When is the next bullshit gox press release and new lame reason for holding money hostage? I always await the press releases with great anticipation in relation to goxs next stumbling block. Maybe Marks washing machine on fritz and he cannot allow withdrawls until he has fresh underwear?

The MTGox transaction API (https://data.mtgox.com/api/0/bitcoin_tx.php) shows transactions MTGox authors.

Throughout the outage— e.g. as early as the 8th— they've been making a small number of what looks like dust sweeping transactions.

One shown right now is TXID ed7ffa58fef651adaf1281ad10e98a4399eb2be40950345c7ccb7c8f76f067e1 which spends 45d45286bac04311684ab7716ab170b50781cde6b094d9a644fb89ca07ae6888:31 which is the coinbase transaction of block 0000000000000000da75e32e941537e00bd2e752527adba6193f35ccaa6da293. At the moment it only has 62 confirmations.

Because the rules of the Bitcoin protocol prohibit spending coinbase txn with under 100 confirmations this transaction is currently invalid and will remain invalid for another 38 blocks.

So after all this outage time, MTGox has still not fixed their software to stop authoring invalid transactions.

What a bad news!!!

This is where the word "incompetence" comes to mind.

What if a bunch of sharks could form up into a super shark?  That'd be awesome.  But, when they get together, they just kinda eat each other or whatever fish are around.

Anyway SHA cryptocoin is as valid and perhaps moreso, than they scrypties.  It's all based on can humans cooperate?  Early results say yes some can cooperate but not quite just yet.   It's okay though, BTC is a 30 year timeline.

The bad node shits on a mad crowd and so the blockchain servs the serfs to hand their head to them.

Satoshi never ment the blockchain to work as a chain -letter but thats what you get when being sold out to Goldman -Sucks.

Long live Litecoin and the second market ! Wink
Which is a clone of the bitcoin code with a different hash algorithm and some time/count adjustments ................

Nobody said the blockchain is a wrong idea but the real world abuse of bitcoin makes it obsolete for the idea come through.

Asic, Mt. GOX and bitcoinfoundation.

All not to be found in Litcoin and that makes it better suited for all peer to peer uses even micropayments....

Lets leave those fucking bitcoins to the crooks, its hopelessly overvalued and gotten oppressive !

Much critique based on knowledge of money and people?

Not so much based on knowledge of drugs or tech.

But then, cryptocoin is a paradigm shifter.  A blockchain is basically a database.  But if your sec-certs are f'd up, who cares because YOU are the one who causes a bad vibe in the database.

Satoshis idea is based on the group shitting out the bad nodes.  Well, derp.

edit

So, the miners and exchanges now feel the desire to purge a bad node, in accordance with the spirit, the ghost in the blockchain machine.

And yet, they cannot dislodge it, nor does anyone wish to see early adoptor Goxxies go down.  Or do they?  If so, I say shame on you shorts, to be snacking on n00bs like this.  A halt and an unwind and a exchange-agreed statement on correct certificate implemenation, would get it done.

Haters can be seen to hate the whole blockchain, but I think it's a great notion, great enough to call moby dick himself up from below.

they are testing withdraw now

Yeah they're 'testing' by sending cheaply bought bitcoins to their accounts on coinbase, bitstamp, and other exchanges to sell.

Why do you think the price is dropping on other exchanges?  If bitcoins weren't getting out, prices would stay the same elsewhere.

No...show me one person who panic- sold them a bitcoin under 300 dollars ! Did you?

They are selling ! And you know why? cause they only can still get those balances to the Bahamas...

And as every other exchange will do this as well cause its tolerated, every cautious investor sells his stash down

to get the fuck out of dodge. Any other speculation serves to make cashing out for the early whales that much easier as

the bagholders even send the crooks more money...Congrats

This is most likely true. If I were Mark, I would do it to save everyone.

This thread in itself should serve as another warning sign of what is to be expected with MTGOX.

Thread was created in April 2013, long before their issue with Fiat withdrawals in June 2013 happened.

Bitcoin withdrawal issues in late January 2014.

Bitcoin withdrawal halt in early February 2014.

waggling it a bit makes money for the controller.  To jump from 100 to 200 when you are running the thing, is well, obvious.

Still, I am hopeful for Goxxies, that this is just a buying opp for them, but would I tell my mom to send cash to Gox?  F*** no.

this guy cracks me up Grin

And I must tip my cap to rap verse earlier.  That was sweet.

Good thread here.  MAGIC is in the airs!  It's like electricity or a fart of ones own that smells sweet only to the issuer.  LOL

And Bitstamp is a lot of problematic, ,
Just 13.9 milion usd to total collapse or 40k bitcoins and the price go to 90 usd !
We have Total BTC 12 426 000 , The price may fall in one second at 10 usd.

I can agree with some of your points but let me ask you why mark is running such masive exchange in spite?
If he has those issues he really can not solve it, then excuse me but run exchange only in japan and for japanesse customers.
Mark want to operate big exchange in spite- that does not make sense to me.

Edit
And i agree with rampion post what follow.

Why does the trading continue?

It is obvious the Gox rates are way off from the market.  Why does Mt.Gox insist on not shutting down the trading?

Any normal exchange would have put a halt on trading until everything gets fixed.

However, Mt.Gox clearly is not,  so it is likely gaming this situation for themselves.

There is only the laywers game to find an excuse why they didn´t file for bankrutcy instantly.

Only because the accounts still haven´t been frozen yet and Mark is not in cuffs , they can sell even more BTC at higher prices

which still is being send offshore and a few crumps to feed the Sepa and Yen queues.

As there are coming truckloads of new money thats going to be the heist of the century - Yawn Cheesy

Once in a while feeding a rumor to the idiot tech community might help  Wink

That is what would normal exchange do, however Mtgox is not normal exchange.
Main agenda is profit, customer service and pleasure come last. As long they are making commisions they will operate and they dont care about how much time withdraw takes etc etc.
