...and from what I understand, permission to use his likeness has been granted, even though he hasn't officially endorsed Murraycoin yet.

I'm sure he's aware it exists by now but (like with most of the population & cryptocurrency at the moment) probably doesn't care. If however at some point down the road MRYs are worth $1 each, he probably will care because his charitable foundation will benefit tremendously.

The dev is still here. The coin is not dying out. But, based on your user name, I'm guessing you're a day trader, in which case this is probably not the coin for you.

Anything new in here? I can't see any progress.

i guess you used cgminer on clevermining , go to fusionhash.com make an account under getting started it will give the stratum line
 (stratum+tcp://sfo.fusionhash.com:3333) create a worker (not wallet address) and password .you will need to download a murray wallet for the coin's though

hi, i am new to any coin that is not btc or clevermining which pays out in btc,, will my mining equipment work to mine alt coin - i am going to use a scrypt miner, here is kinda what confuses me when i look into coins that are not as common as btc and ltc---will a scrypt miner work to mine them??- will i be able to mine murray and others? will it be as easy as putting in the pool and my wallet ? is fusion coin the right place to do that?  thanks for any kind replies.. i cant wait to hear the news

Just so everybody is aware, Murraycoin will remain a scrypt coin for the time-being. However, I am not opposed to changing that at some point. That being said, we could look into a reverse multipool for X11/Scrypt-N/etc that dumps everything for MRY to hold us over for now.

The main enhancements in the new client will be the latest bitcoin source as a base, a new every-block difficulty adjustment formula, and a more Murray-focused new look on the QT wallets. All of that combined with the upcoming reward reduction (as-scheduled) will prevent the steady multipool dumping that has been slowly dragging down the value while we build up our army behind the scenes.

I'm not about to participate in flame wars or off-topic discussions but I will openly admit that those of you complaining about my reduced presence and our lack of marketing certainly have a legitimate gripe. However, I am not as concerned with hyping things up and beefing up the value right away for a big dump. We have partners and are continuing to make connections which makes Murraycoin a long-term-or-bust coin. This isn't a get-rich-quick coin at this stage (although for early miners it had that potential at one point). Also, the Murray Bros. Foundation partnership and endorsement are still not dead in the water - the conversation has simply stalled. If you're fed up with the lack of updates and slow progress I don't blame you - there is likely more to come. However, things are moving and the wheels of quality move slowly. MRY is real and it's here to stay. Is the current price on Cryptsy disgusting? Of course it is! However, good luck trying to buy 5 BTC worth at this price - right now, that would drive the price up 10 times on Cryptsy - so the price isn't a true representation of value. Am I taking full advantage of this dip? Of course I am! Was it part of the plan to drive it this low? Absolutely not - but when life gives you lemons you turn them into gold records.

This project has taken a different path at this point and I truly apologize to those of you who felt like you were sold a bill of goods - I never gave up (and I never will) and it's not if Murraycoin will still be a success... it's when. I have worked out a portion of the how part of the equation but there are still a few more pieces to put into place. The unfortunate, simple truth is that the bitcoin bad news flood came at the exact wrong time and derailed us. Also unfortunate was that part of the equation was relying on a 3rd party - I learned from the experience and will come back stronger. I'm not asking you to put your trust in me or Murraycoin - frankly, if I don't have your trust, I don't care at this point. Wait until I earn it. You don't owe me anything and I don't owe you anything. I'm not going to tell you the best investment you can make right now is in MRY because by this time tomorrow there will probably be a half dozen scam coins you could have doubled your money on. The only people really selling MRY right now are multipools... so jacking up the price right now only benefits them, really. I have nothing to gain from you buying Murraycoin at this exact moment.

In this business everybody loves you when they're raking in piles of cash and, when the chips are down, they turn their backs without even blinking. This isn't a popularity contest and I understood what I was getting into the moment I stepped into the ring. People are buying and selling BeeCoin, Rambocoin, and Zimstake - that's not a direction I'm impressed with. This entire market has become a parody of itself but we're on the verge of a revolution. We need to step up marketing and start getting this MRY community back together - I understand that. I know exactly what needs to be done and it will be done - as soon as we light this fuse this entire period will be water under the bridge. Anybody who knows me, however, knows I like to do things right. While it can be frustrating to wait... you can always be sure the end result was worth it.

I'm not going anywhere, Murraycoin isn't going anywhere, we will adapt as-needed and we will continue to push forward. 25 new scamcoins come out every day and people love to make a quick buck - I'm sorry this isn't one of those. I prefer... long bucks. I could have created a 100% PoS IPO coin and called it "Pinecoin" and probably made a million dollars by now - that was never the goal. I don't care if I'm wearing a solid gold tophat while I type up my posts if it means I had to earn the money to buy said hat dishonestly. The point of Murraycoin has always been having a good time, raising money for a good cause, and investing in something that can offer more. In all honesty, this community never really even got off the ground - we've had a couple of pools and we've made a few friends along the way but this thing has been primarily under the radar for 4 months now. Let's not look at that as a negative - let's look at that as how much potential continues to exist.

So continue to do your thing... continue to express your opinions either way... and we'll do things our way. When the time comes, you'll know it. This isn't my first rodeo and I appreciate the continued support so many of you continue to have for Murraycoin despite the ongoing radio silence and frustrating feeling of being left out in the cold. Hot cocoa is on the stove - maybe go pick up some BadgerCoin, ApeCoin, or HighFiveCoin until it's ready to serve? So much negative energy on this planet - can we leave Bill Murray out of it?

Updates will come when there are updates. New client will be released next week. Things will start moving in the right direction. Murraycoin isn't over - in fact, far from it - it has truly just started.

I want us all to get some of those hats I was talking about earlier.
