Sorry 1 more point

Do Limited printing say give the Murray Bro Foundation 400 paper wallets at  $1 each (Currently 300 Murraycoin), with limited printing. When value of Murraycoins goes up, they will sell out pretty fast on foundations website and other charity websites , which will get the charities more invested (green sparks interest).

When they sold out print out the next batch say 400 at $1 (say  250 Murraycoin)

Batch 3 400 at $1 (200 Murraycoin)

also Murray Bros Foundation will probably get more involved once money starts rolling in, currently the donations are nice but probably don't mean much to them due to current value being so low, and they probably don't have the vision that you do

Hey Guys n Girls,
Just wanted to add my 2c to grow murraycoin.  This is an add on to something someone suggested earlier

Step 1 Take some of the donations (with the agreement of murray bros of course, probably only a portion say ~5%) and print out well designed paper wallets (explaining what crypto is and murray bros and links to the websites) and hand them out giving people 1 murray coin, it either gives ppl a small investment (something to hold onto, which opens murraycoin up to the general public) or something to donate back to the murray Bros foundation (If they donate back means they have been to the website and are now educated what murraycoin stands for. Their will be some thrown away, but its a small cost to grow the coin.

Step 2 Sell them on murray bro foundation website for current value (Say initially paper wallets of 300 murraycoins for $1) .  Which gives murray Bros foundation income, gives the person buying it either an investment or something to donate back to the murray foundation.  Either option they will probably tell their friends, word of mouth is good

Step 3 open this up to other charities, and start selling paper wallets on there websites, driving up demand for murraycoins and value which increases the value of the rest of the donated funds

A side note
1 You need an easy code on the paper wallet to make it easy for them to donate the funds back to the donation funds, maybe a code on each paper wallet (that way they don't have to go and download digital wallets on their computer and all that or enter the private key, got to remember to keep it simple otherwise I think that would put it in the 2 hard can't be f'd category)

anyways hope this sparks some ideas

I really like the idea of trying to get the word out about Murraycoin to the the folks over at TheChive. They are very big on charity work, and they are also crazy about Bill. I wonder how much it would cost us to get a Murraycoin add on their site for a week or two, and whether anyone here would be willing to chip in for it if the price isn't crazy high. We might even be able to get a deal on it if we contact the owners to see if they'd like to help out our efforts to support the Murray Bros. Foundation. Hell it wouldn't be too hard to throw a Chive add in the wallet, if they were willing to help promote us in an ongoing campaign. Bholzer, have you thought of getting a hold of them? I'd rather have you making contact first before the community gives an attempt at anything marketing related.

I'm sure there will be much more positive news about bitcoin in next few months. It was holding a steady price until, successive pieces of bad news drove the price down. Things can only get better from now on.

I hope you are right.  The multiple crashes, and the lower to BTC value ratios are killing things.  ASIC's aren't helping the matter at all.

Hey Bholzer,

I know your trying so hard to get the foundation to move forward with the coin but because of the "negative" news going around they are a little hesitant which I can understand BUT......

I had a thought which I hope will help, maybe we can send them some positive news about bitcoin which they might not know about for eg:

http://washington.cbslocal.com/2014/05/13/virgin-yahoo-founders-plunge-30-million-into-bitcoin/

I know its not much but if we can show them that successful guys like Richard Branson and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang are backing bitcoin then maybe they will start to warm up to Murraycoin.

If we can gather more positive news about bitcoin and pass it onto the foundation then who knows right?

Might not be a good idea but I thought I would share my 2 cents worth  Smiley

I believe in you Bholzer and I believe in Murraycoin.

I'm gonna clean up this town
A coin is undervalued

Nobody wants to purchase it, and the dumpers are going to drive it right down to 1 satoshi on Cryptsy.

The dumpers? Not sure where you've been but the dumpers have already been weeded out. The only people selling are people mining in switching-pools that automatically dump to the top buy. A lot of people are interested in this coin and I have accumulated a significant stash buying a little bit each day on Cryptsy. There is no sell pressure on this coin and I know for a fact the dev planned it this way. The price could be tripled on Cryptsy for less than 1 bitcoin. I watched this guy take Megacoin from less than 2 cents to over a dollar in about a day a few months back and it was over a dollar at thousands of BTC in volume for about a month before everything started dropping. Supporters of MRY also know this dev is serious about this coin whether he's in here posting updates every day or not. 99% of the time your statement would be accurate but not with Murraycoin. I will never doubt bholzer again.
