I'm taking the underdogs today even though there's a good chance that Cleveland gets beat by 40.  When you get a +17.5 on the game it's hard not to take the bet.  I was basically flipping a coin whether to take Cleveland +17.5 or Boston -16.5.  I think they both have about equal chances.  Either Cleveland will make it a game or they won't.  I'm guessing without Mitchell there are going to be guys wanting to leave their mark on the season.  We'll see...  I also think the Mavericks have a good chance at beating the Thunder, so taking them +5.5 actually seems like the safer bet to me.

Boston Celtics - Cleveland Cavaliers
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Cleveland Cavaliers (17.5)

Oklahoma City Thunder - Dallas Mavericks
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Dallas Mavericks (5.5)

Odds
3.15

This turned out to be a pretty good bet. I was worried for a bit at the end of the Cavs game but they came through and narrowly beat the spread for me. A nice consolidation prize considering their season is now over and they’re likely to lose their star player. Still, can’t hate on beating the spread by 2 points on a +17.5.

I'll back the home favorites today to cover the spread (OKC -4.5), after that collapse from the Mavs in the last game, i'm losing faith in their players to step up and fill in the gaps.

If Luka doesn't show up again, OKC could take over to lead this series and SGA will probably deliver another big performance.

Edit: What a letdown from OKC, most of the players missing their shots while the Mavs are stepping up big time.

Game 5 - New York Knicks - Indiana Pacers - Indiana Pacers ML - Loss! - The Knicks played really strong here. If homecourt advantage will always affect the game, I guess the Pacers will have a low chance to win this series.
Game 5 - Denver Nuggets - Minnesota Timberwolves - Denver Nuggets (-1.5) Win! - Strong Nuggets, they truly dominated this game through defense against Antman.

2 games today. 1 game already starting. Here are my picks.

Game 5 - Boston Celtics - Cleveland Cavaliers - Cleveland Cavaliers (15.5) - Lucky are those who got the +17.5. Nice one @OgNasty. The Celtics could end the series on this game. They can smell blood but the Cavs would probably resist.

Game 5 - Oklahoma City Thunder - Dallas Mavericks - Dallas Mavericks ML @2.50

Good luck everyone!

Couple games on tonight, I didn't care to bet on last night's and wish I did.

I took both home favorites here tonight.  Boston -15.5. Big spread but it's a closeout game Boston gonna ball hard all 48 minutes I like them in a blowout.  Then okc.  Rooting to see an okc and Timberwolves comf final.  Something way different than we are used to.  Okc by 4.5 points

I also had the Knicks as well with the -1.5 and it didn't disappoint those who bet on them ML or the handicap as they covered it with a lot of spare if you bet on them pre-game. Jalen Brunson was on fire in this game with a huge 44 points.

So now it goes back to Pacers homecourt. And I think we might see a game 7 in this series.

Most probably we will see a game 7 in this series if the pattern will not break. These teams are good when playing at their homecourt. Too bad that i bet for the Pacers in this game because i thought that the Pacers has the momentum and also think that Brunson was hurt but he was on fire tonight scoring 44 points.

Congrats on the mate, hope i can tail on your bet tomorrow.

Pacers got locked down because they were scoreless in 7 minutes in the 4th. The game could have easily went over if they scored at least 10 points in that minutes they were scoreless. It's a great series, you can see the competitiveness of both teams and since they are both good at home, then just don't break that, and we know the drill in game 6. I'm putting bigger bet in game 6 and if I win, I'll maybe pass game 7.
But still in that game, although the score reflect that the Knicks win huge, there were moments that they keep coming back, they've erased that big lead at the start of the 3rd quarter and make it a single digit at 7 points. And then they Knicks make a run pushing the lead again to double digits. But the Indiana make another huge comeback and then the Knicks reply. It will be in Pacers homecourt next game, and this series pattern is homecourt win, but who knows, as what @ rdbase said, maybe it will break the pattern like the Nuggets vs Wolves and this series ending in 6 by a big win by the Knicks at Pacers homecourt.

Denver broke the pattern in their game last night winning on their home court because it was a road warriors series before that having the away team win both their games.
Think that Minnesota has lost their energy and spent it too early because they didn't look like they did when the series started. Losing by 15 points is a defining margin to showing they are running out of steam in these playoffs.
And relying on defensive plays takes up more of that energy than offensive plays.

Anyone who thinks that the NYK will make a comeback in the next game as MSG?

I have them at -1.5 this early at 1.88 odds, I think despite that they lack personnel, they will have to bounce back in this game and the Villanova boys will have to find a way to win and get back the momentum in this series.

They struggled without OG, if he will not play, I think the Pacers will win. The confidence of the Pacers now is on the roof after they beat the Knicks by blowout last game, so I think they'll likely take the win. Currently the Knicks are -2.5, but this is already game 5, they might face the fatigue as they are undermanned and have not been using their bench effectively.

But it this game was taken over by Jalen Brunson and a whole team effort from the others, specially Isaiah Hartenstein who grabbed 17 rebounds. And so even if they are fatigued, it's their homecourt, with some of the Knicks great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNCbwhP-raY

So there's no way for the Knicks to lose this one in their homecourt. And good for those who bet even higher handicap=higher odd wins. Congrats.

Too bad folks like us who believed that the Pacers would be good enough to bring the momentum they had in game 4 at Indiana tonight, but Haliburton's performance was way below average, I expected better from him. As most have already pointed out over the course of this series that he just like to stick to making and facilitating plays.

He doesn't get aggressive with scoring when he's not able to make plays or his teammates are having a tough time with finding the basket. Having just 9 field goal attempts is never going to win them games if his team aren't scoring, it would not even matter whether they're on home, If he attempts similar numbers or less in game 6, then I'm definitely sure that it will be a Knicks win in 6.

Haliburton   is not too selfish that's why he didn't carry the team. The scoring within the team is very much spread but it doesn't result in a win. I think they need to make an adjustment in game 6 so they'll bring this game to 7. I now have doubts if the Pacers have the killer instinct to be a champion because they are inconsistent sometimes. Well, I must say that these two teams are very well match up, so may the best team wins, and I think bettors just have to follow the trend, and with that said, it should be the pacers with the spread in game 6.

Yeah, I would agree that Haliburton is selfless which is good, but as a leader of a team there are time where you'd have to be Selfish in order to help your team mates win games, teams do find it difficult to score sometimes that's why you'll see teams like Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks thrive a lot because there are days when all Jokic or Doncic do is to create plays and gets double digits in assists, but they are days when either of them would need to do scoring independently while depending on there team mates to help with the defensive duties alone. Look Jalen Brunson for instance, he has been doing a vast majority of the scoring for his team not because he's selfish, but because when he doesn't score as much as a leaders it rubs off on his other teams mate or the team collectively.

I was able to get a win off the freebets from Sportsbet.io with @Jeremypwr's weekly competitions... That was from the Celtics vs Cavaliers game 4

---------------

Tonight's game are quite tricky for me and I don't know which teams to tail here, the pressure would indeed be on the New York Knicks again, to at least defend home court, while the Timberwolves' ego seem to have been deflated and I really don't know If they'll be able to respond on the road here again, since all 8 games between them and Denver Nuggets in the regular season and playoffs so far have all been won by the road team.

That been said, I like Pacers ML here for good value, and I'll be going with them...

After that underwhelming performance from the Knicks in game four, i'm thinking they'll make it up by winning today's game. The Pacers can keep it close because their bench players can always put up points while the Knicks depend on their starters to have a big game. Then again, something might be up with the Pacers because the Knicks are barely the favorites this time compared to the first two games.

I'm also on the Knicks because I doubt they'll underperform two games in a row and this looks like it could go to a game seven.

Currently the Knicks are -2.5, but this is already game 5, they might face the fatigue as they are undermanned and have not been using their bench effectively.

The contributions of OG from both offense and defense I very important though they are still favorite as they are playing at home but yes the fatigue and how the coach uses the bench is not favoring them,  it's game 5 and for sure Pacers will do everything to snatched this game and end the series at home,

there are adjustments that NYK needs to do here especially with the way the team will help Brunson they need to unload some so he can last till the end of the game, a team effort that will keep them protecting the home court advantage.

There's some help from his teammates also as DiVincenzo could be the best 2nd scorer, however it was really the bench points that has been the problem for the team as there's no many players could could really contribute.  Brunson struggled last game with 6/17 shooting, that was a very poor shooting of him and maybe also he was feeling something that is bothering him. Now, I am not sure if he can bounce back from a bad performance but I might take it easy and just watch the game first, if I see him struggling then I will be on live for the Pacers.

Game 4 - Dallas Mavericks - Oklahoma City Thunder - Dallas Mavericks (-1.5) OKC lacks outside defenders who can stop either Kyrie or Luka. Defense can win this game but Coach Kidd is so good at reading his opponent's plays. I am curious though at what adjustments the OKC will show tonight.

Seems everyone is on the Dallas after they won game 3 but since I have them on the series already, I will skip betting on them tonight. Instead, I'll be betting on the OKC but not to win, it's on their total score this game, as for my sportsbook, they are over/under 107.5, I took the over as I think they'll shoot better this time around and they'll get more attempts compared to the last game. Anyway, good luck to us, I'm okay with Dallas winning of course, but I'm hoping it will be a high scoring game so my OKC bet would win.
Even the Over 107.5 didn't hit. I took the total over and it also was not reached. They played really hard defense today and I think that's what cost our bets.

Game 4 - Cleveland Cavaliers - Boston Celtics - Cleveland Cavaliers (10.5) - Won!
Game 4 - Dallas Mavericks - Oklahoma City Thunder - Dallas Mavericks (-1.5) Lost!

I thought I am going to have a good day yesterday and I am expecting my props to win too but if they will play defense, the props will probably not be reached too. So, I lost more yesterday.

Later, 2 games.
Game 5 - New York Knicks - Indiana Pacers - Indiana Pacers ML Haliburton said something at the post game interview that made me bet for them today, the pressure is on the Knicks which I think is true.
Game 5 - Denver Nuggets - Minnesota Timberwolves - Denver Nuggets (-1.5) Time to change the perspective, they need this home win for their fans.

Good luck every one.

Today I see the teams I want to win are both underdogs, so I'm taking them with the spread and hoping for some close games.  Both will be on TNT tonight (soon to be a thing of the past) but I'll probably only catch the Timberwolves/Nuggets matchup, which if we're being honest is basically the NBA Finals as those are the 2 best teams in the league.  I'm glad it's all tied up at 2-2 as well, as I'd love to see that one go 7 games considering it is the best series we're going to see this postseason.

New York Knicks - Indiana Pacers
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Indiana Pacers (5.5)

Denver Nuggets - Minnesota Timberwolves
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Minnesota Timberwolves (6.5)

Odds
