Sorry but I got to disagree with you because it was reviewed, not only 1 ref made a decision, it was a unanimous one and I think they know their job better, unless we think it was rigged.
You see from the top view camera angle and the ball clearly flips out from scope of the cylinder they usually make the judgement of the call. Believe they line it up in a cone formation to make the call.

Look at the screen below:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dVjr64E9l7k

So call it what you will. But watching it live like I did, you can see where the ball's trajectory was going and where he grabbed the ball to dunk it for the score.

Allow me to joined the discussion here. I also checked some video regarding that controvertial call by the refs, as you can see in
https://www.tiktok.com/@bleacherreport/video/7372023824172305707

And here's some of the comment that agreed with the call.

Quote
Yes because in replay you can see it’s an inteference, Kat couldn’t see it fair enough, Luka was looking under the basket he saw it

And this one could explain as well.

What is basket interference? Explaining controversial call on Karl-Anthony Towns in Timberwolves' loss to Mavericks

Quote
What is basket interference?
Touch any ball from within the playing area when it is above the basket ring and within the imaginary cylinder.

Offensive goaltending is rarely called. The shot Wednesday appeared to be leaving area of the rim, though it could have had a chance to hit the rim again on the way down, making it a close call for the referees.

So it was a close call, and since refs made the final decision, we just have to accept it and move on, besides, this is just game 1.

Take a look here: https://x.com/NBAOfficial/status/1793678297387147363

That is the official Twitter account of NBAOfficial and they have this very amazing technology where they can able to review the replay and take a closer look at the ring and ball. And it is showing that it's really a goaltending.

I'm backing the overs again the totals didn't budge as much (only by a few points) and this should be another close offensive match similar to the last game. One of the few things that don't look good here is how the Celtics always underperform in their second home game. If the trend continues for the Celtics and they suddenly underperform in this game, I hope it's during the second half.

I really like the Over here too, especially since these are best offensive teams in the NBA... However, the Celtics have lost game 2 in each of their playoff series so far this season, and I guess winning the last game by a whisker would have given them some form of reality check coming into tonight, they'll need to handle business early and I'm backing them to do just that.

I'm on Celtics -5.5 in the first half @ 1.88

GL!

We both got our win! Congratulations.

Although, I won mine by the slightest margin possible, despite Boston Celtics leading by a huge double digits in the 2nd Quarter, they almost didn't cover the spread due to inconsistency and some sloppy plays defensively, I'm just glad I was able to get all that actually mattered in the end, which is winning the bet  Cheesy

----------------

Boston Celtics finally were able to win game 2 for the first time in this 2024 playoffs, and Pacers lost Haliburton in the 3rd Quarter, I hope it's not a serious one and he'll be able to play in 2days time in Indiana, as there is just a day of rest between these games in this series. Not having Haliburton would definitely be the biggest blow for the Indiana Pacers, and I might just take the Celtics  to win ML in game 3 early once the lines opens, as I'll expect some decent odds of around 1.75+

I will be taking the +9.5 for Indiana Pacers, in game 1 they didn't disappoint us and they even have a good chance to steal Game 1 from the Boston Celtics.
I'm seeing a different scenario in this game, I felt that the celtics will make a huge adjustment as they gave up too many points in game 1. The defense was lost, I mean, they are a good defensive team especially at home, so while everyone is probably riding the hype of what happened in game 1, I going to the opposite direction as i think this will be a blowout win by the Celtics, additionally, I'm talking the under as well.

Same here, I'm feeling that the Celtics will not make this game close as Game 1 and so they will make some adjustments like playing defense and not allowing the Pacers easy scoring here.

With that I'm going to bank on Boston here at -7.5 @1.75 before the game. It's possible that they can cover this spread if the right adjustments are going to be made by them in this game. And they will still be led by Tatum and Brown. I'm just contemplating as who will be the MVP in the Eastern conference between this two Celtics.

So goodluck to all bettors.

Later. Back to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Will the Pacers steal one or will they go back home with 2 losses.
Here is my pick.
Boston Celtics - Indiana Pacers - Indiana Pacers (10.5) - Game 1 was so close which means a lot. I won't be underestimating the Pacers as they showed they can also put some good offense even if JB and JT are going. The Pacers did great in Game 1, they need to repeat that and more to win Game 2.

Good luck everyone, have a nice day.

Indiana advanced to the Conference Finals by beating New York on the road in Game 7 despite not having home court advantage, and in my opinion, they were the team that was able to take on the three remaining teams, the so called end of division monsters. While I still expect the Celtics to be the champions since the beginning of the season, I also appreciated Indiana's reaction in the first game.

We watched a first game in which both the first half and the end of the game ended in a tie and in overtime the Celtics could barely keep the home court advantage. It is critical for Indiana to take the home court advantage to win the series and although they came close, they couldn't do it. With 8 of its last 9 games as a non favorite ending in high scoring affairs, Indiana's entire capital comes from its offense. They'll need to step up on offense and show their character if they want to be a presence today and take home court advantage.

Yeah they need to keep that momentum though Celtics escape that game 1 OT win, Indiana gives them a tough competition just have to be more wiser if that same opportunity comes up, as mentioned before they can easily foul any of those players who receive the ball and give that FT instead of allowing the player to take that 3 point shot then suddenly regret like what happened to that last shot that went in, though not an easy shot for JB but it went in and let them survive during OT.

Good luck to all those who will support the Pacers either ML or handicap it will be an interesting game again for this conference finals.

Minnesota Timberwolves - Dallas Mavericks - Dallas Mavericks ML @2.55 - Won!
Over 204.5 @1.74 - Won!

Kyrie Irving. Thank you. I have been for that Kyrie to come and he never disappointed all his fans in the world. I am so proud to see him go like that. Super aggressive and it made Antman exhausted in the 4th quarter. Then Luka took over in the 4th quarter as if saying that he will handle the rest and Kai could rest. Grin

Currently, the odds are still good at 1.86 so pretty much that's already very attractive for the majority of sports bettors.

I might also watch this game and do some live betting to make it more exciting. So good luck to everyone.

Was busy last night and didn't get my over bet in.  Pacers game only getting 222.5 on the over lol dam that was easy money.

Tonight should be a good night amd expecting a tight battle.  I'm picking the hometown wolves taking game 1 with a spread of -4.5 and taking the under at 206.5.  I can see this being a 103-96 type of game.  Just hoping for a good game.

Was a close game but went 0-2 in the first game in thsi series.  I might not bet each of these games since they are most likely going to be unpredictable.  Might stick with player props, much easier to pick.

Taking the Celtics-11 here.  I kmwo the last game they shoukd have probably lost but I still think they got a couple blowouts in them and with the next 2 on the road what better time than game 2

I went with the unpopular opinion and back the Dallas Mavericks when they had a 1-point lead towards the end of 3rd quarter, My sole reason for that was because of how Kyrie has been playing all night, and I believe if the Timberwolves have attempted way more 3 point and have knocked down significant number of it but still can get a decent separation, that could mean trouble is lurking around for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Congrats on your live Mavs bet, i'm surprised that the odds were a bit high at the time.

The Timberwolves were close to building their lead by at least double digits before the second quarter ended, but the Mavs kept it together in the last few possessions. Then that back and forth during the fourth quarter with 3 minutes left made it feel like it could've gone either way, but the Mavs quickly brought it back with the double three-pointer while the Timberwolves couldn't get a bucket until the final minute.
The loss of the TWolves was due to a bad call by the refs towards that Kat dunk.
They say the shot from the previous attempt was within the cylinder of the basket. So Towns dunk did not count which would of tied it with just over a minute and a half left in the game.
That was when Luka was on that 9-0 point run and counting that basket from Kat Towns would of switch that momentum the Mavs had to win the game.

Hard loss by Minnesota so hopefully they can comeback in tonight's game along with the Pacers who are at Boston.

I would agree with you, and it all went by so damn fast, Timberwolves had just lost their challenge a few possession prior, and with two minutes left on the clock, the least I expected from the official was to review the basket, I don't even know if they did and if they did that was so damn fast and I didn't hear any communication about it being reviewed. The refs ought to do better, it's the conference finals for crying out loud, and these marginals calls could make or mar a teams entire season, and one in a life time opportunity.

LOL! This dude probably loss a lot of money on that game. I guess everyone was into the Wolves -4.5 on that game because they came from a big win against the defending champion, but you can't expect the same result with a different match up. Actually, irving wasn't scoring well in the OKC series but the Mavs still won the game, so the answer is very easy when both Luka and Irving are producing big numbers.

The loss of the TWolves was due to a bad call by the refs towards that Kat dunk.

I think Boston takes game 2 and probably the series in 5 games or less, but with how close the last game was and with how wide the spread is, I have to take Indiana plus 11.5 here.  I don't think they get blown out with Boston still expected to have so many players out with injuries.  I think they even have a decent chance of taking game 2, but then Boston is expected to get KP back and things start looking a little worse for Indiana.

Boston Celtics - Indiana Pacers
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Indiana Pacers (11.5)

Odds
1.64

I'm copying you but for me, it is +9.5 for Indiana Pacers.

Boston Celtics are expected to be favored, as they are the superior team and have home-court advantage.
Indiana Pacers have also struggled to win away games in the playoffs. However, the Indiana Pacers offense could be their advantage to win.
