I lose my bet on the Celtics, so I'm officially 0-1 in the regular season.

Okay, let's bounce back with my 2nd pick of this season.

Game : Phoenix Suns vs Sacramento Kings.

My pick is Sacramento Kings +3.5

I lost my bet on the Celtics, and just like @morvillz7z said beforehand KD and Kyrie were just too much for the Celtics...

I was actually able to get one better on Lakers vs Mavericks, but that was a very lucky escape with my Lebron's selection, though

Net's is now a real threat, they have already won 2 in a row and they are winning by a huge margin. It seems like the chemistry of Irving and Durant is blending well, they are now the best duo in the NBA, so I think I won't back against them in their succeeding games.

Oh c'mon.
3rd losing streak.

Just a little more push from Heat vs Pelicans and I could've won it.  Cry
I can relate to this  Grin but if we don't bet then there is no excitement when we were watching games.

How about tailing some of the experts here, you will know if you are following this thread. It's good to have our own speculations but not everything will go as what we wanted to happen so it's sometimes better to tail those who have a winning streak, just like what i did.
Yeah, that's true.
Sometimes I combine their speculations with mine for a better winning chance.

Im happy the NBA is back, but also kind of worrysome!
The sports that I love to bet but always seems super intense in the last couple of minutes when youre on a spread or total.
Last season was a losing one for me, hoping for a better one this season.  Grin

I have placed a couple of bets but not over christmas.
Im on vacation, but it sure does seem like. So I cant do any research and therefore have not placed any bets. I wont until next year probably.
How have you been doing?

The intenseness is the thrilling part of gambling, but a nice easy win is nice too. Haha

Time to start betting, worries or fears are normal in sports betting as we are just predicting the outcome of the game. Maybe try to learn how to control your emotion so you'll be able to gamble with fun. Games are really intense, there are close games also, so you have to accept that, watch the game enjoy whatever the outcome is.

Have you place your bet this season already?

Miami Heat currently closing it out against Pelicans, now in the 4th.

Nice win by the Heat here. Still the same squad who really distribute the ball very well, I was wondering why they are only -3 against the Pelicans. Was Pelicans here overrated? Watching the Boston and the Nets now, I'm liking the action as the game is really close, this is the best game thus far today.

Miami Heat currently closing it out against Pelicans, now in the 4th.

1 out of 2 on my first bets of the day, Ingram easily covered his 22.5 pts spread, finishing with 28 but a brutal start of the second quarter for NO (4-23) messed up my second one, even though they were within 7 in the 4th, it was just too much, Heat bench (almost 50pts) completely dominated Pels, nothing out of JJ.

So my pick is Boston +3.
I'll be tailing you on this one, I totally underestimated Boston in the opening game, but never again  Cool

Am i the only one thinking Nets gonna cover without much hassle? I watched both preseason games and the win over Warriors, and they looked great, not to mention that one of the preseason games was against Celtics and they blew them out of the building 113-89. I'm not saying it's going to happen again, but boy KD and Kyrie played exceptionally well, Nets just have way too many options on offense, plenty of ballhandling and 3pt shooters, and a super deep bench on top of that. I have Nets FH/FT  Smiley

i need just one corner spot-up 3pt from Oubre....please  Cheesy (edit; 0-6 vs. Nets and 0-5 today, cmon man)

Damn! Sorry man! Looking at how early other selections hit, you should have nailed that bet  Sad

It was a total blowout win for Bucks, things aren't get any better for Warriors even with Curry fully fit...

I didn't follow the preseason games at all, so I don't know which team is hot and which team isn't hence my easy choice of following picks, and @Stadus isn't just "any pick", Celtics vs Bucks were pretty solid and I've not seen the Net play with KD and Kyrie.

I might be putting another bucks on the Over btw

Thank you for noticing the thread title, I have already changed it to the correct season.  Grin

Tomorrow's Pick..

Boston Celtics vs Brooklyn Nets.

I'm with the home team here, both teams have won their previous game but Boston had a tough match up so I trust them to win or at least cover the spread in this game. Nets for me still has a lot to prove, one game is not enough but this Boston Celtics team is built through time.

So my pick is Boston +3.

Miami already take this one from Pelicans, good ball rotations and trusting all players inside the court is the key factor to win it.

I was thinking that Pelicans will able to snatch it out as they are really palying aggressively especially Ingram and Williamson but not enough to beat the cool and easy Miami.

Boston handicap is very tempting, I'll check it out during the live game, best of luck guys!

?  There are a bunch of games on Christmas day.  Are you saying this is what they should do?  Christmas day has always been a traditional nba day for some marquee games to be played.

Per schedule, there's no scheduled game in December 24, 2020 and that is today which is 25 in my timezone, so no Christmas games for me and to fans with the same timezone as me, but in the US there are games in Christmas day.

You can read the Christmas day schedule ; https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/wizards/2020-nba-christmas-schedule

Thanks, Russell for clearing that.
It's a timezone issue especially when you are using a VPN.  Cheesy
Sorry about that.

For wheelz, I didn't say that is what they should do. But because it is a different environment now maybe NBA management is also changing something.
But that is my error since there are games for Christmas day.
3 bets for over and under. Still not ready to bet for teams.  Cheesy

I think that is because there will be no fans, so no tickets will be sold.
Most of the teams don't want to host fans into their home games. But a few will. So ticket sales is not a big matter for most of them.

NBA will still survive even if there's no ticket sales, the advertisements and other factors will make the NBA survive and will remain profitable. However, our main concern here is to have some fan so as long as there are games, there are odds where we can bet on.  Grin

Agree, he might have forgotten to edit the thread title, this thread was created last Dec. 30, 2018, so I believe it was only edited once.

No worries.
stadus is always online so I bet he will change it anytime soon.
Yes, no worries. This isn't an important matter though but I've just noticed it when I came to this thread.  Smiley

He'll change it once he see it and gets online.

Something new. No games on Christmas day.

Better to just give the holiday to the players.

I noticed that the subject/title of the thread hasn't been changed yet. We're done with the 2019-2020 season and we're approaching to the latest which is the 2020-2021.

So I think stadus has forgotten to change it.  Tongue
