Slava Ukraini!
I agree that Imola probably isn't most exciting track for current track. But I happy about these news. I always would pick old school tracks like Imola against these boring artificial city tracks like Jeddah, Miami, Abu Dhabi and so on.

It is just announced that there will be a F1 Manager 2022 game! I can't wait for it to happen, with the amazing innovations on the computer technology and game engines, it could be so much great.

Interesting stuff, definitely going to try. Maybe it's not worth to expect such level game like Football Manager, but still, it should be interesting.

Yup!  Can't wait to see the cars in action!  I think this test will be open to the public for broadcast or streaming.
Yeah, there will be live broadcast of tests and proper live timing. Finally we will see cars in action. From tests in Barcelona we got very limited data.

I wrote it wrongly yesterday.

The GP of Imola will be in the calendar UNTIL 2025 from this year and not FROM 2025.

Life, Love and Laughter...
If Marquez is able to start well it could be that he will be champion today. Then for a good start they will start from grid one and two. It's hard to guess the winner today, but my guess favourites are the three riders who started the lead. If you look at the qualifying results, it looks very yamaha so helpless with the power of the bike. The dominance of large power motors is on grids 1 to 10. Yamaha is only Quartararo the best in 11th position.
If someone wish Quartararo a champion maybe it takes luck. Let's see when we're in a moment, it's currently in the Moto2 race.
Quartararo and Marquez haven't had luck today, both are finished in the 9th and 5th positions, domination is still Ducati and Suzuki. Even though Marquez was in position 2nd position behind Espargaro in the first lap but both can't do until the finish. In another side, a favorite champion, Bagnaia because a crash, get incident with Jorge Martin. in the next race in our country, Mandalika.
Congratulations to Enea Bastianini who managed to finish in first place at the opening of the Qatar MotoGP race this season, when the race started Marquez and Pol Espargaro started the race well but both were unable to maintain their position properly so they were overtaken by other riders, it's a shame Bagnaia and JorgeMartin because that incident they didn't get any points because neither of them could continue the race until the end.
The next race which will be held at the Mandalika Indonesia circuit seems very exciting to watch because this is the first time a MotoGP race has been held.

Bastianini was lined at 10.18 to win at Playbetr.  Did anybody drop a little action in the race?  I've been asking for some betting advice, none seemed to be sharing what they think about the race from a betting perspective.

We are in the final week ok the F1 test and most of the cars will uncover secrets this week.

The test will be in Bahrain, where the 1st race of the season will take place.
8 hours per day since Thursday.

Also, is it rumored about (already) an irregular car, in this case, Redbull.

And yeah, no surprise.  It's expected for the cars to have a bit of kinks and quirks at the start of the season...  Especially with the new specs.  Another rumor swirling around is the Ferrari could be the fastest this season.  I think has something to do with their power unit.

Here is the video of it and you can find it on steam right now and add it to your wishlist as well. It will probably not be awesome right on the first day and will lose a lot of people because of the bugs, but when completely finished and if open to workshop modding, this game could really become the thing we all wanted, or at least what I wanted. Plenty of people played motorsports manager both on PC and on mobile like crazy for years, and they were not even that great when you consider many aspects of it, and had little to no graphics as well. With the new frontier development team help, this game could become something amazing if done correctly.

I also prefer to watch it on TV because the Mandalika committee has set ticket prices that are very expensive so some people see that it is no longer affordable and there is also news that says ticket sales in Mandalika are very quiet and not sold out during the Pre-season test a few weeks ago.

Of course I would also love to see the television because the race every moment will be clearly visible with the camera. I don't have much money to buy tickets. In addition, the cost of travel is also quite far.
If you look at the price of the package from local media, ticket prices are shared into 4 categories.
1. VIP Hospitality Suites - Three-day package (Friday-Sunday) around $710 - $1060
2. Premium Grandstand - Two day package (Saturday-Sunday) around $185
3. Standard Grandstand - Two day package (Saturday-Sunday) around $125
4. General Admission (non-seating area) - Two-day package (Saturday-Sunday) around $60
It may be quite cheap without travel costs for non seating area classes.
Furthermore, regarding the circuit hopefully soon finished, so that the race can run smoothly and there is no more spillover regarding the dirty track. As for who will win it seems very difficult to guess, but a lot of straights at Mandalika and maybe Ducati, Honda or KTM favourites.

Bastianini's dedication is indeed very big and he has dedicated the victory to the late Fausto Gresini who has built the Gresini Racing team in his lifetime and what I see Bastianini is more suited to the specs of this Ducati GP21 motorcycle, even though it was last year's motorcycle spec but it is still very fast to use in the race and one more thing that Bastianini chose the right tires that night.
There's no Yamaha in the top three, it looks bad. In fact they only had one Quartararo name at rank nine. Is this a bad start for Yamaha? Estimates of many fans have proven at this time they have difficulty competing with large power motors.
Mandalika Indonesia's next series, there is no official race record here. If you look at the track there,  I think there are a lot of long straights. Maybe Yamaha will struggle here again, and Ducati will dominate a lot.

It is official, Imola will be back in F1 from 2025.
It is a historical track but I really don't like it, hard to overtake.

Haas may go for Giovinazzi or Magnussen for replacing Mazepin.

I like the Imola Grand Prix an old school track with gravel beds etc. if you make a mistake there the race can be over. But as you write, it's hard to overtake, but maybe the track will be rebuilt? But there will already be races this year in April or do you think Imola is fixed until 2025?

It's whoever who take the lead spot and hold on to it until the race is finished. I think pit stops will play a crucial role for drivers since the track is somewhat cramped on lots of corners, and fast sections approaching corners are really tight. Unless someone is daring enough to overtake on certain spots, they can take the lead as surely other drivers won't contest. It's an interesting track, though I agree they must update it for even interesting races in the future. It's a wasted track if they don't tend to it and upgrade it.

I personally like Imola the way it is right now and that for a reason, only some very bold drivers or drivers with a huge advantage of their car compared to other drivers will make a move to overtake. The safety car is another added option here if it becomes a mess in the first few turns which maybe the case and this track is really narrow which adds to the beauty.I am very happy that Imola will stay until 2025 with the F1 calendar. It will be one of the early races of the season so we can expect to see the true power of the cars during this race.

Of course I am happy that Mandalika officially became one of the hosts of the Moto GP world event. I can't wait for March 20th, I hope there will be no delay. The news is currently the committee is continuing to perfect the circuit's shortcomings after several trials from several teams were conducted. One of them is the asphalt repair that is too dirty. I hope it's done soon.
Of course maybe I will see on Television because the ticket price seems too expensive. Even though I'm in Indonesia, I'm quite a long distance from the race area and it takes a lot of money. Watching TV seems like it's going to be more fun.

The last specification from Ducati, last year's model, is very competitive, even the factory Ducati riders use last year's engine because the engine doesn't behave so aggressively.
Ducati seems to have homologated three engine models this season and in their own factory they use the 2021 version of the engine with the addition of hybrid technology so that Bagnaia and Miller feel they don't really fit into their bikes and often experience problems during the Race so that only Bastianini is able to perform well in the race Qatar used last year's spec bikes, while Zarco and Martin also felt the same way as Bagnaia and Miller so they couldn't perform well even though the two Pramac Racing riders had already used the 2022 version of the engine this season.

Quote
But Yamaha can't do anything about the engine this season, the engine specifications are frozen for this season and only Aprilia is allowed to work on the engine, but for how long? Think Aprilia is strong enough this year to lose the concession points status.
Aprilia has started to develop gradually and has proven to be able to overtake Repsol Honda in the Qatar Opening Race, so Marquez himself must be willing to finish in fifth position after being overtaken by Aleix Espargaro with Aprilia racing.
Yamaha in general will not be so strong this season and they should really be able to improve next year because this year they can't develop the engine anymore.

The 2022 MotoGP World Championship has started in Qatar. Bagnaia lost control of his motorcycle at the corner causing him and Pramac Ducati rider Martin to be eliminated. This was very sad for them. Bastianini who started the race very eagerly passed the opponents one by one and gained the leadership in the first corner when the final five laps were reached. Using his 1.5 second advantage Bastianini won his first MotoGP victory.

Testing is never really the real results of the teams. Last year Mercedes had one of the worst testing results of any team and they still ended up winning the season, maybe lost in the drivers but won the team cup and that should show us that testing is never really the important aspect. We need to wait for Bahrain, and that is usually a great race to show the power of the engine as well. Sure there are some good turns there as well but the straight race power is a lot more important on that one.

And I believe that we are going to see Mercedes do awesome there again, engine did not changed much, just the speed while being close to each other changed big time, rest should be a little less difference. So, I am guessing Mercedes will have a field trip during Bahrain and if that is actually the case, we are going to see them dominate the season again.

My guess wasn't wrong, but I was surprised by Bastianini he was able to steal the crowd's attention. Maybe he's looked good since qualifying and performed well in the race. Bastianini became the first rider to bring Gresini's team back to the championship after 16 years. Congratulations Gresini, I hope you continue to be stable.
There is clear evidence of Yamaha in this race to immediately improve its speed, if there is no improvement it may be a bad season for them.

Enea Bastianini managed to win because he used Soft - Medium tires so that he was able to maintain the tires and race rhythm very well and was able to create fast laps during the race.
And what is very unfortunate for Marquez because he has doubts about the Soft - Medium tire pair because he had crashed during the WUP and tried to use Soft - Soft tires during the race which the results were very disappointing.

My impressions of the first MotoGP race are as follows: the manufacturers are closer together than ever before (except for Yamaha, which is very weak). So almost anyone can win and it has to be ridden on the last "groove".

Marc is competitive but not yet fully fit, the factory Ducati team was disappointing in the first race, Honda, Aprilia and Suzuki have made great progress, Yamaha is as expected not competitive and won't be this year because there are no engine upgrades allowed.

Congratulations to Bastianini and the new Gresini team, very strong performance.
