Yes, I would have been most happy if the coin market was restored by launching a phrase. Because in the critical period of the coin market, a lot of money is lost which is unimaginable. Therefore, I always expect the market to return to its youth again, by any means or reason. Gone are those days where some well known person will talk about a coin or even advice people to hold and the price will shot for the sky, this things to work anymore in crypto space today, the last time I witnessed such was in 2018
Indeed. It was already two years ago since I have last heard about some well-known individuals talking about supporting a certain coin and taking advice to put up on holding into such coin for good for it will get into trend and increase its price as well as popularity in a specified span of time. Those were the old stories now because mostly, such statements including price predictions from well-known individuals are not really happening for the reason that there is no certain individual that can gradually predict the behavior of the crypto market. Nowadays, if you want to be able to know more about certain coins, and you want to identify potential cryptocurrency, you have to exert your effort on seeking and researching about it to be able to get the information you needed added by the tough belief and own instinct based on your own judgement if such coin is worthy or not. People are already learning to do tasks on their own and to not primarily depend or base into some well-known individuals because we all do have different perspective about certain coins. It is your choice to believe into those mouth works or do it on your own way discovering the information you needed.
Mouth work only works if that cryptocurrency is true to what it meant to be. You can't put something in the high pedal when it has nothing to offer. See, there are cases of why some cryptocurrency only hype up thanks to mouth work for a few hours before back to square one.
Times are hard and people are wiser than when we were in the bull run, hire a celebrity to shill your project, the community will just go on to dump on you because they know war is looming.
Basically here ,I think that what is important thing is the token utility and not mouth only. The situation is to have a great quality token that will support and solve humanity lives. Because life is important first than any other thing.
These times mouth doesn't really work like it use to be. One major reason is that majority of the supposed leaders have messed up and mislead people for their own personal pocket. People are more cautious and vigilant now. It's hard to mislead people now as a lead because no one will follow.

Now people are seriously careful and more watchful before picking any project not before we are moved by mere talks and TA, I o be frank I am my own TA and all that, I do my research without minding anyone's mouth and it's working for me.
It’s like a normal thing. Why do you think that companies pay influencers and celebrities money to talk about their products and promote it? It’s because they know that people are going to invest in those projects when an influencer they like recommends it. There’s no difference between that and what you have just said about cryptocurrency influencers.
There are some big guys in the cryptocurrency community that can influence the market in a big way by just saying something about it on Twitter , and once they do, you will see lots of people that are buying that coin and when they say a coin will crash a lot of people that believes them will start selling. But sometimes it’s best not to listen to these people and do what you think is right.

this is still effective. it is still working in the Forex market where the president of china or the U.S.A makes a bold statement about finance and watch how it plays in the Forex market. same is applicable in the crypto world. when people like elon mosk and Justin sun make mouth on some crypto projects, the market always changes.
But of course, the OP is talking about hype in the cryptocurrency industry. Without mincing words, I think the OP is correct. We don't get to see hype in Forex Trading. At least, not the way we have it in the crypto space. Genuine news or speculations are what move and drive Forex Trading. Up till now it does and will continue to do so but it's not like it does before. People are now aware of how things are done and more skeptical for things from an untrusted source or else you get dumped on.
I will not outrightly say people are aware of how crypto currency works, if we revise or revisit the events of corona coin projects that exitscammed, we would realize that we still have newbies who want to get rich quick by trading crypto currency.

Nope, not really. Take a look at all the spam I get in my email telling me I can feature my project in 8 podcasts for 2 minutes each, for only 28K USD. That is so crazy, so people are willing to pay 3.5k per 2 minutes slot on a podcast, and all those podcasts are supposed to be non-shills but come on. Who doesn't want thousands of dollars for a few minutes of their time?

I think you have illustrated clearly and accurately how influences can push up the value of a token.
And a recent example that comes to mind, is binances role in the rise of wrx, that was followed with indians cleared to participate in crypto currency and more account users for binance, swiftly and easily.
using popular people to get an altcoin price increase is indeed good, sometimes also the rise of altcoin only lasts a few moments.
I think crypto enthusiasts including investors have learned a lot that influencers do not provide guarantees that the projects they promote will be successful. I also prefer a team consisting of experienced people in their field and the crypto world with several successful projects that have been handled. Most paid promoters only seek personal gain, sometimes not really knowing what is being promoted. We have to really be able to adapt to this.

But in crypto currency as long as you build trust amongst your community. and you can make basic hypes.
then your project is going places.
