So please, before you sermonize me that money is not everything or that money is no big deal...
Exactly! If you don't want to hear a sermon from others then don't do the same. Do not strongly emphasize that "money is everything" like your pushing others to absorb it because first and foremost, each one of us got own perceptions about this matter so you should respect it.

Nevertheless, its's awesome because you are a practical and realistic person. Believe it or not, we have the same sentiment about this issue. I also see Money as one of the most powerful things in this world, I am not that hypocrite type to say that Love matters the most blah blah blah. With this, you can buy everything you wanted, it makes you famous instantly, and also makes you an influential person. What are you wishing for while having a life like that? Nothing Grin. But of course, I still do believe that money is the only source of happiness because as long as I can see people who are still smiling despite of their hard times with financial aspects of life then that's enough reason to conclude that MONEY do not run this world alone.

I guess this really depends on situation. It's not nice when people put their money in your face, and as much inappropriate as in moments when there is not much of it, having to listen to how unimportant it is. There has to be a balance between everything.

Isn't it interesting that those who pontificate that "Money is not everything" usually have money?

Be broke for a few weeks unable to pay your bills, pay rent and afford basic necessities, and then let's see if you'd still hold the same position about money.

Let us be sincere and stop fooling around; MONEY IS SOMETHING! A very huge something!! At least in this present world. Might not be a big deal in another world. But in this world? Save me the sermon.

Without money in this world, rarely does anything get done. In fact, many things suffer needlessly without money. Even the Bible is flat-out frank enough to recognize the fact that money answers all things in the context of this present world. It doesn't say money is "the answer to all things" but it answers all things.

So please, before you sermonize me that money is not everything or that money is no big deal, credit my blockchain address with one thousand units of Bitcoin and forget about it. Then I'd believe you. In fact, I'd sing it along with you...money ain't nothing!
For me it is not about hoarding huge amount of money through banks and vaults but it is about something that we can spend everytime we need it. Yes, each and everyone of us dreamed of having those riches others has been experienced through their lifetime but it doesn't mean money will become our god in this world. Less fortunate people like me hope to reach that goal of becoming or having financial freedom. Always remember that it is not too old to dream and it's for free.

We live in a rough physical world and to ensure our existence, the existence of our loved ones, we need material goods that are valued in monetary terms. That's why we need money in any case. However, it is necessary to maintain balance with the spiritual world. The physical world is a temporary phenomenon for our soul, a fragment of its existence. Therefore, it is necessary that the non-material prevail over the spiritual, and on the contrary, the spiritual, which is more voluminous for the meaning of our life, has a priority of our life before the material.

Money is a tool that in the hands of a Builder can be a very important element. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to use money. How many cases have there been when people had millions and blew them for half a year. Money needs to be managed.

Even within perfect capitalsm ideals money and its worth varies considerably over time and with perspective valuations are incorrect.    There is no great wealth in accumulating something which can become worthless.

Paper money can and almost certainly long term does become worthless.   Thats not your wealth.  Money is transitory in enabling the purchase or payment of bills.  Recognise this and I think its possible to become richer or at least waste less

I'll tell you as someone very poor at times in my life, money means most when it ensures security.   When you have money for a house and food and ability to care for your family then you are very rich compared to the poorest in the world.

The irony to extreme riches is they can lose those valuable things.    All this thinking also explains the worth of gold I think, a total luxury but useful in exchange

And what's the matters? everyone has their own thoughts, for some people money can be everything because they are born in conditions that allow him to think like that, for example when in poor conditions. Then some people say that money is nothing for example in conditions he already has a lot of money or people who are in death. I only respect their opinions even though we have different opinions and I don't want people to force their about meaning of money.

I will repeat my sentence in this post.
Money created by man and money should work for man, not Vice versa. Unfortunately now people work for money. it turns out that people have become slaves of money.

Everybody needs money. If you dont have money, how can you  buy things that you needed.  But some,  because of money do bad things or used it for illegal. There is a saying that money is the root of all evil. Money is important but having a good attitude is the best, even if you have a lot of money but your attitude is bad its nothing.

THe truth is that money really isn't everything, but it's also true that most of the things in this life cost money and you need them, some are the kind that you can't lieve without, like, food and water, followed by less important things like shelter, a bed, etc. All that cost money and you will feel more accomplish once you got from the base of the needs pyramid (Maslow hierarchy of needs) to the top of it. But all cost money in a way or another (maybe friends and love don't but usually to get there you need to feed yourself first)

Everybody is looking for money one way or another. So many people have traveled out of their countries of origin to other countries in search of money. Money is the reason majority of the people are doing what they are doing at any given time. Money is what you need to execute your plan.

I think money is something that delivers the needs of our family. Life is more comfortable if there is so much money I can spend on it and we can buy something for money. I can tell myself now that without bitcoin we can not find any money, so we're here with bitcoin to get more revenue. and It is in our hands how we can sustain our money.

Money always matters.  No one can live without money.
Yeah, but hopefully you will not be controlled by money. Money can also be result to negative things especially when you can’t control yourself from unexpected things. Money is just what we need to buy things, but don’t just depend on money just to be happy.

Money matters because we have made it our primary mean of exchange and also because in current society it is roughly equivalent to political power as well due to the way we organize ourselves. I think money is different than wealth though, as the value of fiat money can quickly decrease.

So yes, money matters just as long as it has a central place in our society, as long as we collectively decide it matters but there are certainly things that matter much more in the end.

I think you should see the matrix movie again  Grin. Money may be everything but there is something bigger then this exists, Something really really big. and that stuff is called time so if you can use your time well then the equation TIME == MONEY becomes true. And I can stay a year without time but if I spend a year wasting my time then it is surely gonna kill me. Even if you do not earn money then also you can get food and other services if you invest your time in something. Although money and time have a very close relationship still they are not equal.

Life is not about paying rent, bills etc. Money could be seen as everything till you get money, those with money still suffer in different ways because you are just at different level with different needs, desires, worries etc.

Money are incredibly important in the modern world. Actually money define a life for everybody. By the way I like compare money with energy because such a comparison afford me to understand the sense of money much better. I know that money is an artificial thing which does not exist in the nature but anyway we live in the society and namely in the society money are incredible important because our current world is build in such the way that money are really important for living.

There are a lot of tribes that still live without money. I think they actually have a better life than most people, the hunter gatherer lifestyle is much less stressful than modern life.

I agree with you, money decides how much free time will you have and a possibility to choose what and how you will do, it is just about your freedom and self-esteem.
