For the first time since 1997, Indonesia will again hold MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit on March 18-20. Just counting the days!

Are you going to watch live or watching on TV bro?

~snip~
Of course I am happy that Mandalika officially became one of the hosts of the Moto GP world event. I can't wait for March 20th, I hope there will be no delay. The news is currently the committee is continuing to perfect the circuit's shortcomings after several trials from several teams were conducted. One of them is the asphalt repair that is too dirty. I hope it's done soon.
Of course maybe I will see on Television because the ticket price seems too expensive. Even though I'm in Indonesia, I'm quite a long distance from the race area and it takes a lot of money. Watching TV seems like it's going to be more fun.

But no big surprises in qualifying today, Ducatis very strong as well as Honda with Marc. Bagnaia was a little disappointing I would have expected more, from Aprilia I was surprised and fifth place is very strong, Yamaha in qualifying as I thought very disappointing, hopefully Yamaha will find something for the race, Suzuki could possibly surprise tomorrow, for Yamaha it will be very difficult over 10 km / h slower than the top on the straight, almost impossible to overtake, will be very difficult...

The arrival of Livio Suppo has a positive effect on the Suzuki team this season, I have predicted it from the start and I am sure that a lot of development will be carried out for the advancement of Suzuki motorcycle engines this season, of course it is a very good thing to be able to compete with other manufacturers.
Suzuki motorbikes have better handling compared to other motorbikes in the MotoGP grid and if Suzuki itself has had very good performance or top speed this season, then this will be very dangerous for all manufacturers, especially in terms of this season's world title race. because there are many races in this year for MotoGP.

Quote
After seeing the performance of the Suzuki engine ridden by Alex Rins in FP2 MotoGP Qatar and being the fastest, I think this year they will be in the front row for this weekend's Race.
In FP3 I saw that Alex Rins was still in front because no other racer has been able to overtake his time so far, and now it's heading to FP4 and after that there will be a combination of time for whoever enters the first and second Qualifications to take the grid tomorrow

Suzuki, like Yamaha, has an in-line engine and therefore has very similar good handling. But unlike Yamaha, Suzuki has apparently developed the engine better and found some performance in the inline engine technology.

A good 30 minutes until the first MotoGP Qualy this season, have the Ducatis held back yesterday or are they not as strong as assumed, will be exciting.
I don't doubt the quality of the Ducati, in qualifying which will start soon I focus on the declining performance of the Yamaha, they are usually very fast when racing at the Qatar circuit but this is different this year after I saw in FP3 what has happened, Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo stuck at position 11.

According to claims by @alexrins and @joanmir36official, the Top Speed GSX-RR 2022 can reach up to 355.2 km/h because the new engine + RHA (Ride Height Adjuster) has been used... Interesting to see Suzuki's performance throughout the 2022 season

And if I think there is also a point in that too, but I also look more towards the new manager for the Suzuki factory team which this year is managed by Livio Suppo who previously also had time at Honda so he has a lot of experience that he can use for the Suzuki team in the past. this season and considering that the Suzuki motorbike also has better potential on the track even though it uses almost the same engine configuration as Yamaha, namely Inline4.

Yamaha's statistics at the Losail Qatar circuit as a whole are very good and promising, but for this year I am a little doubtful because in the two free practices Yamaha has not shown a good performance at all and today was the third and fourth free practice and followed by Qualifications 1 and 2.
Is Yamaha able to show good performance ? We'll see, guys

Ducati is expected to be one of the main contenders for the championship in 2022. Although the Italian brand seems to have started 2022 strongly with its strong performance in tests, drivers noticed that the power output of the new engine was a bit aggressive. Ducati has decided to use the 2021 version engine instead of the updated unit before the 2022 Qatar GP. Let's see how this decision will affect the team at the start of the season.
Ducati does innovate a lot and modify their engines for the better, but this year Ducati has decided to use the 2021 version of the engine with the addition of a hybrid for their two factory riders, while for their satellite team this is not the case even though there are those who use a direct Gp22 engine such as used by Pramac Racing for this year.
However, for the top speed problem, I was really surprised by Suzuki in two Free Practices (FP1 & FP2) this time.

Since haas got rid of the main sponsor which was mazepins daddy, mazepin will be gone as well. Daddys money gone= him gone for sure. That means they are going to get a new driver. The biggest talk has been their backup driver Fittipaldi, which makes sense since he is their backup driver, but he has been in indycar and not that great there neither. That says they are not going to really get someone that would be awesome for them at all.

I am assuming that the best case they have right now would be to get Giovinazzi back, he was in F1 up until just last year, and he would be great for them, or Grossjean as well because he seems like he got better eventually after the fireball incident.

Ducati is very strong this year and they field a lot of riders but I think at this Qatar circuit Yamaha is always fast every year, in the last two races in Qatar Yamaha managed to win it even though the top speed statistics and lap record were broken by the Ducati riders. it is possible that this year Yamaha will also do the same considering their rider Fabio Quartararo is in very good form.
I think so too, but for now I hear news that Ducati has homologated three engine models for all their riders on the current MotoGP grid so this will also show a very significant difference this year so there will be new surprises too.

I'm really looking forward to the first Grand Prix this year, from what I've read Ducati has been working on the weaknesses in the handling, the engine was already very strong and the stability of the Desmosedici was very good. I think Ducati still had problems with tyre wear, but I don't know whether it was at the front or the rear. If they have corrected the weaknesses, there could be a Ducati world champion again after a long time.
Yes, maybe that's true because in the last year I also saw that Ducati very often had problems with faster tire wear so that in the lap laps towards the end it could always be used by other manufacturers so that Ducati rarely finished in front last year except for Bagnaia. who was able to maintain the rhythm of the race and tires even though he had several crashes.

Surprising results for Suzuki during the free practices of the MotoGP.

They are on the top, ahead of Marquez and probably no one was betting on this result.

Ducati is disappointing so far.

Life, Love and Laughter...
Max Verstappen has extended his contract with Red Bull until 2028.

Yeah, I don't know what to think about that. Presumably it means he thinks that this year's Red Bull car can challenge for the title, and is either the best or one of the best in the field. Otherwise I don't think he'd sign, I don't think money is his primary motivator, he just wants to win. But it's still kind of a gamble to make a long-term commitment right at the dawn of a new era, and before we've even had a chance to confirm for definite which cars are good.

And Red Bull prolly gave Verstappen an assurance that what happened to Webber, Vettel and Ricciardo won't happen to him.  Lolol.  'Please, no Mark Helmut mind games' was explicitly written in the contract.  Cheesy

But really he prolly feels he's in a perfect spot at Red Bull with the team, the bosses and of course...  The money.

After the Russian related things, Mazapin will probably be sacked

Source: https://www.formulapassion.it/motorsport/formula-1/f1-team/dalla-germania-mazepin-via-dalla-haas-ce-fittipaldi-606916.html

They are talking about Fittipaldi to replace him.

I don't care much about Mazepin but it sucks that it's going to be like this.  Haas will be in a tough spot too when they're main benefactor pulls out because of the Russia thing.  Why don't they just leave politics out of F1 or any sport.

If everyone looks at the data last year that was inscribed by the Ducati motorcycle at the Qatar circuit, Ducati should have deserved to be the champion in the year at the Qatar circuit at the time of the race, but all of them did not exist and the winner in the end was still Yamaha.
So for this year who will be the champion for the opening series in Qatar because considering the specs of last year's Ducati motorcycles with this year's are not much different so there is a possibility that the performance will be the same.

I am also the same as you from the five rookies I chose Bezzecchi because it seems that by riding a Ducati Desmosedici Bezzecchi will be able to compete optimally in the race for the Rookie of the Year title this season, last season Jorge Martin managed to become the Rookie of the Year because he rode a Ducati motorcycle.
Hopefully Bazzecchi can adapt as quickly as possible to the Ducati bike in order to do what Jorge Martin achieved in the previous season.
There are two rookies this year riding a Ducati with the same specs, one of them is Bezzecchi and the other is Fabio di giannantonio of the Gresini Racing team who also rides a Ducati this year, but I only have more faith in Bazzecchi for the rookie of the yaer title. in this season for motogp.
Bezzecchi and Fabio di giannantonio have the same chance of being Rookie of the Year because they use the same bike specs, for another rookie I think there is very little chance because the Ducati bike is currently in good form both the manufacturer and the satellite team.

Russia is once again kicked off the races list, just like they are kicked out of everything. Am I hearing Istanbul music again? They haven't been around for years, and then suddenly they got involved due to pandemic, and now they are getting another possibility due to a whole new war breaking out.

Turkey track must be owned by someone who is the luckiest person in the world, he keeps getting chances after chances. If he made some good money from the last 2, and if he gets accepted this time around as well, then for the fourth one he should be able to pay up directly as well. All based on super lucky situations for him while it is terrible for the whole world.

I would love to see Istanbul back in all honesty as that is a wonderful track,a lot of dramatic action has happened there before including a Redbull clash between drivers of this same team. Also we nearly saw Lance Stroll first win there a couple of years ago.Lot and I mean lot of beautiful things for us the fans have happened in this track.I don't know if he is lucky or not but I want that track to be back and for us all to enjoy even better action now in F1 2022 with all the new rules taking place.
