I was in the impression that Mavs will take this game and put the pressure to Boston but it turned out that Boston is not willing to let this opportunity to pass again, ....

Boston has been in that situation before in past NBA Finals, where they were up 2-0 but then lost to the Warriors. Dallas couldn't make their usual shots, and that's the problem. The points coming from Kyrie and Luka weren't easy, unlike the Celtics, where everyone can score. They are good at passing the ball and rotating to defend Dallas's shooters.

Dallas just doesn't have the kind of defense that the Celtics have, and they are heavily reliant on Luka and Irving. Though both played well, it still resulted in the same outcome. They need more than that to win in their last chance in Game 4, but I doubt bettors would still trust them.

KP can rest all he wants because he is not needed anymore. I thought Dallas had the advantage when KP was out but they just could not stop the accurate 3 point shooting of Celtics. Again, that corner shots was deadly. Boston shoots 37% from beyond the arc and they made the timely shots that gave them a comfortable lead.

It's all I have been saying all along Celtics have way to many options to hurt any team, even when they are not playing distinctively well enough, they had a rough start from shooting behind the arc and trailed by as many as 13 points, but they still remain insight as they resulted make cut passes and going to rim a couple of times, although it was the 3 points shots that helped the get 21 points which they very close to blowing it if Doncic actually wasn't stupid to pick up 2 very quick personal foul that highly unnecessary.

I thought this would be a great series, but it's as though we are heading for a sweep here, and the Boston Celtics are still yet to lose a single game in the playoffs this year, that's an impressive stuff.

So, Celtics ML it is, for me!

I'm glad I backed the Boston Celtics here, might do the same for game 4 as well.

First, Congrats to that win!

I was in the impression that Mavs will take this game and put the pressure to Boston but it turned out that Boston is not willing to let this opportunity to pass again, Dallas manage to cut that huge leads but unable to snatch the game, almost but not enoug time to make that upset, I like how Boston play the game to be honest, Tatum and Brown managed to counter that offensive attack from Mavs star duos, Kyrie/Luka 62 points combined while Tatum/Brown got 61 points though it's the support from the entire group that Mavs still lacking unlike with Boston where the help can come from anyone inside, Luka and Kyrie are carrying the heavy loads.

The odds for stake is not that a lot for Dallas Mavericks and I'm expecting with the other bookies and providers too. However, I've already started these bets I've made for the past games that I am betting with them and so, still let's go Mavs!  Grin

I've cheered and bet for Mavs but I accept the result, 0-3 for the Mavs and Celtics is just too good. I'm still going to count on them for the game 4. Take it or leave, I've done my part for them but it seems that Celtics is the stronger team. With this standing, we all know that it's rare to see a team to have a comeback from a 0-3 deficit. So even I know for the last match that it might be the last, still, I am breathing with the Mavs.  Cheesy

We all thought that without KP, the advantage is there but Celtics is just too good. And if KP is healthy for the game 4, I don't think that the Celtics are going to let him just rest. They'd show no mercy as this is the most important series and game of their lives.

Did you consistently back the Celtics in the series so far?

If you did, you're on a winning streak because they have covered the spread in the last three games. Game 4 might be the same, as Dallas probably won't play with the same energy knowing they are about to be eliminated. So, it's likely going to be a blowout win by the Celtics. I think I'm riding with you on this one.

Good luck with your bet! I'm on the same side as you, but I took the spread at -2. I'm planning to double my bet if Dallas wins game 3 because I believe they'll be able to even the series in game 4. Isn't it exciting to see this series going down to a best of 3 after game 4? I think if that's what the fans want to see, the NBA will give it to us.

That's a great catch as I also believe that Dallas will do everything to protect the homecourt edge, and if ever that they will lose again the chance of wnning the title will be more harder, they need to win and bring that momentum back and who knows we might see that chance of seeing the series to a final game 7 do-or-die title game.
It turned out it wasn't.  Smiley

Dallas now down 0-3, this series is not over in paper but we know no team has ever come back from this deficit, so better at this early we already conceid as I'm sure Dallas won't be fighting this uphill battle anymore, they'll probably rest early than going back to Boston for game 5 which they'll likely loss again.

We'll also see the impact of the Celtics not having KP in game 3, as he is listed as questionable, but I believe he will be unlikely to play. The Celtics won't risk aggravating his injury now that they are up 2-0.

I guess Boston will take every consideration if possible to risk KP, he and Jrue are the key advantage giving Dallas that momentum will not be a good option, they will do everything to win as the title is now closer to happen.

So for Dallas, still time for them, but game 3 will definitely be crucial, it will be in their homecourt so they needed this win to get that momentum.

I'm going with Dallas at ML like at 1.75.

Unfortunately, the Dallas team make the game very hard for them by trying to do a catchup. They make a huge comeback down from 20+ and they were able to close the game. However, the Celtics has that one kick in themselves and Jaylen Brown have to bail them out in this game.

Very sad for the Dallas team, they had a good first half, but Luka has missing so many shots and then not that big help. Only Lively and PJ Washington scored in double digit besides Kyrie. Down 0-3 now, impossible for Dallas to recover.

Wasn't sure where to go tonight. Took Boston 0105.5 total, Dallas -5.5, and Dallas -3.5. All straight bets and likely win 1 lose 2 or lose 1 win 2. I don't think there's a shot at winning all 3. Would love to see Kyrie and Luka dominate in front of the home crowd. Guess we shall see in 20 mins. GL everyone.

Porzingas ruled out, Mavs love that.

Nearing the midway point of the 3rd quarter, not loving anything except maybe the Boston o105.5, even that is iffy currently.

No Porzingis ? No Problem says the Celtics, they're currently 15 points ahead going into the 4th Quarter.

I don't see the Dallas Mavericks turn this around within 12 minutes, except of course they can start the quarter brilliant and get stops consistently defensively, maybe they should force Celtics to take some 3 with the hope they miss, but at that too they can't afford to give up any second chance opportunity to Celtics.
Mavs got it to within 1 in the 4th went on a 22-2 run or something crazy. Looked like a game til Luka fouled out and then you kind of knew it was game over.

Like I thought though 1 win 2 losses on my bets. Boston will take the crown this year, no way Dallas wins 4 in a row.

My heart wants to take the Mavs today, but the Celtics' match-winner odds are too good to be this high. Still, I don't mind if the Mavs win today since I prefer this final to go all the way.

@ralle14.. sorry mate, you loss on the 0.5
It's all good, I paid the price for being a bit greedy as I took the closing spread that was one point higher than the opening spread.  Lips sealed

Dallas at home and favored by 3.5.  Thought I'd be going Celtics but with porzingas out I feel like Dallas knows this is a must win (not that they all arent).  Threw in a small bet on Dallas.  But my bigger bet comes with the under 214.5.  Both first games hit the under and with porzingas out I expect the same to hit.  Be something like a 105-98 type of game.  Hopefully Dallas can extend it.  Enjoy the game and good luck everyone!

While I'd like the Dallas to win the game to make the series interesting, I'd be having my bet on Boston Celtics tonight, It's understandable that Celtics are the underdogs tonight and also KP have been ruled out for the game, I still think the Odds has underrated the Celtics quite much, due to how they've won most of the matches in this playoffs without Porzingis. I'm expecting them to still be able to find the answers to taming the Mavs in Dallas as well tonight.

So, Celtics ML it is, for me!

Why not take the spread instead? If we truly believe that Dallas is going to win, then it should be a convincing one. They won't give the Celtics a chance to make it a close game, as they might choke, although they are good in clutch moments, especially Luka. Dallas just needs one win to awaken their confidence. It seems like they are hesitant and too reliant on Luka. Where was the ball movement that we saw during the WCF?
I am believing that they're going to win this time and that's why even if they've got me lost two straight wins. I don't mind them because I know that this is going to be theirs. Waiting for them to tie the series at 2-2 but before that happens, we need to see them win first a game and make it a 2-1. It's so hard to see on our eyes that they're on a 0-2 run against the Celtics. But who knows, the two games have been seen that they're able to improve and that's why despite that they've got that standing as of now, many are still believing on them that they'd do.

I don't like the odds, I don't like the spreads. Bookies should stick with Dallas as underdogs. Why? Because I will still bet for it.
I was expecting that because it's already a 2-0, the Mavs should be given that odds as underdogs but maybe the homecourt advantage does have a factor.

It's Time! Oh sorry, this ain't UFC.  Cheesy
NBA is so damn long that you can do some damn things like that.

I don't like the odds, I don't like the spreads. Bookies should stick with Dallas as underdogs. Why? Because I will still bet for it.
Not recommended picks. But here they are.

Dallas Mavericks - Boston Celtics - Dallas Mavericks (-3.5)

Many do believe that they will be swept. Not me. Even if it goes 3-0, the series ain't over yet.
There will be adjustments and I saw Coach Kidd made some adjustments in Game 2 and Luka's stats is the proof of that. More assists means he is distributing the ball well. They just need to be better on the defensive end.

Good luck everyone.

For Mavs fans putting money for them will not be a hard decision to make, chances to win and cover the handicap may take place, it's a matter of game executions.
Bettors that are also Mavs fans won't mind about losing by placing a bet on them again. This time, it's gonna be the game 3 and more hopes are being placed on them to win on their home.

While the impressive straight two wins are there for the Celtics, the series hasn't ended yet and as long as the series haven't ended yet. There's more to go.

I'm not trying to mock anyone but it's funny when I've seen someone said Mavs @ 6. Possible for straight four wins.

I don't think that it's not that hard though, I mean Mavs is the favorite to win now and so as fans you will likely to bet on your team to win and avoid a sweep. Obviously, jobs not done here by the Celtics, they have similar advantage if I'm not mistaken against the Warriors in 2022 and they are leading until the Warriors get back and win the next couple of games.

So for Dallas, still time for them, but game 3 will definitely be crucial, it will be in their homecourt so they needed this win to get that momentum.

I'm going with Dallas at ML like at 1.75.
