but even though in the qualifying session he was in second place, in the racing session he was disqualified and bagnia finished in 15th place. so there is still a possibility that bagnia will win the race in mandalika if he can organize his strategy well.
This season's Mandalika MotoGP race might be very different from last year if the track conditions were dry, and today I saw that several riders had arrived in Bali for racing purposes, but because some of them arrived early, maybe they could use a little time for vacation and have fun there before Friday. I predict that the competition between Bagnaia and Martin will continue to be fierce like this until the end of the season because these two riders use motorbikes with the same specs even though their teams are different.

and for márquez i am also happy that finally the honda racer was able to get on the podium even though he was only in 3rd place. however, from the rumors i heard that márquez will move to gresini and that will be announced at the mandalika race later. even though this news is still a rumor, it is very strong, and i would really regret it if márquez really left honda.
Rumors about Marquez's move from Honda to Gresini racing have actually been very widespread since two weeks ago. It's just because there is no basic certainty from Marquez's side, certain media owners continue to make this news even more exciting, so even until the Mandalika race, the media will continue to wait for it. It's fun to wait for confirmation because Marquez himself still has a contract with Honda until the end of next season, so Marquez will have to pay something if he actually moves to Gresini Racing next season.

Max Verstappen is the clear favorite for the remaining races of the season. If Mclaren or Mercedes finish the season without winning a race, it will be the first time since 2007 that a Mercedes powered car has not won a race in a season. My prediction is that they will finish the season empty. Also Mercedes factory team, Mercedes Amg Petronas, has won a race every year since 2012. But that will come to an end if they don't win. It would be a disappointing situation for Mercedes to end the season without a win. A major overhaul of the team seems likely.

@karabiber Max has taken racing to a whole new level and he definitely looks unstoppable to me thus it won’t be surprising if he wins all the remaining races. Furthermore Mercedes needs a factory reset because if they don’t make major changes then they’ll continue to suffer and probably end up like Ferrari who only makes tall claims and then fails to deliver.

For McLaren, the possibility that they will win the remaining races is quite big considering how the McLaren duo perform. But for Mercedes it will be quite difficult for them to win because besides having to fight McLaren, they also have to fight Ferrari, which has recently been quite aggressive in competing with RBR and McLaren.

Im McLaren fan for long time since Senna and Prost compete and always was even with dark times (new Honda era that works perfect for RBR).
To be honest cant remember when I last saw McLaren that good. New management and they are back on top where they should be.

Hope to see them win one race till season is over i sincerely hope they will do it.

I'm not much hopeful about a Mercedes or McLaren driver to get a win in the remaining races. Singapore was the only chance for them. But Sainz defended Norris - Russell duo amazingly at the same time and his strategy was a really smart one.  Smiley  Now I think there is no way Verstappen giving other drivers a single chance.

Verstappen has become even more ambitious for the remaining races. He wants to win every last one of them by at least 20 seconds. By the way I would also like to add a piece of interesting information related to this season. As far as I know currently Verstappen and Hamilton are the only drivers who have got points in every race.  Grin

^  Red Bull's lack of pace in Singapore is just a fluke.  For some reason, they couldn't get their tires warmed up as fast as the other teams which is odd.

Here's the schedule for the Qatar GP.

2023 F1 Qatar GP Schedule
Track:  Lusail International Circuit, Qatar

Oct 6, Friday:  Practice 1  16:30 - 17:30
Oct 6, Friday:  Qualifying  20:00 - 21:00
Oct 7, Saturday:  Sprint Shoot Out 16:00 - 16:45
Oct 7, Saturday:  Sprint  20:30 - 21:30
Oct 8, Sunday:  Race  20:00

^  I was thinking 'meh a sprint race' as I was making the schedule.  I hope Verstappen falters somewhere and makes it a more interesting race.  This is prolly one of the most boring seasons in F1.

We are in another race week in Formula 1.  Smiley  This time we are going to watch the Qatar GP and there is going to be a sprint race as well. They have introduced the trophy that Verstappen will win in Qatar already.  Grin  I don't expect any unexpected result here honestly. Verstappen should be able to maintain his high dominance just as he did in Japan.

After the Singapore GP he has started to be even more ambitious. Because that result must be really demoralizing for him even though he is still very comfortable in the lead in the driver standings. I hope we can see at least one Ferrari driver on podium too.

martin and bagnia are only 3 points apart at the moment, which is a very small gap. if bagnia is unable to win first place in the upcoming mandalika race, it is certain that bagnia will lose his first place to martin. and it is possible that martin will be the winner this year if we look at how martin has performed in the last few races.

Pecco Bagnaia was lucky. He could still finish second because he is usually not good on wet tracks.
And the possibility of Jorge Martin overtaking Pecco Bagnaia in the Top 1 of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship standings in Mandalika is very possible.
In last year's race, Martin was very competitive in Mandalika. He finished second in qualifying.
It will be exciting to see the competition between the two drivers in the remainder of this season.

By the way, I am happy with the results achieved by Marc Marques in Motegi. The Baby Aliens is back Cool

Bagnaia should be conservative to say the least after what he has suffered. He has the example of Marquez who despite crashing constantly got back to racing to have real damage to him for racing and not doing well from quite a lot of time now.
The accidents that happened to Bagnaia and Marquez were so different that I would not assume that Bagnaia also suffered like what Marquez experienced throughout this season. Because in terms of health, I think Bagnaia is fine and so is Marquez, but the difference here is the motorbike they ride so they always have very different final results in every race that has taken place this season.

He,Bagnaia with just a bit of luck can get this Championship in MotoGP but as I said he should not go over his capabilities otherwise he risks to crash again and this can lead to more problems so it will be really interesting how this remaining races of MotoGP develop and the competition will be fierce that's for sure.
With the points gap being as close as it is now between Bagnaia and Martin, the competition in MotoGP actually looks quite fierce again with only six races remaining. Now Bagnaia only needs to think about finishing ahead of Martin in order to maintain the points distance even though he also has to consider the risk of falling during the race, because I don't think Bagnaia's mentality has dropped yet to continue trying his best in every remaining race this season.

After the Mandalika Indonesia race, there are still five races remaining in this season and this is still an opportunity for Bagnaia to block Martin's pace and again make up the points gap this season. So it's still too early to conclude about losing the championship this season for Bagnaia because currently there are still six more races for Bagnaia to collect as many points as he can, although other possibilities can still happen and it's not just for one rider.

It seems like you only saw qualifying at Mandalika last year, because when the race was finished there was no Jorge Martin's name in the top 10 or even in the top 15 last year at Mandalika. So how do you conclude that he was very competitive last year, when he didn't score any points in last year's Mandalika race? You can read it here: databoks and detik.com

This even made me have to laugh because throughout this season Marc Marques suffered a lot on his Honda motorbike, but when he was fortunate by the Red Flag and got third place on the podium, you could say the Baby Aliens is back Cheesy. It seems like you rarely watch MotoGP races this season so it's easier to draw conclusions that I think are less than logical.

Bagnaia needs a bit to recover from that heavy incident he had and he is a bit scared,he knows very well that he should be very conservative even if it costs him to lose the title as if he tries to overdo it he risks to crash again and make things complicated further not only for this season but even for the upcoming one.

I would not be surprised if he loses this year title in order to save himself possible health problems and by doing so he will hopefully be ready for next year where he will have big chances to win the title again,of course I am not saying that he will surrender without fight,I am saying he will not overdo it.

Yes certainly but I wasn't referring to that.
I was referring to what he did at the beginning of the season, when he was the fastest on the track and in two normal races and in two sprint races if I remember correctly where he crashed alone, easily losing at least 60 points.

As far as I know Liam Lawson is very likely to race in Qatar in Ricciardo's stead once again. Because it is said that Ricciardo's injury still exists.

This is a golden opportunity for Liam Lawson on one hand. It wasn't easy for him to find a seat before but now he has a chance to prove his skills. So far his performance has been really decent as well. There are even rumours on the internet like Lawson could be the one to take Perez's seat as of the 2025 season. Do you think that we can really see him there?

Liam Lawson is indeed a good talent. He has shown us some from his skills so far also. But getting a seat at the team at top like Red Bull isn't that easy. Lawson will need to do much better than this to convince the bosses of bigger teams. Maybe Perez has had some really problematic races in this season but he is still one of the most experienced players on the grid.

But even getting a permanent contract from AlphaTauri would be a good start for him for sure. Because he is just a replacement for Ricciardo for now.

If he gets a seat at AlphaTauri like I said or a seat at a mid-level team for example he can improve his skills in time to increase his chance for one of top teams also.

Bagnaia can easily lose the title at the moment.

Remember when I said he has been so bad at the start of the season when he slipped 3 times when he was in the top 2?

He almost deserves to lose it.

Riccardo may race the next GP after the crash he got.

This week he will do hard work on the simulator and if he passes the test he will race.

If we look at his performance from the simulator, we can say that he is ready for the next race, but the simulator is just a simulator, it might be different from the real race and his performance could be better or worse. But of course we all hope that he can give his best performance compared to what Lawson showed and hopefully he can show maximum results.

I've heard that these simulators are as close to what the conditions of the track plus the actual car that the drivers are racing can be. I'm pretty sure that the team is only testing Ricciardo's reflexes at this point and would love to know whether he is already fit to drive once more. By the looks of it, he seems to have recovered pretty good from the crash. Although of course it would be under AlphaTauri's discretion on whether or not they'll put him in the next race.

Martin is currently in top form, pole position and also won the sprint race. Bagnaia has experienced a good and important third place, tomorrow Martin and Bagnai will race for the victory but will Bagnaia also finish?

Congratulations from me also to Binder for a good performance 💪
