Best advice one could give.

I made some bad experiences with Yobit too, now I avoid all those small shady exchanges, I only use them if there is really no other way and I desperately want to buy.
In the case that you cant avoid it and need to buy there, than its wise to do it in small fractions of your money, its safer to do several trades: deposit, trade, withdraw, repeat until you have achieved your goal.

If you have a private key in plain format then you do not need the password.

If you have the wallet file then you have your private key in your wallet file encrypted
therefore you need the password to open it with the NanoWallet.

Make a new wallet with your private key, i really don´t see a problem here !
