Well, yes, it is. It's good that now more and more people are beginning to understand this and no longer lose their money by encouraging promoters
I am not sure about which coin your mentioning about some coins raised fund and listed in some exchanges like Hitbtc where the huge manipulators only work . Still there is lots of working product some ICO even collected only softcap but came up with great projects.
I kind of agree with you. And the whole pumping and dumping thing is very annoying. They increase the price of altcoins for short amount of time and fool others. I wish these pump groups could be banned or something should be done about them.
These pump groups are no one other than so called big corporates who try to manipulate the crypto market with power of the money by creating more demand thus increasing the value and then cashing out once the target is achieved.

Well, you can not say this about everyone, some projects are not created in advance for deception, but they do not stand the pressure or lack the means for further development. These are really a pity, and those who are specially created as a pump and then become a full-fledged shitcoin in principle need to be blacklisted.

Fortunately only most of them are worth nothing.There are still some good projects in the market.

Clearly not yet the market hasn't realized most alts are worth nothing, as I can still see over one thousand currencies still active in trading. It is only when most of these coins are actually worth next to nothing, or the trading volume gets low it has a ? for volume can we say the alt is dead or near dead. Right now they still seem to be kicking and alive.
This is a matter exclusively of supply and demand. We can say that bitcoin doesn't cost anything, but we see that it costs and price is huge.

The reason behind the coin is paramount. While some coin promoters are serious, most coin promoters are not serious.They go to sleep once the coin manages to enter one exchange. Coins that are determined to excel will be consistent in their efforts and will achieve their target or at least make a pass mark. Some few coins are worth it, but the majority are mere names. For crypto lovers it is a matter of choice.

Most new coins are only for pump and dump. Firstly altcoins were used for pump and dump(see yobit's dead coins) and now it seems that the same story is happening with erc20 initial coin offers.
Your point is not right, because the value of coin depends on the number of developers and publishers developing good ecosystems.

its because publishers and promoters are in a field of publishing, not to maintain the ecosystem on the community that DEV has to do. as we can see all coins in the market are in the very dig dip and going more dipper as time pass by, so it cannot help. but to convince all holders to hold their assets as they can to avoid massive dumpaton that can cause a huge loses for everyone of us.

The cleanup is needed. Bad projects will be eliminated in time and only legit ones will stay for long term.
It's healthier in the long run. We don't need more scam projects.
i think that's a bit of an overstatement. there's still some alts with values, those with solid teams/concepts/products and have real use cases. But the days of getting 100x from an ico are certainly behind us, or much much rarer in any case.
I have to admit that most ico projects will die in the next few years just like the new companies all over the world, the most important thing for this project is making useful product or services to earn money, without this, the investment will surely to be failure. But I think there will be some projects can survive.
This may be true, altcoin up but not developed or no good idea will devalue fast! Some developers also release altcoin to cheat for profit.
lot of scams have mushroomed everywhere. These days people have started thinking crypto as money minting machine but actually this is not the case. Lots of clone projects are lying everywhere which soon shall consolidate into single projects or shall be wiped out completely from crypto worls. then only real growth shall take place.
Unlike you think, although there are many altcoin failures and worth them zero, But there are many altcoin developers that survive for so long their prices soar. Not all altcoins are zero. Trust in Crypto and invest in them. You should hold them for a long time. You will receive a profit in the future.
As i said in one other thread, most of the coins are useless und just a copy from other coins. With the time most of them will disappear for sure. So just stick to the big guys on the market.
There are indeed way too many ICO that are either fraudulent, scams, cash grabs or just have no real use case to be on the blockchain. But investors are just throwing money at them thinking they will be the next bitcoin...
We really must be discerning in what are the altcoins or ICO to invest in.
Look at the white paper and ask the correct questions.. you will learn a lot about the altcoin and whether you should get involved.

I think one reason is because of the decrease in the value of bitcoin, and also because of the numerous icos that are existing right now. More competitors, the harder for the project to stand out and become valuable. Also because of the token that come from airdrops that doesnt really have values
