I do not know why Airdrop is. My and my friends made bounty a prize win, valued, the result is a profitable investment. I hope everyone can be so lucky.
There are a lot of fake and scam airdrop around that if care is not taken one will just waste his/her precious time doing airdrop. I could remember vividly when I first joined bounty hunting, I devote 70% of my time in hurting airdrop and more than 80% of these bounties never pay till this moment which called for a very big suspicion. So my advice will be that you trend with caution when dealing with airdrop so as not to waste time.
They can be good or can be bad, you just needto have a bit of luck and you can have one or two who can really be worth, like people who got airdrop by HYDRO or ONT or probably FRESCO. Of course most will gives you 2 or 3$ but it's still money and added together can make you a bankroll that you can put into 1 or 2 serious ico and get some benefits.
Just be careful, don't jump on the airdrop right away, don't put any private key, be really careful if they ask for a KYC, do your research. If you follow these things you will remove the fake one easily and the rest is just bonus at the end!

Yes, I constantly come across projects that do not give me money. I'm very sad about this. In addition, some projects promise that their coin will cost much more, and in fact this coin is almost worthless.
It will just scam your time for them to make more followers in twitter and telegram group. Airdrop is just a low profit, don't focus on here. I'm very sad for those people who always do airdrop but until now there's no profit.
Not all the campaigns that is on here is going to scam you. Airdrops are alright sometimes but it usually does not pay out enough to the people in there.

Legit airdrop generally hosted by popular ICO or atleast ICO that has gained its popularity among many people, the scam ones are those coin that can't even hire a designer to design a good looking announcement thread, don't bother to join their airdrop because you may imposed to the risk of data stealing. Just for a warning, it's better to keep your ID or passport in your hand than giving it away to stranger for the sake of few bucks.

I agree with this statement. If in past times at least 10-15% of airdrops were decent, now 2-5% or even less a worth paying attention...
With so many scam airdrops going on, real airdrop project get scared away leaving just the scams left.
I have felt numb about false airdrops. I think we can't rely on the quality of our airdrops to earn profits. We can only rely on quantity to maintain! Because there are so many fake airdrops!
Agreed with you, most of the projects are not enough soft cap, so their airdrop becomes worthless. Others are designed to steal personal information and fraud. You should be careful with them
I've joined so many airdrops and every one of them turned out to be a waste of time. It's just that you never know.
I've also done my part on filling up some airdrop coins and it takes a lot of time and some it are just a scam or shit coins that's no real vision. Its ICO has no vision or getting listed on some exchanges and this kind of ICO are just made just to fraud investor's money. just saying though.
Yeah , because of those un-trusty aidrops it realy affects the good purposes of it . Airdrops before is really useful, but because of many airdrops comes out now , which is not true or a part of scam , it makes airdrop worst.
More and more airdrop is a lie, I do not recommend participation in airdrop, because there are at most a few 100 airdrop quality, so I think it should not be a waste of time.
I think so too because I know a lot of people who join the airdrops and get a free token and so I'm sure more and more are joining in the airdrop the more the air droplets are a lie because of most tokens 100 airdrops that have good quality
Most likely, yes, most airdrops are useless and do not bring any benefit and money, but it also happens that the project fires and brings a huge amount of money! 
Well.. i have been following the Airdrops like a mad dog for the past 1 month.. and almost registring for around 20 plus airdrops on daily basis.. they are flooding on Twitter, and facebook groups,.. but 90% of these tokens are not ever listed on the exchanges and the rest 10% are of very very low values.. 0.0something of a USD.. i think you are right that they are a lie and will remain a lie.. i was actually hoping for a jackpot but i guess those things don't happen in real
An example is datecoin (DTC) airdrop telegram bot, their airdrop absolutely lie they just want to large community that finally airdrop participant must pay 0.1 eth to get token

Yes, most airdrops are a hoax, but there are times when airways really bring money! I would advise you to monitor projects and participate in those aidrops that belong to promising projects!
Some of my acquaintances earned well using the airdrops. At the same time, time costs are much less than, for example, to participate in the bounty campaign. But now, in my opinion, it is really waste of time. Although there are exceptions, of course...
Last year was good, now it's a waste of time or worse. Stop following them and maybe next year the quality will improve.
