who will win the Motogp 2018 World Championship?

Marquez  @1.70
Dovizioso @7.50
Vinales     @8.50
V. Rossi   @10.00
Lorenzo   @11.00
Pedrosa   @13.00
Zarco        @15.00
Crutchlow @40.00

Marquez is obviously the big favorite.
Interesting the quote of Vinales [email protected]!
If Yamaha is competitive on all tracks he can fight for the victory of the world championship!

Well its a good thing they starting next week, there are some easy h2h predictions to make wins there, of course considering no safety car or any car break down. Looking forward to it, will add tips from F1 to my premium tips thread. Good decision to open a discussion and predictions thread. I think first race Mercedes is the favorite but we will see.
If Hamilton wins pole position in qualifying then he will win the race. Of course if there are no technical problems.

@BitcoinSupremo. ?

I thought that they are again having problems with their car again, and according to Eric Boullier, they risked having those reliability problems again because their design this year is more ambitious and more aggressive.

They were one of the teams that had low mileage in preseason testing.

Yes they had reliability problems but in the end , in the final day Alonso managed 83 laps although stopped in the pit by a turbo problem for 5 hours but ended the last day of testing second fastest on the timetable. Eric Boullier is always thinking in negative (I don't blame him, 3 miserable years with Honda) but these are good signs we may see a very competitive McLaren this year, at least I hope so.

McLaren testing was good at least that what is felt in the McLaren paddock. They arrived at the conclusion that this year fastest lap of testing compared to the fastest of one year before, is now 3.5 seconds faster. This was backed by an additional statement from Alonso that there is much more to be squeezed out of the car. I hope to see McLaren making some noise this year fighting in the top positions.

But last year's testing showed the same results. We thought last year was going to be Sebastian's first driver's championship with Ferrari when the 2017 season began right? I reckon it will still be the same this year.

Ferrari is like an ICO for the last 5 or more years. All hype, followed by a pump then crashing back to the ground in the end hehehe.

last year Vettel could win it!
but at the end of the season too many errors and poor reliability have affected too much the final result.
I hope that this year there is balance and I hope that Red Bull can fight for the victory.

@cicciobtc. This might happen the same as last year. The media hyped Ferrari to the heavens last year by saying that 2017 could be the year for Sebastian.

It was only hype to keep us watching and it turned out to be really that after the race in Baku.

I am more excited about McClaren's development and Toro Rosso. One team got rid of the Honda engines, while the other implemented it. Let's see how they both do on the grid.

Ferrari must always try to win even if in recent years it is disappointing. We'll see if 2018 will be the right year.
The first tests are encouraging, in fact today Raikkonen has also done a great time almost the same as Vettel.
Also I am curious to see the evolution of Toro Rosso and Mclaren even if they are having some reliability problems in these tests.

excellent tests for Vettel today in Barcelona.
He did 188 laps! It also improved the track record significantly with a time of 1.17.182!
Ferrari seems already in great shape and wants to finally win the world championship after many years.

Marc Marquez officially renewed for another 2 years with Honda!
Valentino Rossi has also declared he wants to run another 2 years with Yamaha.
Among the top riders, Lorenzo will have to prove his worth if he wants to renew his contract with Ducati,he last year was really disappointing.

Also, after having the worst experience with Honda last season, I reckon the switch is a positive move no matter what McLaren's results are this year.

This could be probably the best option for them and maybe it could bring them far more better result then with honda. I was expecting so much from honda but seem like they will never have old glory like they had in McLaren golden era.

@BitcoinSupremo. How can you not trust the Renault engines? It is the same manufacturer that gave Redbull 4 driver and constructor championships.

Finally we are seeing a good Mclaren at least that is the feeling until now for both drivers saying this car feels much better than the one of last year. I do not trust a lot the Renault engine but let'see, next week starting frim this upcoming Monday we will see real data and real limit pushing of all the new F1 cars.

@cicciobtc. But in that one season before Esteban Ocon was given the Force India seat, Pascal Wehrlein was clearly the better driver. He did better in qualifying and during race day, I reckon.

Also, there was a rumor that Pascal had a bad attitude during his test drive in Force India and was therefore not accepted.

I speculate that he will still be in the list when Mercedes starts choosing their 2nd driver after Valteri's departure on 2019.

@cicciobtc. On both the Mercedes young drivers, who would you consider is better, Pascal Wehrlein or Eseteban Ocon? Also who would you want to replace Valteri at the end of the 2018 season?

A good story for 2019 would be Max, Leclerc and Pascal reach driving for the top 3 teams hehe.

I also reckon Pascal's bad luck started when he was overlooked by Force India on 2016, when it was clear that he was the better driver than Ocon.

Esteban Ocon has done a great season last year and seems to have great potential.
He is also the pupil of Toto Wolff, so he seems destined to replace Valteri Bottas in Mercedes.

^  I was gonna post some pics of each car as soon as they were unveiled...  Got lazy.  Lol.

Anyway I'm pretty excited on what Charles Leclerc can do on the track.  I don't follow GP3 or F2 but heard that he's good.  And he's only 20 years old...

yes Leclerc is a great talent and his future will be in Ferrari and will replace Raikkonen.
This year he will have some experience with the Sauber-Alfa Romeo and next year I am convinced that he will drive 1 Ferrari
