Red Bull need to confirm Albion.
They need to keep their tradition of young drivers built on their Accademy.

It's good to see young drivers coming through, but Albon has had a chance and hasn't really shown much. Perez is the better driver and should get the seat, particularly after the way he lost the last one.

Yes this is correct, 2 young driver has already the chance at RedBull as second driver between Verstappen. But no one are good enough to challenge him or bring enough points for the constructors championship. This year for RedBull are easy for the second place, but when Ferrari have a stronger engine the will also the second place.

today I saw the video message that Mclaren sent to Ferrari asking him to take care of Carlo Sainz. I have rarely seen such a beautiful and touching message, mechanics, engineers and even Lando Norris, speaking in Italian, wishing the best to their former driver. these are the things that bring the public closer to Formula 1

Tomorrow Red Bull will announce the driver next to Verstappen. Rumors that it will be Perez are getting bigger every day. Lets hope it for him.

I have nothing wrong with Perez but they need to keep their philosophy or they can trash their academy, I will very disappointed if they call Sergio.

He probably deserves it but meh.

Fingers crossed! Sergio Perez deserves the Red-Bull cockpit more than Albon or anyone else.

unfortunately I don't think it's that easy, Perez is definitely deserves  to drive Red Bull next year, but signing him would mean admitting that the Red Bull youth program works badly, given that both Albon and Kvjat came from the youth program and take them out of the formula 1 would be half failure.
Meanwhile Hamilton has not signed with Mercedes yet, you never know ...
Perez undoubtedly deserves the right to stay for next season, but if he is signed by red bull, verstappen's position as the number one driver will not be so firm. I am not sure that Perez will be content with the role of the number two driver in the team, at least the previous history of his performances suggests this. competition between pilots is undoubtedly useful for results, but in certain cases it can also interfere. Also, let's not forget that the co-owners of the team are from Thailand, as well as Albon.

It's now official. Yuki Tsunoda will drive next year in the F1 for AlphaTauri.

Now let's wait till the official statement of Red Bull about Perez. I have read a lot of that it will be an announcement today/tomorrow.

Tsunoda had great his first season in F2 and I think he deserved F1 seat. Though, I will miss Kvyat a bit. Maybe he he isn't super talented and he got outscored by Gasly this season totally, but I think he is good enough for mediacore team. But when drivers like Hulkenberg don't have seat in F1, it shows how difficult to stay there, unless your father is billionaire like Stroll or Mazepin. Interesting where he will go, I read that he can become reserve/test driver.
If Red Bull will sign Perez, we won't see Albon in F1 next season. His and Kvyat path in F1 looks very similar...

Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, the man who won everything with Todt and Schumacher's Ferrari.
Montezemolo said he was ready to take command of Ferrari again as president, but that to date no one has contacted him to find out if he was interested.

I think probably the return of designer Rory Byrne that was agreed earlier this year is potentially the most important move for Ferrari, which could set them up well for success in 2022 (as that's the car Byrne is working on). Luca Cordero di Montezemolo may have won everything with Schumacher's Ferrari, but Byrne designed Schumacher's cars and won everything with Schumacher at both Ferrari and Benetton... if you want a genius designer to build a title-winning car, there are few better options out there...

Quote
All seven of Schumacher’s title-winning cars were designed by Bryne. Out of which, two were won at Benetton in 1994 and 1995, and then five consecutive titles at Ferrari from 2000 to 2004.
Bryne was part of Ferrari ‘dream team’ with Jean Todt, Ross Brawn, and Michael Schumacher in the hot seat. After all the success, Bryne announced his retirement [...]
The restructuring will see the genius designer working with Enrico Cardile, primarily to work on the 2022 car. This is significant as the new F1 regulations kick in from that year. Ferrari would be hoping that Bryne works his magic yet again, and return them to the pinnacle of Formula One.

Ignore the misspelling in that quote, it's Byrne, not 'Bryne'!

today at the same time as the test day, sky sport interviewed Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, the man who won everything with Todt and Schumacher's Ferrari.
Montezemolo said he was ready to take command of Ferrari again as president, but that to date no one has contacted him to find out if he was interested.
Ferrari needs a strong president who understands racing. Montezemolo could be the right person, but it should be remembered that in the days of the triumphs with Schumacher, Ferrari spent tens of millions on private tests, while today it is forbidden.

Alonso did an impressive time.

Obviously he's a top driver, and he's not really competing against other top drivers there... but still, I'm really happy to see him back and doing well already. F1 needs more world-quality drivers, and he's an interesting character too, which the sport needs.
The 2021 season will I suspect be another Mercedes procession. But 2022, when we have a rules reset and a system designed for closer, more exciting racing, with more dependent on driver skill than on the car... that should be something to really look forward to.

We have left behind a very good season. Mercedes were the most dominant team as most people expected. They had an extra advantage with DAS system but their engine was the most powerful one comparing to other teams too. They won't be able to use DAS system next season but I don't think that it will affect Mercedes too much. But Red Bull and Aston Martin teams could get closer to Mercedes's performance and we could see more challenging and enjoyable races. Ferrari had a bad season. They said that they will have a more powerful engine next season but I don't think there will be much change.

This season was great. I recently saw somewhere some statistics about the podiums and this year there were a lot more different drivers on the podium then previous years. The 'new' races we had were also quite entertaining.

Let's hope Red Bull closes the gap next year and we get a more exiciting championship. Let's see what happens if Verstappen wins the first race next season.  Grin

It will be difficult for Red Bull and Verstappen.Mercedes is still the dominant force in F1 and if Honda does not bring a huge improvement to their engine for their last year in F1 in 2021 probably Red Bull will have the same performance like this year and will continue to be only the second force and maybe third because McLaren will be with a Mercedes engine and maybe they will be even stronger than this year.

Also interesting for next year, how are the performance from the Ferrari engine? Can Ferrari catch up with Honda and Renault? Mercedes will probably still be out of reach next year.

To Red Bull and his drivers, according to the rumors, Perez will be sitting in the RedBull next year instead of Albon.

Perez next to Verstappen would be great. I think Verstappen could use a better teammate to become even better. This year he outqualified Albon every time.

I don’t know why we’re discussing about Ferrari’s engine, when their team management has already clarified that there won’t be any major upgrade before 2022. Furthermore like Red Bull I don’t expect Ferrari to challenge for the title next year, but from 2022 I believe that we shall see Ferrari back in title race.

Ferrari already work and test a New engine for next year, and it looks good but i don't think this engine can beat the Mercedes engine.

But it's also good for the other Teams with Ferrari engine, the also have no really Chance to beat a other team than Williams.

The amount of money put into these things are insane, mercedes spends like 400 million dollars per year, that is not really something you can just let it be, even tires worth tens of thousands of dollars and they change it like its candy. So, the topic is not about which team focuses on next years car better or worse, it is about which team will spend more money.

Let's take this example, if mercedes had time to start working on next car, and not really work on this one, that means they had to pick one, so did redbull as well.

What about having a team that works on this car AND a team that works on next years car? Give another few hundred million dollars and you can multi task both cars at the same time. Obviously it is insane amount of money, it is really not even realistic how much they are spending, I say it is crazy and not worth it honestly, but they do, so it is all about which team can afford to spend the most.
