This western Tombstone has always been one of my favorites. Its a story of wyatt Earp, his brothers and doc Holliday. Just one of the best in my opinion.

I hate westerns and I still thought tombstone was pretty good. How about old school gangster movies: Boyz in the Hood, and Menace 2 Society

imo, hollywood productions usually come out with material for the lowest common denominator.. since it's what gets people the most money. i like the more independent films that get to be more creative.

another movie i like is "jeff who lives at home."

I really liked that, but I thought it'd've been more poignant / better if Jeff died at the end.

well aren't you a sweetheart.

Haha. It would though. Felt a little bit unbelievable that he didn't. I wonder if there's an alt ending where he does?

Moneyball was also good, "side effects" was ok, "Rush" was really good (i may have already said that).

"End of Watch" is a really good movie. Most of Oliver Stone movies are good too...

i felt cloud atlas didn't connect the stories very well.. but i did like futuristic south korea.

Mixed reviews throughout this thread on Cloud Atlas...I still haven't seen it yet..haven't had enough time to set aside

yeah, it's not THAT great. i feel ambivalent about it myself. i liked it but didn't like it at the same time. if you like movies about reincarnation, though, maybe consider watching "the fountain" with hugh jackman.

I pretty much like any movie that is completely different from any others already made...

It's rare that you'll get a truly original film nowadays though. I also recommend The Fountain.

Has anyone watched "big bad wolves?" It got pretty good reviews. Subtitles, but I'm down to watch it if it's good.

I just got done watching Divergent and if your patient the film is pretty good as the story builds.  Not a classic IMO but it's worth watching and recommending IMO.

I wanted to see that, but it seemed like more of a "wait till download or dvd" type movie

yeah the premise is whatever.. these dystopian futuristic movies just don't jive with me... even though i want them to. they just ignore too much logic imo. i saw elysium and it was kind of stupid.

Elysium was ok. I usually like dystopian films. Watched Total Recall last night. Bit dated and cheesy in places but I'm going to watch the remake later today and see how that compares.

i think the story was stupid.. not fresh in any way and ignored lots of logic. special effects were great. i liked district 9 though.

I just finished watching Frozen. Its good movie for animated movies fans.

Everybody seems to love Frozen but it looks a bit girly lol.

I haven't seen it but I feel the same. I'll watch it sometime but I've just got little desire to any time soon, especially since I just don't like musicals.
