Lolol.  Leclerc master plan.  He guaranteed his pole position by crashing into the barrier, stopping the Q3.  Cheesy  Verstappen looked like he was going to have a fast lap too.  Damn.  Verstappen finally went ahead the two Merc only to battle two Ferraris.

Edit:  Verstappen had the fastest time in the first sector before Leclerc’s crash.
I think there is no chance that he did it on purpose. It would be just stupid. He seriously dmaged his car and if gearbox change will be needed, he will receive grid penalty. We all know what it means in Monaco.
Tomorrow I expect one of the most interesting race in Monaco in recent years. It will be interesting waht Hamilton is able to do starting just 7th in track where overtaking is almost impossible.
The surprise with Lewis Hamilton, who was uncomfortable in his Mercedes, where he finished seventh, in the same line with Sebastian Vettel.
and for Ferrari its the first pole position since 2019.
i guess tomorrow we will see for the first time this season Hamilton not taking the Podium.
Vertsappen will be the my favorite to win Monaco.
But at the end its Monaco and in Monaco shit happens.

I do not think that the accident occurred as a result of the insidious plan of Ferrari and personally Leclerc himself and is just a coincidence, but this result is most beneficial for Verstappen, who could hardly contain a happy smile after the end of qualifying and the Red Bull team itself was so excited, as if Red Bull itself won qualifying. Mercedes will again have to come up with the wonders of tactics on the track with the most difficult overtaking without much hope of a favorable result, because if Verstappen can get ahead of Leclerc at the start, then you can organize a great gap in the empty space in front, when Hamilton will have to break ahead on the narrow Monaco track, which is very, very problematic. In general, thanks to Leclerc, the intrigue in the fight for the championship spun even more strongly.

Yes, you are right. Verstappen wasn't going to make it to the pole position most probably. I'm happy to see that Leclerc has got it. But I hope also that he doesn't have problems with his gearbox again. As you remember, he had the problem in the first practice session and was able to complete only 4 laps.

He will probably have no problems Ferrari said "we will think this night if we need to change the gearbox".
I think but I'm not sure if they change it he should have no penalities since we are still at the start of the season and they have the "free changes".

What a qualifying it was, man! Both of the Ferrari drivers were having a wonderful week before the qualifying. It was like a signal to the qualifying sessions. And Leclerc has taken the pole position. If he didn't crash into the barrier, maybe Verstappen would have taken the pole position also. I watched a video clip that showed how angry Verstappen was after having heard of Leclerc's crash. There is a really interesting race waiting for us. I can't wait to watch it!

This shows the timers they were doing.
Keep in mind Redbull in the second and third sectors were slower than Ferrari.

Sainz and Bottas were closer than Verstappen.

I do not think that he would hit knowingly Cheesy He was also doing very well too I mean at the very worst he would be top three for sure, most probably only person that can beat him could be Max and nobody else. The great thing about this one is that Hamilton is at 7th and we all know how much of a great racer he is so I am sure he will finish above 7th somehow even on Monaco and his car is much much better than anyone else so he will probably finish top 3 once again even though we talked about how Monaco is a very hard place to pass someone.

However I feel like in a track like Monaco unless some major deal happens, Hamilton most probably will not win this race, just from the results of the qualifiers I can say that 90%+ chance Hamilton doesn't win this race, and there is a 50% chance he may not even finish at the top three this time as well. That is a relief, I was bored of him constantly winning and Monaco is rarely a good race to watch so this will probably be more entertaining now.

Yeah but was the sector where Redbull was faster, it was close.
Also, Sainz was very fast too he could overtake the Leclerc time too.

Anyway told you, Ferrari is supercompetitive with high traction tracks, sadly there are not a lot of them in the calendar.

Read the news about Ducati. The Ducati boss hopes to be able to field 8 motorbikes in the 2022 season. With 5 factory bikes and 3 stelit teams. This may be a good sign for the VR46 which is ready to appear next season, because until now there has been no official news that the VR46 will use which motorbike from which manufacturer. The Ducati boss also explained that the news that the VR46 was officially collaborating with ducati was false news. Everything is still in process.

If Leclerc can come out from the first corner first then it is going to not be a difficult race to win for him if the race happen under normal conditions and Ferrari mechanics do not screw up during the pit stops.I wonder why Mercedes and Hamilton is so behind in the grid at 7th place, probably because the engine power is not needed that much during this track as the top speed is real slow compared to every other track.By the lineups for tomorrow looks like it is going to be a good race to watch on Tv as is the case most of the time for a Monaco F1 race.

Leclerc on the steps Mike Michael Schumacher at 2006 also with Ferrari 😂😂. Nevertheless, Ferrari is doing easier in Monaco with the shorter wheelbase than Mercedes with the longer one, it also looks like Alfo Romeo could score the first World Championship points tomorrow.

FP3 done. Can Ferrari really fight for the pole position?

I think not but I will be very happy if they can.

It would be very nice if 3 teams could fight for pole position today, but in reality it will be again that only RedBull and Mercedes can fight for pole position. As a fan from Kimi, I noticed that Kimi is very good again in Monaco, it's not just the car that matters in Monaco, so I'm looking forward to Alonso?

Side note.
Schumacher destroyed his car at the end, the session has been red-flagged and it's unlike he can race for the qualify.
They need to do a miracle to repair his car in time.

About the qualifications, keep in mind teams and drivers seem to be sandbagging quite a lot this season, so free practice times are not necessarily representative.

some very interesting banter being exchanged between Hamilton and Verstappen, and it all started when Hamilton said that Verstappen has lot to prove, and he had avoided the contact with Verstappen car on the track.

My takeaway from this was that Hamilton is genuinely worried about Verstappen this season, and sees him as a real threat for the championship. It's rare that Hamilton initiates mind games and tries to unsettle an opponent, he normally just relies on his own ability. If I were Verstappen, I'd take Hamilton's comments as a compliment, and as a form of encouragement. If he's got Hamilton rattled already, only a few races in, then this could be an interesting season.

And just read this online, Leclerc never finished a race in Monaco.  Just something to know.  Lol.  Sainz podium finish?  Grin

Did you read Verstapenn this the wall every year? Because I think it's true.
In race or practices, he always hit and destroyed a car.

Its an unpredictable track, its pure gamble.

@coinlocket$ some very interesting banter being exchanged between Hamilton and Verstappen, and it all started when Hamilton said that Verstappen has lot to prove, and he had avoided the contact with Verstappen car on the track.

However this didn’t go down nicely with Verstappen who fired back saying that he has nothing to prove, and the contact on the track works both ways, so do you’ll feel that these banter will have an effect on the upcoming races results.

By the looks of it Lerclerc was doing awesome at practice that is for sure, he wanted to be as high as possible and I think did quite alright as well. However let's remember all the previous grand prix we have seen and practice means nothing when it comes down to qualifiers and even more when it comes down to race itself. We all know monaco will barely have any overtaking, sure maybe at the very end there could be for bottom racers, some pay get seconds penalty, some may crash, and that is something I can understand but that's just about it, the top 5 or even top 10 would probably not change too much from qualifiers.

Practice shows that it is not going to be just mercedes vs red bull, ferrari will be there as well but I doubt that it will be first, I think it may not be that good. Let's see what happens but I believe it will still be hamilton and max at one and two.
