Hey just let you guys know that you can no longer mine murraycoin via miningpool.co, got some miners yesterday and went to put them online and murraycoin is gone

if you look at the dashboard page it has this message ,it's not just murraycoin missing at the moment

Important Notice Several days ago we suffered a failed hard drive on ca1.miningpool.co - this was causing issues with processing data from all pools as many of you may have noticed. Therefore until further notice all pools that were hosted on ca1.miningpool.co will remain halted / offline. We hope to have a solution for this problem shortly. Apologies to those of you whose miners were disrupted by this issue.

I will be attending a Chive On California meetup next week to promote MRY. In case you were unaware, Bill Murray is basically the unofficial mascot of TheChive.com and they have a pretty active community of "chivers" and "chivettes."
If you want to support my efforts and can spare a little BTC, tips are highly appreciated. Smiley  (see my profile page)

Amazing! Great to hear! Been mining on Fusionhash for a very long time, they seem trustworthy to host the site. As long as you have a back up and control the domain, the worse case scenario isn't that bad.

@syncsam as you suspected, you can only withdraw coins you get from confirmed blocks. I'm not sure though if the amount of confirms is a pool setting or if the coin code determines this.

Good to hear Bholzer

I got a question about fusion hash, someone might be able to help me with.  whats the difference between a confirmed transaction and unconfirmed and how long does it take to become confirmed?  I take it you can only withdrawal confirmed transactions

just noticed it says 119 or less confirmations left on each block, so I take it once it gets to zero they will be confirmed

Hey just let you guys know that you can no longer mine murraycoin via miningpool.co, got some miners yesterday and went to put them online and murraycoin is gone

worked out there is something weird going on at mining pool.co, they closing down litecoin mining and a few other ones as well

Pulled it off the list until further notice.

FYI, the murraycoin.org website is currently down due to issues with our web host (1and1) - enough is enough! It's been down for nearly 12 hours now. We will be switching over to FusionHash's coin hosting for the new website releasing later this week. FusionHash has offered to host Murraycoin free-of-charge.

The new Murraycoin client, including a hard-fork at block 130k, should be released within the next 12 hours. We completed all testing yesterday and are simply putting the finishing touches on the QT wallets. LAZR is back on the Murraycoin team for 20 hours/week and will begin firing up some grass roots marketing while I shift my focus over to building our partnerships. There are some wildcards in the mix we are pretty excited about and I believe the Murray-era is about to begin.

I apologize for (once again) being behind schedule - I am experimenting with a couple of additional options on the testnet before locking in the final changes. A hard-fork isn't something we want to do very often so I want to cram in as many fork-dependent changes as possible in the long-term best interest of Murraycoin and the Murraycoin community. The testing process and trial-and-error that come with some of the new experimentation is slightly more time-consuming than I estimated. If you're still with me after this long (hard to believe Murraycoin launched 5 months ago!) another few days of waiting shouldn't prove too difficult.

The good news is that after this release, I do have a new project right around the corner that will involve Murraycoin. When everything is ready for release, I will post it here along with the previously promised brief update/overview. Thank you again for your patience.

Onward and upward.

The new Murraycoin 0.9.2 client has been completed - however, it is configured for a hard-fork at block #125,000 (< 9000 blocks away, approximately 10.5 days from now) which we will need to bump back slightly to ensure we allow adequate time for adoption. Hard-fork details, Windows/Mac QT Wallets, and source will be released within 48 hours along with a brief overview of both short-term and long-term plans/goals. Additional dedicated seed servers will be hosted across 4 different countries prior to the release to help ensure a smooth transition at the fork.

Sounds awesome. Thanks for the quick update!

Good stuff! Forks are tricky, but I have a feeling everybody will be on the same page in time.
