do you mean the access to the server seeds?

Well what I mean is that most sites use the just-dice.com scheme, which makes the entire sequence of players bets derived from a single seed. This means that a hacker would only need to access the seed once, and then could offline generate all games. However MP is a little bit more secure (for certain type of attacks) in that it generates a new server seed each bet, which means that someone exploiting the games would need to be continually monitoring it. Something like that, anyway.

thx for explaining. I understand that the difference of MP security to JD is that it is more difficult for an outsider but easier for an insider. not saying it was an insider job but all options need to be investigated and to be taken into account.

@Quickseller just for info the answer/wording from RHavar was

So based on the later messages, it seems like he won ~20 BTC net profit from a ~5 bitcoin in deposits? This doesn't sound strange at all, you could ballpark is as a ~1 in 5 chance. No?

I just very recently have a user who's won ~160 BTC on the back of a 0.5 BTC (or something like that, based on what he was saying in the chat). Obviously this isn't typical (say a ~1 in 400 chance?) but I mean it's a casino where you have thousands of players, it would be strange if stuff like that didn't happen.

oops RHavar's spot on answer disappeared hmm was it deleted by OP or RHavar?

I deleted it. I figured it was a a bit harsh, and there's probably a lot of information that hasn't yet been released. I believe everyone deserves the benefit of doubt, so I'll wait until MP has come to a final decision and given a proper statement before making an ass of myself.
You had posted something along the lines that there was a 1-in-4 chance that a player would turn 1 BTC into 4 BTC (I think it was actually closer to turning 4 BTC into 16 BTC).

Could you possibly explain the math behind this statement if you assume a player is not going to "YOLO" and bet in a way so that they need a single winning bet to accomplish the above (the actual assumption would be to have a minimum of 10 winning bets, which I would speculate is on the low side regarding when most gamblers will stop....I would speculate that most gamblers would stop somewhere closer to after 100 winning bets -- the betting sequence would not need to involve equal bets, but a single win of 3.999..99 BTC and 9 wins of 0.00..0001 BTC is not a realistic sequence that a gambler would engage in).

I am not sure if this part can be expressed mathematically, however I am also curious to know the chances of a gambler BOTH having a sequence, server/client seed combination, bankroll/starting bet combination that will allow him to 4x his money AND to stop gambling before busting. For example, a gambler who wants to 10x his initial bankroll who has a server/client seed combination (ect.) that would allow him to 6x his initial bankroll will end up busting, however a gambler who is in the same situation except whose goal is to 4x his initial bankroll will end up multiplying his initial bankroll by 4x even though he could have potentially multiplied his bankroll by 6x.

I deleted it. I figured it was a bit premature to comment before MP has come to a final decision and given a proper statement, as I'm sure there's a lot of facts that haven't been released yet.

ok fair enough

but good that I have a copy because the answers were spot on and I didnt see a reason to delete those answers because it was as always very helpful answers if MP would listen to you. you tried a few times in the past to point them to some mistakes they did but they didnt listen to you even it was your baby

deleting again gives some thoughts cause as I said before that I cant find the famous "DD is behaving like a clown" posting of yours and I wonder why you would delete such helpful postings. yes the clown posting helped becuase DD immediately apologized so there was no reason to delete it

please let me ask

you wrote (very good answer and helpful if MP owners would listen to you)
"I think the smart move would be to assume he's legitimate, and carefully monitor for anything strange. Especially due to the way your server-seeds are generated (on demand, with a cryptographic RNG) it would make it particularly hard for someone to exploit without continual access, which should be monitorable.'

................it would make it particularly hard for someone to exploit without continual access, which should be monitorable
do you mean the access to the server seeds?

and

"That said, I'd give MoneyPot a bit of slack. Just looking at http://eeeth.com/mpstats/  there clearly seems to be something wrong, I wouldn't blame them for being on a heightened state of alert (which is a good thing, as they need to safe guard investors money)."

........................Just looking at http://eeeth.com/mpstats/  there clearly seems to be something wrong

yes I agree and also MP owners should recognize this. the fault in any case is on MP side because to many have server seed access IMO

Can you please send my cash outs of 4.1 bitcoin. It is not fair that it has pended for 5 days.

did it get stuck on blockchain or on MP hot wallet?

Moneypot is holding the bitcoin until I send them my national id.

sorry but I cant believe this! it is a BTC gambling site and all want to be anonymous! what does it matters who you are in real life?
they need to prove that you cheated then I would understand that they dont pay you out

my advise is dont give them your ID!
They have a term in their FAQ that says that users can stay anonymous provided they win under 10 BTC within a short period of time, or when their account is under investigation for breaking MP's TOS.

Asking for ID makes sense on the side of MP, as it allows them to pay out winnings when there are no obvious signs of cheating, but allows them to go to Law Enforcement with a potential hacker's identity in the future if evidence of cheating is discovered in the future.

sorry but I dont agree with you because IMO it is  BTC gambling and it should be for all players anonymous fun to play

it is correct that their FAQs telling us
"that says that users can stay anonymous provided they win under 10 BTC within a short period of time, or when their account is under investigation for breaking MP's TOS."

we all know that MP as owner can also write in FAQs that the player need to send in a pic standing on one foot like a flamingo before they payout the winner. MP can ask for whatever they like cause it is their own business.

but if I remember right there was also 25 BTC instead of 10 BTC. and IMO MP to be fair should write next to every FAQ change with that kind of importance the date and time when it was changed because they could change it every day or hour according to new winners. players will not check everyday the FAQs before they start playing

or lets take this from the FAQs
Who owns Moneypot?
Moneypot is owned by 3 Entrepreneurs who are passionate about bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and this company. We are incorporated in Canada as Moneypot Inc.

why wasnt this not updated or is it new info? not that long ago it was said there are 4 owners.

with this kind of FAQs I am wondering why whales or any big players should still gamble there

regarding BTC casino RHavar's answer is spot on

"Hey we think you're cheating us so could you please dox yourself" is a fairly ridiculous thing to say.  Also saying that he's made "a high amount on small deposits" and then saying that he made less than 5x his deposit is pretty misleading.  If 5BTC is a "small" amount, then 19BTC is also small.  If 19BTC is "a high amount", then 5BTC is also high.

Gambling anonymously isn't a crime.  Asking him to sign an address seem like it's just stalling for time as obviously that address belongs to somebody and they can easily sign it if they are doing something shady or legit.  It proves nothing.  If you can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you got cheated, you've got to pay this guy.  That's the risk of running an anon gambling site.  People might be trying to cheat you, but you can't withhold payment from people unless you can prove that they actually were.

We made no such claims that you were a hacker.

Our team had flagged your account and as our chain of e-mails that past days state, we would like to clarify our concerns regarding your account and recent winnings.

Your communication provided thus far has not helped in this process and the investigation is still open.

You are lying! I said nothing like that! I said I am not sending my id. Here are emails.Dear 'Basa',

Please allow us to verify your account for security purposes.

We are becoming more skeptical about your winnings with your reluctance to do so.

You have won a high normal amount of Bitcoin in a short period of time on low deposit amounts.

There is no public record of your username or e-mail anywhere to be found.

Your withdrawal addresses are often new addresses which are quickly involved with several outputs and no easy connection to a single place of storage.

Your betting pattern lines up with past big winners off of low deposit amounts and we currently have no way of knowing you are not connected to any.

We also can not confirm that your IP is being spoofed via a VPN or Tor network.

You have already successfully withdrawn 19.355 Bitcoin off of 4.770469 Bitcoin in deposits already.

We would like to move on with this and pay you out the remainder after either verifying your identity and the legitimacy of the wins or after receiving an exploit report.

I have only received 14 bitcoin of the sends. I am new to moneypot and have never played. I do not know about the transaction inputs. I use only Coinbase and blockchain wallets.  My funds are stored in blockchain wallet and I convert with exchanges.

I have not exploited moneypot. I barely passed college intro classes. Now I'm definitely scared to send my id because you accuse me of being malicious when I have done nothing bad. You can't prove that I have because my bets align with other winners.

Send me my 4.1 bitcoin and I will never comeback if that's what you want. Jackpotracer on bitcointalk told me you are a scam and do this a lot. I have posted on your thread with my user ultrabat.

My ip is not linked to a vpn. You should be able to tell if it were.

You changed the terms. You are cheating me. I want my bitcoin today. There are no more delays needed.

would you please be so kind to share your betting pattern? the big dice winner and a few more had a very obvious pattern and lets see if it is the same, thx

BTW I never said that MP is a scam! I will always say what I think and dont need anyone to do it for me Smiley and the day I think MP is a scam I will write it in big red letters

good luck to get your money cause a player needs to get his money!

Sending you a PM.

You keep trying to discredit me. I have done nothing wrong! You make me not want to give you my id more and more. You are not being fair! Is this how you treat players of your site? Most likely I would have lost the bitcoin anyway back to your site but you don't even give me a chance without accosting me.

We have not attempted to discredit you in any form.  We did not disclose any information about you or post any details that we have.

The posting of this in public is all in your own doing and we will still not release any unneeded information on this forum or any other public space.

edit; We have not had any other real problems with any other players.  Your account was specifically flagged.  This isn't to say that we are accusing you of any cheating, but that it requires more investigation after having processed several bitcoin withdrawals already.

Release it. I have done nothing wrong. I don't even know why you are accusing me outside of these flags you speak of in your email!

I was asked for screenshots of addresses and will send them.

Yes those are some of the reasons we have our suspicions as well as some other concerns.

With this being your account, are you able to sign this address here ( 1CRJwYvJK8bTjt3YFDQ9Jkv3rFhsQecYqK ) from https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15674833 ?

I can't sign it. It's a Coinbase address!

very good! cause it is a shame to ask anyone in BTC gambling scene for their ID

I dont know about how much we are talking about but there was once a very big winner of 72 BTC and I wonder if he also had to give them the ID? thta would mean that MP owners know who NotTardy is

They are accusing me of being a hacker. Why would I send them my id?
