Hi Nate,

Been really happy with MultiMiner for running my gridseeds on win8.1. It's my most troublefree option I've tested. I wanted to post this problem I've been having running 30 gridseeds in MM. It doesn't seem to occur when I have less than 5 - 10 running at once:

More often than not, when I start mining, 1 or 2 or 3 miners won't find shares, or they find 1 or 2 shares then stop. They are hashing full speed the whole time, even the ones not reporting shares. I've tried various combinations of "restart suspect miners" and "detect orphaned miners", but I rarely see an effect on this problem. The problem is not specific to any particular miner or com port, it jumps around.  I hit stop, then start mining again... Previous ones that didn't work, are now working, new ones are now not working. This happens 50-75% of the times I start mining. Its obvious to me when the problem is happening, so I don't wait more than 10 mins usually. If they are all going to work, they tend to all find shares in the 1st 1-2 mins. This has been true for me at any diff setting I use at the pool (multipool.us). But, it only takes about 10 mins of stop/starting to get all of them to work at once, and once they do, they run for days!

thanks

This pic was at a high diff setting, hence the low amount of shares...

Can you please explain the processes you went thru to get multiminer working with your gridseed it would be highly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Minor iOS MobileMiner bug.  When you tap on a miner, it pulls down the details.  After doing so, it is not possible to hide the small strip on the side for the details.  It would seem intuitive that you can click on a blank part of the miners and clear it, but the only way I've found to clear it is to kill the app.

Can someone explain how the perks donation works? How is 1% donated? I enabled it and want to help with development Smiley Just not sure HOW I am sending you anything.
and it doesn't submit any donation shares for network miners.

That is where I was confused as my antminers all all networked. I guess a manual donation then?

Pretty much.  That, or if you use ghash.io for your pool, you can set the payout to give a certain percent to another address.

Every 100th share is sent to Nwools pool instead of yours.  You can see the pool change to 'donation' when it's sending.

Bugs:
I don't think Nwools has a pool configured for all coins, and it doesn't submit any donation shares for network miners.

Found a small bug on one particular pool when I was doing some mining for a friend.  When mining to Coin-Pool (stratum+tcp://dem.coin-pool.org), the reported profitability was way out of whack.  Happened when using both coinbase and coinwarz, but as soon as I switched pools (ghash and Eligius are my mains), the numbers went back to about where I expected them to be.

Can I use this with my Cointerra Terraminer IV?

If yes, how?

MultiMiner will work with any of the miners listed in the BFGMiner thread.  For assistance setting up anything not listed there, the BFGMiner thread is the place to go.

It looks like it is not currently supported, but is in the works.

Once 4.0 is closer (probably today / tomorrow) I'll release another build. If the issue still exists then I will start working with individuals to address it.

Cool, thanks. Looking forward to the new build.

I've heard a few similar reports but only have 2 devices currently for reproducing issues. I do have some remote access to machines with more for doing more investigating.

That said the build of BFGMiner out there is just past the "It Works" stage and there's been a lot of changes since then. Once 4.0 is closer (probably today / tomorrow) I'll release another build. If the issue still exists then I will start working with individuals to address it.

That was kind of the reason for wanting to show the pools.  Say I had a couple hundred network miners.  It would be nice to be able to see at-a-glance which ones are mining to which pool.  Personally speaking, I think that the pool info is more valuable than seeing which mining software is doing the mining, and were it up to me, and I wanted to keep the more condensed format, I might change it so that a popup shows the mining software, and the column shows the pool.

Awesome - ty for the valuable feedback. Noted and will try to get to it soon (traveling this week)  Grin

Nwools, I just noticed today that the HTML5 version of MobileMiner doesn't display the pool it is mining to on the front page.  Would it be possible to add another column to display the pool info without having to click on the miner for more info?

Great call - will do!

So I've implemented this as a tooltip instead of displaying it within the table. It just seemed a bit busy to me with that information included. Hover over the coins to see the last pool that submitted work. Let me know what you think.

Note that you could theoretically be mining 100 different pools per machine, so for simplicity and server resources I just show the one without clicking through to the details.

Unfortunately I am not familiar with setting that exact parameter but if you have the argument for BFGMiner already you can enter that directly into MultiMiner. Click on Settings > Advanced miner settings and enter it under the SHA-2 Arguments.

I am having a hell of an issue to get my Avalon to show up in Multi miner.

My stand alone avalon 200 gh/s miner is at ip address 10.0.0.100, in the settings i have it set W:127.0.0.1,10.0.0.0/24 (i've also tried, W:127.0.0.1,10.0.0.100/24, and a few others for giggles)

The miner will show up in Multi Miner, but it always crashes with this error: "invalid uri the hostname could not be parsed" then i have to quit the miner app.

any suggestions?

Sounds like something I need to handle in MultiMiner - as someone guessed maybe an odd URI. To me it sounds like it is probably your Pools on the Avalon. MultiMiner reads them and then tries to parse them to get out smaller abbreviations.

When this happens can you please click to view the details of the crash and CTRL+C and CTRL+V the details in a post here? In addition if you could list the Pools URLs for your Avalon that would help. Finally, the API Log .json from %appdata%\MultiMiner folder would also help as that will have the pools API response.

Careful if you reuse passwords for your workers though as those may be in the API calls.

I know its probably been asked somewhere on this thread, but 126 pages is a bit deep, but is there a way to change the oscillator bits on Fury's in multiminer?? I played around on it a bit last night and couldn't find what I was looking for...(I know its probably simple and if it was a snake it would have bit me by now...)...
I like how it looks and when I get MORE time I plan on getting better acquainted with it.....but until I understand it a bit better I will continue to mine with just BFG miner.... but I feel that this program will be used by me in the very near future...
