Well basically minors are like that, they are very happy with something that can give them a sensation and a pleasant response, but it must be remembered not the sensation in gambling, but simple things that can make them smile. I think for them it is very unlikely to try gambling, logically they will not know how to gamble, how the game rotation system is there, although there is a chance of winning money but I think if they only see it it is very unlikely for them to try, although the chances are quite small for them to follow what their parents do but well you better avoid gambling around your child, the fear is that when they are very curious then often ask you and behind the scenes they might be able to find information from some social media maybe.

Lastly I think logically there is no way any parent would teach gambling to their child, even though they know that everyone has different luck but adults and children are very different in their thinking, so it's very worrying. And yeah it's best that you don't gamble in front of your children, and if you can you should also quit that activity, that's all I can think of.

You know what, your example has nothing to deal with gambling. It is all about parenting and education. This kid could have taken fathers card and buy candies. Then what would you say? Never eat candies in front of kids as they can get addicted and get diabetes when they grow up? Seems legit.

Or we should teach kids how hard money are earned, so that they would realize there are some amount of money that must be spend on food, some on utility bills, some on clothes, some on fun (like gambling for example).

You're both right. Children tend to imitate what their parents and the people around them do. If both parents and the people around them show inappropriate behavior, this will also be done by their children and carried over into adulthood, especially if there is no more attention from their parents. The easiest example we may have often encountered is parents who are too busy with smartphones. Their children see that they can do it too so they will borrow the smartphones of their parents or people nearby to try as their parents did. Moreover, if children see what their parents are doing, they try doing it with their friends.

I can actually relate to that. I have my kid and he has his own smart phone and I have observed that at their certain age, they have their own thing as well like playing Roblox and Minecraft. So I don’t worry whenever he sees me gambling on my smart phone, but as much as possible, I never open about gambling at his minor age. Probably when he’s at the legal age, if he really wants to explore about gambling, then as a parent I know I should be responsible to guide him and make him aware about the threats in gambling.

as I said before children do have a high curiosity and by seeing adults playing games called "gambling" maybe they will also do it but if it involves money I don't think it will be possible for them to do it because don't have money to carry out gambling activities like adults do.
However, over time children will understand the gambling game more and more until they become teenagers (17+). When they are teenagers, it is not impossible that they will do it because adolescence is a time when someone will grow up (searching for identity/naughty ) in the future their teenagers have enough money to be able to ask their parents for more money, so if parents don't supervise their children at all times, worried about the money could be used to gamble with this friends.

Totally, I think that a parent should be a person that someone you can look up to on things that would make someone a model citizen or a person that others look up to. And to see parents letting their children know and let them watch gamble is just a weird thing to do because as a parent, responsibilities change and a lot of stuff that you can usually do child-free should take a step back or even be removed altogether.

Agreed, during the childhood days they used to be curious to watch each and everything. Specifically they try each and everything we do. So, when they grow to the level of handling a smart device they might give a try. There are chances for this to happen. We should be careful with this kind of activities. Whether it is bedroom, living room, study room or whatever we should be very cautious with this. We shouldn't be the reason for our children to go into gambling. At some point if situation supports we should teach them good and bad about gambling same as we educate kids on good touch and bad touch.

The gambling will give some curiousity to the children who do watch of the gambling which was played by their parents.When the gamblers play in the continuous way in front of the children,surely build some excitement to their children.The gamblers should be responsible in the gambling,So he can play in the bed room.When the kids using the Hall for play,So the kids won't ask you to define the gambling played by the gamblers.If the kids as you again and again,you should team them.Or else the kids learn from other sources and get addicted to gambling.

Things that will avoid them to have that curiosity about it, I like that example as it's true, whenever kids see things that adult are doing they will be interested to know what is all about, we can't deny the fact that when we are playing we forget about things around us, we should be responsible in anyhow so we will not develop any potential idea that might trigger that interest with the kids.

And yes, in case they still drive to that activity, talking and guiding them with the right sets of ideas will give them direction that will allow them to stop.

On the time that we do have our own family or simply that being a mature adult then its impossible that you wont really be that aware on whats good and whats bad. How much more if you do have already your own family and have children which we know that gambling is really that risky and something that children shouldnt really be that be able to see or been aware. If you are that someone who do love gambling and cant really just resist
on playing then it would really be just that responsible that you should really be that playing in out of your children's sight or awareness on which it would really the right thing to be done so that you would really be avoid to avoid those kind of dealing or secret activity on which your children might do because of curiosity. If ever you have seen that your children do make out some involvement with gambling without you knowing
then it would be always ideal that you should really be teaching them and as a parent then it is really that your responsibility on doing so.

In my case, then even into my wife on which i dont really tend to let them watch on having my gambling sessions, not only on the essence that they might be getting addicted
but rather im really just that avoided for me to get scolded basing up on the money that you are spending. 

This happens because of the loss of awareness and also positive thinking about the future of the family he has built and from cases like this it should be lesson for all of us that gambling does have quite significant negative impact.
But here I can't stop thinking because from the case you told about that the boy was willing to kill his father and sell the car he owned for gambling purposes this is story that is truly beyond reason because how can child kill his father for the sake of gambling?
And there is one thing that is worrying here about their age they were taught to gamble from the age of 5 and he said that they were taught by their father which means that it was done on purpose from the start and this is ridiculous because a father taught his children to gamble from the age of 5 year.
Imagine how child can learn about gambling from the age of 5 when at this age it is quite a funny age where they prefer games like robots or cars.

Kids see adults as an example, so whenever kids see adult do things, it will be inculcated to their minds that it is ok doing those things.  Like when kids see old people gamble, kids will think that gambling is a normal activity for people.  So if we want our kids to not get engage in gambling in their younger years, then we must do all we can to prevent them from seeing us engaging in gambling activities.  And if they do, we must conduct a communication telling them that they can do such things when they are in the right age.

Many people have destroyed their home by gambling in the front of their kids because, they think their kids will not do such a thing when they grow up in the future. Something like this happened close to one police station in my area that made the police men to arrested the two boys for selling their father only car and still killed him just to use the money to gamble, and one police man asked the guys who thought them gambling and what age they started developing this interest of gambling, the guys responded that their father started teaching them gambling at the age of 5 years, and sometimes when he lose from the gambling he will not be happy with them and their mother and when he win there will be happiness in the home. I didn't said gambling is bad, but don't gamble in front of your wife or children so that you will not be surprise seeing them gambling when you are still alive.

I mean with this incident, kids don't realize how much money they are spending. Spending 20 lakh rupees on just one game is not normal. No adult  would do that. At the same time, when this kid gambles, even if he loses, it won't be a big deal to him. Because he does not know the pain of earning money. He is also unaware of the value of money. He will continue to gamble and lose everything. When you or I gamble we always have a limitation. We never spend money beyond a certain amount. But no kid would do that. This is what I wanted to understand. And so I think gambling matters should be kept hidden from children.

A parent that does this should be ashamed of himself because he's not teaching the child or children something he's deliberate about, one thing about children and how they learn is that, they are more very attractive to some personal behavioural characters they see the parents do even without them being told to do thesame, they learn from those behaviors unconsciously and when we are gambling in front of the children, we are passing a message to them at our unaware foolishness and the children are receiving such, these are the same way bad environment do creates a negative influence over the children as they were being exposed to it.

We should start to worry when we would see such cases "kid in India spent fathers money" daily. Right this is just 1 case per month or even more rare. And how this case is connected with gambling addiction? Not always online game is a game on a gambling page. This might be just a MMORPG where kids make in-game purchases, by spending parents money on accessories, clothes, pets or boost.

Firstly, children are not aware of spending money. They don't know how to earn money. And how hard it is to make money. All the hobbies of a child from a wealthy family are fulfilled by his parents. And so this child does not understand what lack is. I saw on the news about a kid from India. Who spent around 20 lakh rupees on his father's credit card while playing an online game. And it finds out its bile after several days. And so if children are aware of gambling then such accidents can happen. So we should always be careful. No child should be given more money than necessary. Also one should never gamble in front of children.

You know why else there will be no much effect? Because we adults, gamble if not for fun, then for money. Children at 7-10 or any kid that is not a teenager during puberty does not care about money. At that age their money problems are solved by adults. I doubt that there are any kid at 10yo that thinks that he should throw in 10-20 bucks into a slot machine to make a hundred to buy sweets. Or even if such kids have money from BD presents or Xmas, they dont know how to spend it. That is why "kids that see adults gambling will become addicted gamblers" wont work.

Kid are known to be very good in learning fast and doing exact things that adults do in front of them whenever they're away from adult's supervision and that's why it's absolutely unwise of anyone to gamble in front of kids as it's likely to make them end up as gambling addicts in the future.
Adults who are involved in gambling do get involved in purpose and knows the consequences of excessively getting involved in it but kids will do it because they saw an adult doing it abd before they realize the effects of gambling, it'll be too late to control.

Yes you are right that mate minors have higher curiousity than older ones and  we can not deny the fact that once they saw a game or let say once they saw their siblings it even their father gamble then for sure out of curiosity they will try to gamble . So it's a bad habit when parents will gamble in front of their children cause for sure they will regret it in the future cause there's a chance that their children will become a gamblers.
