I think McLaren took the right decision to withdraw from the race in Melbourne as safety should always come first.I am a fan of them and I hope this is the only race they will retire.On the other side it is good that the race will take place as since we are isolated at home we need a lot of Tv entertainment and F1 is a major one.

It seems also the next GP of MotoGp will be delayed, is too soon to have an official statment but this is the direction.

A lot of racing events are being postponed but so far I haven’t heard a postpone notice for the F1 race in Australia this weekend.I was browsing Instagram and saw a lot of teams being prepared for this weekend which is the first race of 2020.I hope it rolls out as planned and I hope it is not cancelled because of Corona virus.
Yup same. But safety should always come first. I mean if they gotta postpone or maybe even cancel some races then so be it. Pretty sure opening races at and near Asia would be cancelled.

@coinlocket$ as per the available news online the race is yet scheduled to take place despite the positive result of the Mclaren staff member, and it’s worth mentioning that the drivers are not at all happy with this decision. Furthermore Vettel has given a statement where he says that if more people got infected then the drivers would try and get the race canceled, and even Hamilton has slammed the organisers for not cancelling this race. While I understand that the organisers would loose lots of money if this race gets canceled, but is money more important than spectators and drivers life in my personal opinion it’s not and they should cancel this race asap?.

Hey, folks, new F1 season finally starts this weekend. In case if somebody want to make watching races more interesting, I made prediction pool for Bitcointalk members on Superbru. Nice idea. And if it attracts more and more regs itt maybe we could start a real pool with real prizes on the line and make it even more fun.
It doesn't have to be a huge amount. I wouldn't mind dropping 5 - 10 bucks.

Finally, the F1 championship is starting.
I don't think that Rebdull or Ferrari is going to compete Mercedes again. Hamilton seems ready to get another title and go on the top of the Hall of Fame in F1 History.

@LTU_btc finally F1 is back and there’s also good news for the fans that races are not going to be held behind closed doors, and it’s also pertinent to note that F1 has deployed numerous security measures for the fans to keep them safe. Further I’ll try and join in your Superbru pool in coming days, since it’s free I’m sure many people will participate in it.

I think it is not a correct decision from Qatar.You either stop every category or otherwise allow every category.What is the point for Moto3 and Moto2 to race and to forbid the premier class.We know about the spread of corona virus but Qatar has enough resources to contain suspicious passengers.
I agree, this decision just doesn't makes sense. If they are so afraid about virus, they should cancel all categories.I read news that Thailand GP will be delayed, or it can be even cancelled. It's sad to see such news. I think there is too much panic about Coronavirus. Because it's not much more dangerous than typical flu.

Mercedes' engine got problems on Mercedes and Williams, they got no problems on the pink Mercedes aka Racing point.
They were talking about problems caused by the new philosophy of the cars present on Mercedes and Williams, the philosophy to have a very snell car on the back with low circulation of air and bad cooling.
The pink Mercedes uses the 2019 line and got 0 problems.

I believe that the 6 engines had problems because Mercedes was trying to test something extreme.
Last year they didn't have any real problem with engines and it will be so weird to see this happening in the following season...
Test the coming season's party mode..?
And it's really not expected for the drivers to push hard before the start of season. Consistency and getting more laps in are more important imo.

@coinlocket$ thanks for proving an update out here, and it’s really sad to see that races are getting cancelled because of Coronavirus. Further I have a question if more races keep getting cancelled how will they complete the season, and do they have any backup days to reschedule these races?.
