, so in the end even that is about money.

You could make the argument that imperialism is the new religious dogma. Instead of worshiping a god, it was replaced by capitalism. Most wars in human history were out of ideological disagreement, not necessarily a fight for natural resources. Apply modern day human morality, disagreeing isn't a reason to go to war. The justification has been swapped quite simply by the need for, say, oil.

I don't really understand religion, but money is just a means to an end tbh. It's not the end. Even if you're goal was to become the richest person in the world, in the end, money isn't really the end, it's the acknowledgment behind it. I don't deny that people want money, they work to earn money, heck you can even say that the world is centered around earning money, but it was only done so since money was the means that was made by society to give you what you want.

Yes, I think so too. Even if your main goal is to earn a lot of money, in the end it still becomes clear that the path itself was the most important thing on the way to this goal. After you reach the desired amount, you will understand that the most important thing in life is what you has gained while achieving results, but maybe we are going this way in order to get rid of some of our qualities.

It's true, nowadays most people only focus on increasing wealth and money to become kings everywhere, the increasing economic inequality and decreasing social awareness are the impact of the increasingly massive information, people will show off with everything they have so that it makes people always think about money and become rich even by illegal means such as selling drugs, corruption and so on.

Money or wealth is the dream destination of many people in the world

Religion is the total believe of a group people on a particular being.
Most or everyone in the world today in which I am included believe in accumulating of wealth and making money.

More than Half of the life span of the human race is centred on making of money or wealth.

Making money legally or illegally, accumulating of wealth is the believe of most people in the world.

I stand to be corrected or cencitize
I was once insulted by someone and she said me is a poor, it really broke my heart...

money is now a benchmark for respecting someone to others (this is how the world works), without money, your family will find it difficult to get treatment, go to school, go to worship and even do other activities. Religion is a spiritual need, while money is a primary human need.

for some people money is everything. but the majority of people have faith and can't be replaced with money, only stupid people want to sell their faith with money. Quoting the saying "money is not everything, but everything requires money", meaning that money is only used to meet needs, not sell self-esteem for money. to me if this happens it is very unethical for us humans.

Wealth and religion are two sides of a coin that are related, wealth is an economic force that supports us to survive, but in my opinion wealth is a relative thing because so far many people have also been able to live in peace even though they do not have wealth, while religion is a a spiritual belief that maintains the order of our life in the world, I think wealth is very necessary in life but religion can be a guard for us in getting that wealth in the right way, so , the combination of the two will be very good if we have, with combination wealth and determination with respect to the religion we have will certainly make us quite perfect in living life, and we can say that with wealth we will have physical peace and with religion we can get spiritual peace.
I believe money become the most followed one rather than the religion.

There only small numbers that could really live peacefully as they wish without money oriented lifestyle , the rest believed that money could make a huge change into a better live and a better personally which at this point yeah sounds like pretty much ridiculous.

I don't think there are concrete concepts that are quite literally with this somewhat abstract aspect.  But I think there is still a clear distinction, rich people and rich people often play with rich people, that's just one of the cases, it's similar to a big religion, where only they and god are the people greatest for their lives and ideals.

And if it's a literal comparison, I suppose it's partially correct.  That will probably change the custom over time.

Money is one of the means to accumulation of wealth and make luxury out of life while having money doesn't equate to wealth amassment, it is money well spent, utilized and invested result to an asset but i don't give in to having money as a dictator to how live is lived, as money is the root of all evil believed by some.

Religion is the spiritual link between man and his God, there is no correlation when it relates to money.
If you say that for the reason that half of human life is centered on making money and wealth you are wrong in my opinion.
We as humans should not be too obsessed with something, because we have boundaries that are indeed signs for us.

I have no rebuttal for this. However that's not enough to say that people are worshiping money just coz they spend a lot their waking hours trying to earn it. Money most of all is simply "value". I don't think it dissimilar to early humans and their subsistence farming. You just do what you gotta do to survive. For them it's growing their own food, for us it's earning money so we can buy our food.

We accumulate wealth because we have the ability to plan for the future and that future requires resources if we and our descendants are to stay alive to see it. I would even dare say this is what sets us apart from animals.

Money and wealth are not religions in this world at all. Therefore, it is incorrect to discuss the issue in the proposed relationship. World religions promote primarily the spiritual sphere of human life. Money is considered only as a means of maintaining the physical body of a person and is not endowed with any other qualities.
From an economic point of view, paper money is a receipt on behalf of the state that its holder has the right to a certain share of the material benefits of the state and the right to carry out any civil transactions for the amount indicated in them. This right has nothing to do with religion.

Living just to make money? I feel the emptiness and bitter naivety of life that you experience so that everything (especially things as big as life) you value in terms of money. Try to explore your life, find your life, feel your life then you will realize that money is only a means, not everything.
Don't be consumed by mirages and illusions, don't make money in your heart so that you are controlled by money, but make money in your hands for you to manage and develop Because you are the boss.

that's the reality now you will get a lot of friends if you have money, almost all of them think about wealth and try to take advantage of it
life requires money but don't be so obsessed that you ignore other more important things

Wanting to make money is not bad, even if the person is obsessed, it is not bad if it does not hurt anyone, the bad thing is that they take the money and compare it with a religion, because it does not make any kind of sense, now they relate or They make an analogy with respect to it, it totally changes the meaning and it would be instead of religion like that habit that should always be sought, in fact I understand it more that way, although we all look for money through our work, it is normal to be have aspirations for more, but being honest I don't know of any company that makes you a millionaire, unless you work in google or even in an oil industry where the salary is basically $ 10k, but the work is extreme and strong, they are the only sources From work I know that you can make money and do trading or investing.

It's really ironic to see people doing everything for money and it's not a teaching of any religion,
the world is really crazy they only chase money and justify all means,
~

It's not that simple. I've seen many people, on TV, on YouTube and in real life, who think that they are wealthy because "God loves them". And they are not some cult members or something. I'm talking about Jews, Muslims, Christians and Hindus. Yeah, any religion is saying something like "We should not be greedy”, but people, high priests, most of all, accumulate a lot of wealth, "Earn Wealth by Deeds of Glory", or whatever.

what is certain is that happiness is not always about money

Happiness is not about money only if you have enough to eat and where to sleep during a cold night. If you don't have those things, happiness is about money.

I did see a documentary about people going to the jungle because they have a lot of debts and after selling everything to pay them off, they went to the jungle to spend their lives without money, hunting for food, growing food, and so on. To be sure, you make an excellent point that the world today could not improve without money, but it did for our forefathers. However, what people are doing now is so greedy for money that they are willing to harm others in order to obtain it. It does indeed bring happiness, but true happiness has a different definition.
