Interesting thread Xiao. I'm a big NBA fan and this thread prompted me to sign up for this forum.



I've heard people say this about the NBA betting. You seem to have a lot of experience. What sports would you think are the most profitable/easiest to bet on?

And then the NEXT possession, up 4 points, TOR miss, Tristant gets the rebound, but then gets it STOLEN, so no 2 freethrows again.  HAHA!

102-99 CAVS.  Need toronto miss and then cavs make free throws and it will cover or tie.

Gosh CAVS, why do you think you're all Hollywood not trying entire game and giving only 90-100% effort last 5 min?  If they gave 90% effort from the start, they'd be up 10-30 points right now.  TOR gave 100% effort from the get go.

I tried to evaluate all the predictions and yes my conclusion is the same - bad luck. But even bad luck has to end sooner or later. So more than enough time to kill that NBA  

Lebron has not tried the ENTIRE game.  FACT.  take this to overtime and blow them out, come on.

97-97 tied.... if they had just played 2% harder ... they'd be up 15 points by now.

I know I can beat the NBA.  Only 4 days into it.  Vig has already taken up 10% of 20+ games, so vig is ~2.0.  I'm just getting incredibly unlucky so far in December.

Plus this stupid game CAV vs TOR.  CAV is barely even trying.  You'd think they'd try harder since it is against a tough opponent.  They're probably going to win it, but not cover.  It is 97-92 TOR right now.  

I've got about 1000000 units on Cavs right now -5.

But a serious note now: I read all the messages in the mail and I can tell to all the people that read this thread that Xia puts a lot of work to doing all of this. He knows a lot of NBA and basketball. So it also a learning experience for me. NBA is the only league that I can't make a profit. On all the other sports and leagues I do very well. But NBA is a pain for me. My last ~150 NBA predictions gave a break even, so it was waste of time for me.

I'm thinking about to start a service myself next year, but I underestimated all the energy that you need to run a service. The feeling that others following your predictions (with their money) can be stressful. So I need to think again. I like my health (quit smoking 2 years ago) and I hate stress.

Last day was unlucky. I watched most of the games and small but important differences - like for example a normal referee in the nuggets game - had made a profitable (or a better) day for us.

TOR shooting 68% from the field, that is not real.  It is pure luck.  Last night they should have lost to DEN, but shot like 65% from the field in 1st half again and got EVERY single call in favor of them.

This team is the most inflated team in the NBA.  They are not elite in anyway.  They will crash and burn, it's a matter of time.
