If I am given a chance to go back to 2020 I would hold my ETH very tight and never let go, when covid was hitting the world at its best I thought it over and I sold 24 ETH which I bought at 120$ each, I never knew I was so damn lucky to buy at that price, learn to hold tight if you believe in a project, there are countless of projects in past years that are way bigger in value right now.

It's okay mate what happens with you is a lesson. we regret sometimes but in then end we realize that regrets is very useful cause we learn how to do it next time. Like your experience you have a bog amount of ethereum but did not handle it properly and sell it when the price are too low.
Now you know for sure if you holding a coin you won't sell it when the price are low.

I think everyone has the same regrets as like you, especially Ethereum was the biggest regrets who sold it at early stage when price was 200$-300$, in 2017 when i bought more than 30 ETH but i didn’t hold for the long term and it was wrong decision but i sold it for urgent money. Whatever, even if i want to, i can't bring that time back. Yeah, not only ETH, so many projects we missed to hold tightly.

my biggest regret? Of course in 2019, because I actually sold Ethereum at $150 and sold Waves at $3,
I really regret it now that Ethereum is at $3000 and Waves is at $20, of course time can't go back,
and it will always be I save it as a lesson for me.

We have so many regrets in the past, but if you are looking closely at the pattern there would be a stepping point for jumping price later on that we don't know yet what would happen.
If you remember when in 2017 the price was really high at that time and then went down in next 2 years to be going up again in 2020-current year, so there is no reason to just regret your past decision, there are so many opportunities for us to even get greater rewards with how we experienced the past events in last few years.

Everyone makes mistakes so there is not much of a point in lamenting what you did back then, what you need to figure out is what to do right now to keep increasing your holdings of ethereum or other coins?

I know it is not easy to let go of the past especially since we are talking about an important amount of money, but you have to do it, otherwise it is going to be impossible for you move forward and this is something that will cause you to make even more mistakes in the future.

You won't have to regret if you sell your coins still at a reasonable price, as long as you're not losing, then its something you still have to be thankful. However, if you regret of not buying ETH when it was very affordable, and prefer to hold shitcoins and meme coins, that is definitely a valid reason to regret. Apparently, you are not holding them to make profits, but to lose your money, time and effort. For me, i do have my own regret and that is not buying bitcoin when its still very cheap. So i make sure i'm not doing the same mistake again that i may regret in the future.
This is basically how I try to approach things. I made a good profit by selling my bitcoins back in the day, and it was actually quite good, like made 15x return and that was awesome, how would I know that it would have gone up even more Cheesy.

So, yeah I could have been very rich, literally like buy a whole apartment type of super rich person and that would have changed my life, instead I am living comfortably, do not have too big of a debt, nothing that I can't pay up today, and still working to survive, if I lose my job then I will lose all my income and I would be suddenly poor. That is the difference between "making profit" and "keep holding".

Same. I had lots of Ethereum before but never saw the future.
It's okay though as I learned a lot from my mistakes. Regrets will be part of it and should just move on. Same with Bitcoin and BNB but I said, we don't have a crystal ball to have a glimpse of what will happen and keep it. When a bull comes we tend to be excited about the value gained of our coin and withdraw it instantly. That's just being human.
There are still gems in the crypto market, you will just need to look deeper.

You're not the only one so many of us here have the same wish, especially during the pandemic when the price of all the top coins in the market is crashing, but that is over and gone, it's not yet Bitcoin is predicted to reach $1 million so why not accumulate Bitcoin and other top coins in the market, the future is still bright.

There's no such thing as perfect trading or investing but keep in mind that a profit is still a profit no matter how small or big it is. In your case, you're still lucky that you gained profit because some investors have bought their coins at a higher price and sold them at a lower price. We all have that kind of regret but that's the risk of crypto investment and mostly, it needs a lot of patience.

There will always be regrets when we sell only for a small profit and in the near future the price goes up drastically and it must be painful because we all want big profits, and it will be a worthwhile experience. And most importantly you don't sell it at a loss.
long term is indeed the best choice to get big profits, but it is undeniable that sometimes we will be tempted when prices start to rise a little and maybe there are other factors because we need them.
So I think it's better to sell a little profit than panic sell and also lose, because the market is difficult to predict.

How much is the price of ETH when you sold it? Atleast you didnt sell at loss and you still gain from it and thats what matter. Its quite normal to sell at the wrong time since we cant predict the movement right after we buy/sell, we dont have crystal ball. Plus during that time (2020) covid became a threat and investors are in panic, its a human nature to feel that way but for holders who have strong hands, they are unshakable.

Anyway it happened already dont dwell in the past, so now be wise enough to not repeat the same mistakes again.

im sorry for your lose but when you sold it right now and then you will be getting almost 30x more from what you have sold but by the way im sorry for your lose. You must be a lucky guy again soon. You can try to get the hidden gem and hope if it will become a dragon soon. I have ever sold a few hundreds ethereum at the bottom and i regret my decision. lol.

I never knew I was so damn lucky to buy at that price, learn to hold tight if you believe in a project, there are countless of projects in past years that are way bigger in value right now.
Yeah that's why the chance will always there as long as we are actively searching for the hidden gem and we can find so many new gems that will be giving the best performance like what ethereum did.
We just need to be decipline.

I don't understand why you should feel sorry for someone who claim to buy eth $120 and sell in 2020, I can not recall at what price eth was trading (probably above 1k) but he has made a lot of profit from the time he bought and sell.
There is no need to feel sorry, he made good profit from his investment, he didn't lose anything.  He should rejoice and invest on other good projects in top 100 or less on cmc for another opportunity.

If such an opportunity is offered to practically everyone here, no one will refuse it because of a sequence of prior failures. That covid ruined my crypto career, because I was scared of losing nearly all of my investment, so I sold all of my crypto tokens at a loss. The worst part is that when they return, it's always unpleasant to watch the coin you failed to keep pumping. We, on the other hand, take this as a lesson and move on to learn from our mistakes.

Of course there are regrets, but don't dwell on them too long. The most important thing is that you know what will happen in the future when we have a coin with great potential. I think it's not wrong when we sell it as long as we don't sell at a loss, maybe at that time we won't make as much profit as if we sell it now. But in the world of cryptocurrencies the same opportunities will always exist.
You won't have to regret if you sell your coins still at a reasonable price, as long as you're not losing, then its something you still have to be thankful. Well don't dwell on it too much. This is just an expensive lecture from life. At least that is the way that I see it. I could have had so much money by now, had I only known to invest in apple or playstation or microsoft or Bitcoin or Ethereum or and so on and so on. See, you can't predict the future you can only get lucky. That is what investors are, most of the time. Lucky.

So if you look at it that way, there is no reason to cry over spilled coins.
The sad thing is not about "what if I invested X much to bitcoin back in the day?", that is a big what if and you would never know. However, if you actually did owned bitcoin, and sold them for some reason instead of keeping them then you become a bit more worried and it does make you question your life.

I earned SO MANY bitcoins back in the day, like you wouldn't believe it, I am talking about 100+ bitcoins easily, possibly closer to 200 bitcoins. What happened? At the time that was just a few thousand dollars, less than 3.5k dollars, and I sold them and paid my debt and lived with it, used it like a salary. I could have not done that and be super wealthy right now Sad.

The best part about your complaint is you still make some profits and to me profit is profit either big or small, its not the end many altcoins are gems and if you can find them before they become a multi-million project you will make a lot of money.

why should regret?, at least you have made a profit and also learned that hold for long term will be more profitable, especially if you use the profit for important things during a difficult period due to the pandemic so there should be no regrets.
One thing you might consider next is to sell your crypto assets whose value starts to increase only partly and keep some, but this only work for potential altcoin.

If you have to sell any coin it shouldn't be Ethereum, even if you buy ETH and BTC as a time high you will still make your profits times 2 back in near future, they don't go to zero like most altcoins do.
I totally agree with what you are saying because it is very clear and very accurate to say "they (Bitcoin and Ethereum) are not going to zero like most altcoins" so if someone wants to sell something for money he should probably spend it as soon as possible , it's good not to sell the two coins, but for the other coins I think it will be fine to sell if there is a sudden need that can't be postponed.

All crypto users must feel the thing that is happening to you at this time, we often hold coins that have potential in the long run but we still doubt that it can happen, so every investment we must have great confidence to get maximum results, especially ethereum is one of the coins that does have high potential and the price that occurs today will definitely increase again, then in this case throw away all existing regrets and re-choose coins that have the potential to develop for the future.
To have trust we need to do our own research so that we know detailed information about the coins we will invest,
when it comes to investing in top altcoins like Ethereum and BNB which are the top two altcoins right now I think almost everyone knows that they are potential coins and will be profitable for long term investment
