[member opinion] percentage of donations for fundraising

I think there is an error in vote tallying. I have 820 seats, I have just voted for 25% and the 25% shows only 256 seats at this moment, while 50% shows 831.

Update: or there could be some delay involved. Reloaded a few times and now 25% has 1076.

There is a delay. Thought the exact same thing. I see that my 256 are confirmed now ^_^

What's a GPU?
@the two guy before me.

We have a poll function for this. It's not necessary that everyone posts his opinion.

BTW. this has probably been asked before, but why has OgNasty "leet" posts?

Or is this a joke from theymos and he currently has 1337 Post and it will be gone as soon as he posts again?

Yes it's a joke. One that that I happen to greatly appreciate Tongue

Maybe wait until we have vouchers. I get tired playing with promises from BFL. When I see vouchers and hardware then I am ready to put donations to fund raising.

They really blew it. Hope we still be one of the first to get online with this machines when they ship out.

With the vouchers that will be issued...

Maybe wait until we have vouchers. I get tired playing with promises from BFL. When I see vouchers and hardware then I am ready to put donations to fund raising.

My thought on this is that if we started taking a percent off of donations and put toward future miners it'd be a long term value proposition for seat owners. I'd say we can vote on a specific percent if most are interested in doing this in the first place, worst case we overshoot what we need we can always distribute the extra as a larger donation one week.

Please write what you want to see in a membership opinion poll. Because it is just opinion poll maybe we include different percent to vote on. Then we see how many members want what percent. For example:

0%
10%
25%
50%
75%
100%

After we see opinions we can choose the percent for a official fundraiser poll.

With the vouchers that will be issued, are we planning on purchasing additional units and if so do we need any fundraising to support (should we raise a motion to allocate a percent of donations toward these)?

I was hoping we'd be able to use funds from our bASIC orders to fund more BFL purchases.  Optimism about bASIC refunds is fading.  Is diverting donations something other NastyFans want to explore?

As most (if not all) would be for 25% off I think we'd really want to take advantage of that -

I'd say we can vote on a specific percent if most are interested in doing this in the first place, worst case we overshoot what we need we can always distribute the extra as a larger donation one week.  So that being the case...anyone want to "second" my motion that we do a vote on whether or not to allocate a percentage of our donations toward equipment we could get with the vouchers?

Not being a miner (that is why I have NASTY Wink ) I don't really know... when are we expected to get our BFL ASICs?

Thank you!

I use Multibit on this laptop.  I know it didn't show up on blockexplorer for a long time so I figured it was something to do with my side, but really didn't even know where to look.  Usually don't have this issue so not sure what happened yesterday.

Not sure if this is the right place ot post, but I tried buying at auction and it took a long time for the block to transfer (over an hour) - http://blockexplorer.com/tx/ff44b2829e8c4759d1449dc96bb51db747eccf01b31625bdfde8634d12b64be0.

Yes this is a good place to post. The problem is your Bitcoin client or service. It waited 1 hour 12 minutes to post the transaction to the Bitcoin network. Or you waited 1 hour 12 minutes to send the Bitcoin.

What Bitcoin client or service do you use? Maybe you can share what happened on your side?

However, the purchase expired.  Is the money gone now?

Bitcoin does not disappear. The Bitcoin transferred to the nastyfans account. The purchase order expired because 7 blocks pass without the transaction on the network (0 confirmations). But I now manually restart the purchase order and now it is complete.
