That is a fair comment and I will wait. The groups with less than one per cent of the stakes are small fish compared to those 30+ guys and what about those who know how to avoid the taint analysis ? That is where the focus should be.

What we are trying to find here are users that created many accounts to claim an unfair amount of stakes so I'll agree that fraudster is not the ideal term.
During registration people were encouraged to get other people into this as well and that's still cool. However there are cases where it's crystal clear that that's not what's behind the multiple buy-ins and those are the cases we're trying to find and refund. Also those "newcomsers" are supposed to be active as well. If someone bough 10 stakes and says they're all for his family and freinds then that's worthless for the movement if none of them are going to be active.

Like I said - don't waste time worrying until the refund list is done.

I think a lot of effort is being wasted by some of the 'fraudster chasers'. Firstly, that word 'fraudster' is being brandished around far too much.

Also, I dont know about the BTC accounts but do people here seriously think there are enough 'single only' NXT accounts to fill up all these stakes.

As soon as a Group appears they are instantly called FRAUDSTERS. But a big community doesnt grow just from 'singles'. Of course groups of people spring up too.In some cases it is obvious that NXT accounts have been used to introduce other people because it is far simpler and quicker to do it this way.You can not prove that small groups are all fraudsters and do you wish to expel some potentially good contributors?.

This thread is not an official list. The only remotely offical list is the one linked to in the inital post and even that is not final.
Once the list is completed this will be communicated and then everyone on that list will be able to make their case. Until that time there is no need to argue or trying to justify anything.

It's also worth mentioning that no rules are being changed or applied retroactively.

ok, then it might have been able to use to this last verification part:
give to it a group of names, eg.
and then it would have verified that they have connections.
That would have saved time

Maybe there is no time to make or even to use such feature.
But that would still be useful, if python code makes kind of quantitative selection, like it now does:
it counts which groups need to be checked.
I made visual selection by own eyes and memory from these "shapes":

That may have been enough for detecting the bigger groups, but still there may be some, which I haven't noticed; eg. if someone has been active rarely, it may lie everywhere in the data...

The data collector "project" started too late in this week, so I thought there is no time to another. Fortunately you had some spare time
 

I have the script running.  It is able to go through multiple pages of transactions for each user so it will take a few minutes.

I will print out groups of NEM registrants who gave NXT to more than 5 other users who also registered for NEM.
I have removed the exchange addresses, and it will be sorted.

Then we can check for groups that may have been missed in either list.

I noticed this.  I can remove those three.  Asides from those a lot of the groupings that have been discussed in this thread are reflected in the list of names I posted.  

There will be false positives, which means that my list is only a starting point and each group will need to be doublechecked like you are currently doing.

Hope the list of names I just posted helps some, even if it is just as a reference to double check things as you were saying.
