Moneypot Owners

since 2 days we get PMs and had private discussion with a MP user who says we cheated him and all users cause we stopped them with a bot from winning on our app an lottery

as he is asking for compensation of his losses (all in all he had no losses)
we decided to go public and ask this user to present his evidence here in public to get rid of this BS

lets see if he will show up because I will send him a PM about this posting

thx

I would guess that MP has decided to back Rubies at this price so they know what max bet to allow, max profit, etc. Things of that nature. Though it is an artificially high price, it makes it much easier to project expenses and profits I think.

betterbets is sitting on a big premine of coins that they give out?

I think they insta-mined 10 million rubies in the first block. That's 100 BTC worth at the moneypot 1000 satoshi floor.

And what's the incentives here for MoneyPot to establish a guaranteed price floor? And what about all the other moneypot casinos, people only get rubies if the gamble on one of the moneypot casinos? Has MoneyPot have set aside enough money to buy 100% of all outstanding rubies?

I guess they only need 105 BTC to buy all the rubies that will exist after the first year. But I don't understand why they would be wanting to buy Rubies at an artificially high price.

Of course, the flip side to all of this is that Rubies aren't even going to eb around in 10 months. The team has already announced v2 which will be a completely separate coin.

That makes it even harder to understand. Why make a promise to "always" be willing to buy the coin for 1000 satoshis if it's going to be abandoned in a year's time?

Rubies will remain in existence for as long as the public supports it and we will support it on one of our sites unless it´s no longer used, like any blockchain it is peer to peer and will survive based on this technology or not.

For the record,

Total bet mining = total rubies mining per btc wager volume

everytime the volume goes up, that number will rise.

Bet mining available= bet mining come from the cold storage, technically part of the bankroll

If our bankroll gets killed we buy them off markets, not from cold storage.

Bet-mining allow the distribute like this : 0.1btc wager = 2 RBIES | 0.2 BTC = 4 RBIES | 0.3 BTC = 6 RBIES |.. 1btc wager = 20 RBIES.

Cheers!! ●‿●

I find the rubies thing rather perplexing.

So rubies are an altcoin that betterbets gives out, when people gamble on the better bets site? On the website they refer to it as "bet mining" but obviously that's not a real thing. I assume it means that betterbets either has the ability to issue new coins? or betterbets is sitting on a big premine of coins that they give out?

And what's the incentives here for MoneyPot to establish a guaranteed price floor? And what about all the other moneypot casinos, people only get rubies if the gamble on one of the moneypot casinos? Has MoneyPot have set aside enough money to buy 100% of all outstanding rubies?

All Rubies have already been generated. Further Rubies can only be generated through staking, which is  concept I've never truly understood the rational behind.

Of course, the flip side to all of this is that Rubies aren't even going to eb around in 10 months. The team has already announced v2 which will be a completely separate coin.

"Moneypot will always honour an exchange of at least 1000 Satoshi for Rubies."

definition -- always:

adverb

1. every time; on every occasion; without exception:
2. all the time; continuously; uninterruptedly:
3. forever
4. in any event; at any time; if necessary:

How can you make this promise when Rubies stake at 5% per year?

You seem to be promising me 5% interest on my Rubies, paid in BTC, forever.

Are you really saying that you guarantee to always buy Rubies for 0.00001000 BTC each?

Moneypot has recently backed Rubies at a 1000 Satoshi floor meaning that you can always exchange rubies for at least 1000 sats each.

We also have a program where you can buy and sell rubies easily with support, allowing players to bypass the long bitcoin confirmations and get playing right away.

hi DD

could you please explain in more depth what you mean that one can always exchange rubies for at least 1000 sats each?

what does always mean? forever? and what amount of rubies can one change always? and when will this go live?

thx

This has been live for over a week's time.

This means that Rubies should theoretically never be valued below 1000 satoshi, because Moneypot will always honour an exchange of at least 1000 Satoshi for Rubies.

More information can be found here (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16517656)

please let me ask again

what is always in time frame please?

lets say rubies go to 500 sat and you will buy my rubies for 1000 sat?

and how many can I sell you or better how many will you buy? unlimited?

Let me answer again. Smiley

sorry to ask again Smiley

always = lifetime?

and amount of rubies exchanged for 1000 sat no limit?

I send you now for example 1 000 000 rubies and I get it in BTC and this we do the whole day and night even rubies are at 500 sat?

thx

If your a big investor  you probally lost 10btc the last few days
It's 41% loss in 3 months

Agreed.
For anyone that has invested in the last 6 months, they have lost.
Not sure why gamblers would be bitching since, as I have said before, the site has been great to gamblers positions over the last 3 months.

And, just for clarification....
In 3 days time, we will be limiting the max win to 20 bitcoin.
This means that a single winning bet is maxed out at 20BTC.  Not the max a player can win.

I am curious as to how many possible bets there are currently to win amounts that high with such bets at 9bits (900 satoshi).

Also, it seems the specific gambler did his homework on which type of bet to place for the big win and then took on high risks when he started to play large amounts on another app (resulting in another nice win).  Congrats to him.  I think the 2.7kelly previously mentioned is quite high.

And the bankroll went from  1568btc to 860btc, thats a drop of 708btc
Not a good number to quote.  Some is a loss (the 181btc), but much of it is simply people taking their investment out (divesting) and investors moving their funds from investing positions to gambling positions.

Yes, thank you for this.

I apologize for not being more clear before.  We are not going to limit the amount a player can win, only the amount a player can win in a SINGLE bet.

In 3 days time, we will be limiting the max win to 20 bitcoin.

Will this be a hardcoded value or a function of some other value, like the bankroll?

When the change is in effect, attempting to place a bet that will result in a win bigger than 20 bitcoin will simply produce an error.

In 3 days time, we will be limiting the max win to 20 bitcoin.

This serves to lessen the risk of ruin for our investors.

We will be changing all references to kelly and updating our terms in the meantime.

New policy measures are currently being analyzed and reviewed.  We will be announcing changes shortly.

Thank you for your understanding.

So when investors lost some there is a change. What is the gambles are losing to much??? Are you also do something to change that? No. It's just a risk investors take and now they lost some. Something gamblers have the whole time.

Investors earned enough and now they lost some and start crying. Bad, very bad decision this.

Yeah i really agree on this statement, when players lose a lot they sure laugh behind us and never change anything but keep on getting more games and attract more people to play on their site. Mean while when investor losing they directly change the term and everything just because someone have big winning on jackpotracer. This doesnt make any sense though , why would they do that?

No one is forcing any players to go and play their games, but gamblers want to play the games. But investors have invested money to get a profit in the long run. If they don't get profit, then they will pull out their money. So if site owners think they are losing investors then they have to do something to retain the investors otherwise if no bankroll then on one can play any games.

and if there will be no players Huh this is not an option for you cause you maybe think that all players are stupid and addicted anyway

Players are for the most part unaffected.  A vast majority of bets are well under a max win of 20 bitcoin.

This is a safeguard being placed for investors.  It is our responsibility to hear the thoughts and opinions of our investors and make an executive decision on what we feel is the right balance for the longevity and health of the Moneypot system.

We always keep an open mind and are always willing to adjust if necessary to create a better balance.

What's the status on the Ruby integration? You guys have announced this twice now, but no one's seen any progress on it...

Rubies integration is at the top of the list and is being included in the new updated API.  The old code for the Rubies integration was 99% completed but needed to be completely scrapped due to development changes.

Yeah but lately many of these investors are either really impatient or they are very greedy and want like 100% yearly gains. They need to realize that it takes time to make up a bankroll and advertising. Its not moneypots issue really.

They went from a profit of 435btc to a profit of 254btc, thats a loss of 181 btc
And the bankroll went from  1568btc to 860btc, thats a drop of 708btc
all of that in 3 months, i think its a wise decision to put the investors at ease

If the investor think that it is too much then probably the investor isnt suited to invest in a gambling site afterall. There are far more crazy variance in some other site so losing few hundreds btc is not something huge and it is part of the game. Afterall moneypot has grown into one of the most popular site around
How is it the most popular? I love moneypot but that's a bold claim.

Has investments a guaranteed profit?? No, you can win, you can loose. Now the gamblers win some more and they start acting like crybabies. I hope there will be a nice big hits the next few days.
