Of course, Quartararo has a favorite. but I think he will get a lot of resistance from Ducati. As I can see, Martin, Zarco, Bagnaian, and Bastianini, she is surrounded by the Ducati team. as we know, Mandalika has a hairpin bend with hard to beat it, Marquez has experienced it and got crashed twice. Fabio has skill with the bend, if he chooses good tires in this morning he will get the victory.

The Mandalika Circuit has a lot of corners, so that's what Fabio Quartararo will take advantage of today, considering that Ducati can't bring out much potential at the Mandalika Circuit, where the straights are not as long as other circuits.
So I prefer Fabio Quartararo as the winner today if he can be very consistent and don't make any mistakes during the race.

Unfortunately Marc Marquez got injured due to the few crashes during the classification and he cant participate in the race today. Not really good news for his fans in Indonesia but at least the race is running now although it was delayed because of heavy rain in Mandalika. It is a wet race now, Quartararo did a great start but he is now down in 5th position. On top of that, this event is a big history for Indonesia.

I was very surprised when I saw the Mandalika MotoGP qualifying today where a lot of riders fell, including Marquez himself, fell twice today and once yesterday.
And congrats to Fabio Quartararo who has earned the Pole Position this season after struggling in Qualification and FP, because during the race in Qatar a few weeks ago he also suffered a lot with the performance of the bike.

My favorite is still the Ducati. Quartararo became a Yamaha rider who was surrounded by Ducati, Aprillia, and KTM. This is a question for me, why only one. The distance of the other Yamaha riders is very far even outside the top 10. Did they build a bike just for Quartararo? This is bad.
In addition, unpredictable weather problems made it difficult for some teams, which made it interesting. Maybe if the weather changes to rain the Ducati will be even better.

The beauty about this 2022 F1 season is that all the teams are well-scattered among the places. Since there is a new car and new regulations, all of the teams are placed on the drawing board figuring out the most plausible aerodynamic crafts to make their cars faster. Unlike the previous season, Mercedes and Redbull were among the teams that showed dominance throughout the entire grand prix.

But the biggest difference is, all of the teams currently have a chance to at least snatch the first pole position in 2022 Bahrain GP. It was such a good sight to see Ferrari back on track again- Leclerc getting that pole position into quali. That is why, I am so excited for this season!

New circuits provide new challenges, and the fastest learners will earn the ultimate reward! 🏆 Who will make history in Mandalika this afternoon? 🤔 #IndonesianGP 🇮🇩

I'm more sure that Yamaha will dominate here, especially Quartararo if he doesn't have an accident or other technical problems, because the time he made in qualifying yesterday has given a sign that Quartararo can be very strong to fight in front.

Everyone has seen the MotoGP Qualifier at the Mandalika circuit today and a lot of interesting things happened today at the Mandalika Circuit which led me to make a special prediction about Quartararo who will win tomorrow's race if he doesn't crash.
What about everyone's predictions here ? is there a different prediction with me ?

Don't underestimate Mercedes.

They have some problems, true but when they will figure out how to fix the porposing they will be the Team.

But we are still early and by the end of the season, these cars will probably be at least 1 second faster so the team who will get more "deep learning" will win.

The fact that Haas became a lot better this season shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. For the past 2 seasons (even a bit 2.5 seasons) they have been pouring every single possible money into making the next seasons car even better. This is not really that much shocking considering they realized they couldn't profitably keep on making some money while trying to be at the top, and they never really had a top place for a long.

This is why I believe that there is a good chance that they will be good this season, and if they can have a sustainable good season and another year, then they will be getting more sponsors and get money. If not then they will end up being bad again.

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc finished first in the qualifying laps of the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix and won the pole position. Ferrari drivers performed very well in qualifying. Ferrari thus made a very strong start.

Ferrari performed very well today. And the last training sessions they have also been very good. It's different on Sunday when they race against each other, but Mercedes seems to be having a really hard time. Leclerc is a very nice guy, he will certainly be awarded to compete for the title. LeClerc still favorite to win the race tomorrow? Or Verstappen. Hamilton is a long way off at the moment, but it's only the first race of the season.

Awesome, sorry to all I really underestimated the personal performance. Honda was really weak for me which I didn't expect... but that's how it is and I think it's damn good and unpredictable. Perfect for a world championship.

I honestly don't know what to think about Mercedes. I can't imagine Mercedes being so much behind Ferrari and Redbull. It could also just be tactics today, and they'll be great tomorrow with Hamilton and WIlliams. It was to be expected that Verstappen would be good, but I didn't think Ferrari would be this good. It's nice that there are now several drivers and several teams that are closer to each other. In previous years it was a battle between Mercedes and Red Bull, that will be different this season.

I got the prediction correctly  Grin

I wasn't a long way off, either. Cheesy

I'd have Max to win, with Ferraris 2 and 3... and the same for qualifying, unless Perez can somehow split the red cars.

I don't think qualifying revealed any surprises, everyone is about where we thought they would be. Maybe I'm a bit surprised at Bottas being so high, but nothing really other than that.
So we've seen the raw pace that the cars have, the questions for tomorrow are what's overtaking and close following like, is it easier as intended? Will tyre deg be improved - I think early indications from the drivers are it's not as good as hoped. And then finally, will there be any reliability issues?

Mercedes looks like it is out of the fight for winning races at least until Monaco I would predict, sure they told Lewis Hamilton that we got a lot of pace to recoup during the initial phase of the F1 season but I think they are quite slow compared to Ferrari and Redbull and George Russell it is even more than 1 second slower.I can't wait for tomorrow race which I predict Redbull will win based on their experience in the latest years and Ferrari has screw up several times the strategy since the time Vettel was with them fighting for the title so it would be interesting to see the race tomorrow.

Indeed, Ferrari is proving that it invested heavily in improvements to its car, it wasn't just rumors and anxiety.
It's great to have a "red leader" in F1 again, now let's see if Leclerc can handle the pressure and maintain that position until the end of tomorrow's race.

On the other hand, I expected a better result from mercedes, at least third position for us to see a good fight

That was the first time that i was really looking forward to the beginning of the new Formula 1 season since probably at least 10 years or so after the exciting fight for the championship last year. I think that this season can be even more exciting and even more close than the last one was as we have seen some surprising performances already today. Ferrari looked really strong even in the first training back in Madrid but back then everyone was still expecting that the top teams Red Bull and Mercedes were just bluffing and that they could easily keep up with Ferrari if they would have wanted to. Seems like that wasn't really the case. Red Bull is pretty close to Ferrari but Mercedes is already a few tenths of a second behind.

^  Yup the first 5 races should prolly show which teams are at which places mostly they are on the grid for the rest of the season.  But for this qualifying I feel like it's Verstappen's to lose.  I'd laugh my ass off if the Mercs are really sand bagging.  Can't wait!  Just 30 mins more to go!

Edit:  Just at Q1.  This is looking to be one of the most exciting qualifying sessions imo...

Edit:  Wooow.  Interesting...

And check out Bottas.  Cheesy

The top 3 teams seem to be closet than expected.

Ferrari is still rumored to be not on full power, probably RBR too. Mercedes was probably higher.

I'm really looking forward to watching the qualifying session now. I watched the FP3 as well and Verstappen - Leclerc duo were the most impressive drivers again. Verstappen seems to be the number one contender for the pole position currently. But we can watch a fierce fight between him and Leclerc. Hamilton still seems to be slower than his teammate Russell. It doesn't seem like he will be successful in the qualifying but I wouldn't like to be prejudiced too. Let's be patient and see how it goes.
