Qualifying is on in 5 mins guys.  Wtf is everyone?  Lol.  Cheesy

If there's a time Hamilton should get one win vs Vettel after losing at Silver Stone, this is the perfect race to do it.  Grin  There's nothing like seeing someone beating an opponent in the latter's home race.

Unfortunately chances are very slim for him to do it unless we see a safety car in the first few laps. He broke the car yesterday in qualifying and it will start if I am not mistaken in 14th place today. Nevertheless will be a great race to watch and Hockenheim is unpredictable so it will be an emotionful race.

That was such an exciting race. A real shame about Leclerc though  Sad
Indeed, probably best race in this season so far. Hamilton had terrible start, later Kimi hitted him. Then Lewis didn't had problems to overtake slower oppinents, also Ericsson accident and safety car on track helped him a lot. And on last laps we saw close fight between Mercedes and Ferarri drivers and retirement of Verstappen. Vettel extended his championship leader position up to 8 points. Hamilton was very disappointed after finnish.
And we often see Kimi on podium this season, but I can't remember when he won last time Cheesy

Yes, it was a very good drive by Lewis Hamilton but his comment after the race was very unprofessional. He said that Ferrari's strategy was interesting like he was implying that Kimi Raikonnen hit his car intentionally.

Also, I reckon Lewis should not act high and morally superior on everyone because he too had made some mistakes in his career.

Although I am a fan of McLaren and don't enjoy much the races since 3 or more years now, yesterday was a wonderful race to watch with a lot of action going on in different points of the track. Final stage was beautiful and I think the Mercs did the right strategy in the end of the race to limit damages.

^  Meh...  Verstappen DNF.  And I was getting more and more confident that I would win one of our side bets.  Lol.

Anyway, Merc is still not out of it.  But I wouldn't complain seeing some other team and driver winning both championships.  And I think Vettel deserves to win it imo.

Someone from the cryptocommunity should warn Fernando Alonso, I reckon. His popularity and maybe also his trademark is being abused for the advantage of the Kodakcoin scam hehe.

https://www.coindesk.com/f1-champ-alonso-adopts-kodakcoin-platform-image-protection/

It is really crazy how far scammers will go into promoting their scams. Twitter is getting it's feed filled with fake accounts whose owners are pumping scammy links announcing so called "BTC giveaways", or in an altcoin of choice. Im pretty sure some of these links may contain malware. Just go to any famous crypto person in twitter and in the replies section 9 out of 10 times you will see fake accounts trying to confuse noobs into clicking. Now faking being Alonso to promote a coin is a next level fraudulent.

Edit: Oh wow, so it seems that they convinced Alonso be part of this? Might be similar to other celebrities being persuaded into scams like when Floyd Mayweather ended up in the Centra ICO thing and he had problems with the IRS later. I hope they stay safe, but these people will be ok even if they make mistakes, they have enough money to cover any problems with the law.

Both Mercedes retired due technical issue. But I think they failed before - I can't understand why they didn't pitted Hamilton during virtual safety car, very strange decision. Later Vettel easily overtake him. Vettel is championship leader again. Verstappen won the race and this is 3rd podium in a row for Max. Historic weekend for Haas - P4 and P5. And this was first points of Grosjean this season. And great performance - started from pit lane, finnished 8th.
Next GP already in upcoming weekend at Silverstone.

Wow...  Congrats to Vertstappen.  I don't know what happened as I'm not watching the race, but I'm looking at the F1 app just now and he's leading the race with just the final lap to go.

It looks like he could finish above Ricciardo if he keeps it up.

And wtf.  Hamilton and Bottas out...?  Lmao!  Cheesy  I gotta watch the replay asap.

@LTU_btc. Then Lewis will be 1st after 20 laps under team orders and win the race because he will not sign the new Mercedes contract if he does not win the driver's championship hehehe.

@tokeweed. This thread is like an old altcoin scam. It is dying.

You know F1 is getting boring if it's a race weekend and nobody bothered to update the thread.  Lmao.  Cheesy
I was following World Cup action and forgot that we will have F1 this weekend. And it really sucks that race will be at the same time as Russia - Spain match.
Bottas will start from pole, Lewis 2nd, Kimi 3rd. Vettel qualified in 3rd place, but he got penalty and will start race from 6th place. I'm a bit disappointed about Red Bull results in qualification at their home track.

^  If Verstappen keeps it up and runs good then I think I could still win the 'Verstappen finishing with more points vs Ricciardo' bet and cancel out the loss on the 'RBR finishing with more points Ferrari' bet.  Wink

You were right with waiting for the end of the season.  I would have paid you 20 bucks two weeks ago.  Lol.

Well, Hamilton dominated today and deserved to win. Now he is championship leader again. After collision with Bottas and 5 second penalty 5th place isn't a bad result for Vettel I think. Good weekend for Kimi - he finnished 3rd after he easily overtake Ricciardo who had issues with his car. Good to see Verstappen showing great and stable results in recent races - haters of him don't have much what to say Cheesy
Alonso demonstrated that he is the best pilot when he won LeMans recently, he just needs to win Indy 500 and since he has already won Monaco (or alternatively, a World Champion of Formula One) he will get the triple crown. I hope he gets the opportunity to have a competitive car for another shoot next year, he deserves a better car already.
I'm happy that he won, but to be honest, it wasn't most difficult race to win. There was only two Toyota cars fighting for the win. Toyota factory team had huge advantage against all other cars and it wasn't most interesting race to watch.
Alonso already tried Indy 500 last year, but retired due to car problems. I believe that we will see him in this race next year again.

I wonder why Hamilton has said that he preferred to race in the old magny cours track where in fact this track, Paul Richard is more suited to Mercedes cars. It has more straights compared to magny cours so Mercedes should have the advantage here. Anyway this is just in theory and in practice we have to watch the race right after England vs Panama game ends. I am so sorry for my favorite Mclaren that are going from bad to worse, year after year.

^  How was qualifying (I didn't watch)?  I see a Merc one and two and a somewhat dominant form during practice...  I think this could be the race that could start Merc's dominance once again.  And nobody cares anymore.  Lol.

But it would be fun watching Vettel defend vs Verstappen.  Grin
