If I am given a chance to go back to 2020 I would hold my ETH very tight and never let go, when covid was hitting the world at its best I thought it over and I sold 24 ETH which I bought at 120$ each, I never knew I was so damn lucky to buy at that price, learn to hold tight if you believe in a project, there are countless of projects in past years that are way bigger in value right now.
Not only you OP, many of us here have regrets not buying last 2020, Im holding huge amount of tokens that year also but sold at very cheap price and most of them reach 20x to 500x last year. But I think we are all learned from mistakes, buy and hodl is the best strategy to earn huge profit in crypto.

We all have our crypto wishes mate, I wish I bought BTC at 150$ in 2010 because it was within my reach at the time, someone came to me and told me all this crypto stuff but I never even took the advice seriously so we just move on, this isn't the end you learn lessons from our mistakes.
If in 2010 you already knew about Bitcoin through your friend's suggestion, why did you only enter this forum in 2021 ? while in 2010 until now there has been a lot of discussion about Bitcoin and also the altcoin project that maybe you can reap very good results through it, so I am surprised when you say this.

You made a typical mistake. If you have invested in a project, then you should ask yourself what problem this project solves and what will happen to it if the economy does not go well for whatever reason. If you answered both questions positively, then you should invest in such a project and then you have to keep it even if times are worse. Only the weak hands sell in times of crisis. The strong hands buy and are the ones who end up making the big profits.

I hope you have sold ETH and made a profit. Regret about the lost profit is not worth it, especially since it is impossible to go back to the past again to do the right thing. After all, there are many coins that, in contrast to Ethereum, have brought big losses to their investors.
We don't have a time machine to go back in time, but the journey from what we did is an important lesson that the top altcoins are worth keeping for the long term, I also hold 14 ETH since 2020 but only took 1x flip profit to put it in the trading book.

holding your coin to an an extent is good, but not everyone can gather the moment of holding a coin for long time, so from my perspective, an investment is a mind or patient, the longer is coin going the more the increment, to hold a coin gives more advantages, because it may be that bitcoin will skyrocket to higher amount today or tomorrow, so immediately bitcoin increase the more alternative coin alias altcoins follow the increment

Regret to hear that. Infact at that time people buying Coins for long term and second you choosen top coin this why possible that It will go high in future. Now to he market Sentiment changed. Everybody jump over other project and did not stay long In one project. Many competition here in projects, Ecosystem, Metaverse,P2E and no one can say that next which coin will make history.
I remember that I had received 2500$ worth of Pyr with 1.72 price but I sold and letter the price reached to 40$.

If you sold it i April 2020 then at least you should have still made a profit with it. Of course the profit that you managed to achieve was only a fracture of the potential profit that you could have made if you would have held the Ethereum a few years more up until now or back into May 2021 when ETH was above 4000$ but the big problem with investments is that you can not look into the future. You should not look back to often because you just get frustrated every time you think about that "mistake" that you have made even if it wasn't a real mistake. Back then you just did what you thought was right. So it's time to move on i would say.

Wish I had known BTC could cost tens of dollars. I will buy it and hold on tight till now.
Don't wish too much. There is no time machine except in the movie "The Terminator or The Time Machine".
We just need to make changes not regrets.
Regret does not come in the beginning, because if regret can come in the beginning, then everyone in this world will be happier and happier and it will be easier for him to find the wealth he wants.
Actually, it is not only changes that need to be made, but also trust that needs to be increased and patience in storing it must also be greater, just imagine those who believe in Bitcoin and dare to buy it during the correction in 2018 and sell it last year Roll Eyes Shocked

Your regret is almost the same as mine. At the start of the pandemic I had 10ETH in my personal wallet. I held it very firmly, but at that time my finances were very bad. I was fired from work, the pandemic worsened the situation, and my savings were slowly running low. without thinking further I sold all the eth I had, because by then the price had gone up. but when my finances improved I didn't think about buying eth again even though at that time the price wasn't too different from when I sold it. a year later in 2021 to be exact, I realized that the decision at that time was the wrong choice and I regret it now.

I'm currently trying to buy back little by little and will hold onto it for years to come. no matter if many people say ethereum is too high or too expensive, i stick to my current decision, buy it for a long term investment.

There is nothing to regret here, you haven't said anything about why you sold those ETH, maybe a responsibility unfold? The best thing is getting money when you needed it the most this is why I didn't regret if I sell any coins and later it surge higher.

We all have face similar kind of situations where we regret selling our coins at way low price then the current time but i would say it's not your mistake as you need funds in emergency and that was only way you see to help you. Those times people survival was tough and funds we save can be utilised then.Although 24 ETH at this time are worth $84k but at what prices you have sold them? Because i think you have manage to gain good profits with them as buying them at $120 in past must have given you profits so don't feel bad.

Most important thing is acceptance no matter what your decision because you will never have a peace of mind by thinking that opportunity over and over. If you still having a hard time for that opportunity missed, Just remember that there's a guy named Laszlo Hanyecz that exchange his 10,000BTC for a 2 slices of Pizza. Imagine how much money he missed right now compared on what you experieced. All of us has a what if but we can use it as a motivation to move forward and things to consider for our future decision.

it's an advantage if you can hold on until now, but come back if in 2020 there is a financial problem or other problem and the only way to solve that problem you have to sell your eth

Lessons to learn from the past. It makes us come out different after the experience.

Practically the experience with you, I have some regrets. I may have gotten some ETH still it should have been more if I learn to trade it well in selling at the right time and buying at the right time. I was lucky to have bought ETH as early as 2015 and then sold as well. Its the most tragic story of my life that I could have more to spend this recession time. But I'm glad still. If it didn't happen I wouldn't strive harder to learn from that experience. Now I'm getting confident in trading.

I appreciate the fact that you realise this mistake and hope to prevent it in future but it is wrong to say that in future there might be shitcoins that go up. Shitcoins will always remain shitcoins no matter what happens to the primary market. There are some exceptions but not worth putting your time and money in. So why waste thinking about those countless projects?

If you would say the same for Bitcoin and other top altcoins I would say that you learnt a lesson and don't repeat it in future.

That's why most at times it is not good to rush into action without making the right decisions, selling off such about of ETH then compared to current price is a strong and big lost. But one thing for sure is that there's always a big chance for you to buy some units and hold instead of regretting in two years time to come.
One thing you must know is that; we learned from our past or
We learned from what happened to other people out there. Be bold and strong enough to buy and hold.
