Kids will be busy for whole evening and wont even come to table to look what you are doing.

At first glance this seems like it will work, but what about the parents' activities? playing cards? gambling online? Even though other gamblers bring their children, I am sure that the child will still pay attention to his parents, and then sometimes he will approach his parents just for ask something or come because he is curious about his parents' activities. There is a time where children get bored playing with other, if it happens will definitely cane be a times when the child will start to disturb their parents who are playing cards or gambling in other ways. and it will possible he will seeing his parents playing gamble.

Except that the father is serious in chasing away the child to meet up with other children to play with them, the children always do come back to have look on what the father is doing with the phone getting busy with it. Children that reach a certain age want to follow in everything the father do and this is difficult not allowing them with you because they will cry. If the father is not discipline to avoid the child having knowledge of what he is doing online, the children will learn it because they are fast to learn in what they see.

I'm tempted to ask what our response will be when we are gambling and our kinds come to ask what we are doing.  Do we lie to them or tell them the truth. At a certain age children become so inquisitive that they ask questions virtually in everything they see us do.
If the child is not of legal age to engage in gambling, provide a responsible response. Never offer answers that may have detrimental effects on them, as they represent the potential future generation. If necessary, you can steer the conversation towards safer topics for them.

Even though a child can search for answers online, our ethics as gamblers should underline that participation should be by one's own volition, not through invitations. The purpose of gambling is not to seek income as a side job, but to alleviate stress and provide entertainment. While gambling may carry its own moral implications, at the very least, refrain from introducing children to the world of gambling when they are not yet of legal age.

I'm tempted to ask what our response will be when we are gambling and our kinds come to ask what we are doing.  Do we lie to them or tell them the truth. At a certain age children become so inquisitive that they ask questions virtually in everything they see us do.
Tell half the truth. Daddy is playing. That's it. It's just a game. Don't tell them you are putting money into your game because that will change the definition of it. Kids today do understand how game works and casino games just look like games in their eyes too. If they find it boring they would not even ask the same question again.
But, it's still better if they won't see us doing it. I am playing in the living room but I do try to hide it as always or just keep the kids busy first whether it's watching television or their busy with their smartphones.
Because there's a chance they will bump into the same game you are playing in some advertisements and you won't like explaining things to a kid because their questions are unstoppable and we cannot just shut them up or else they will pursue to find whatever game we are playing.
The other way to prevent them from gambling is to not let them handle money. I give my firstborn money that is just enough in case something really bad happens like he forgot his food or he gets so thirsty in school. But that never happened yet and he is saving all the money I gave in his piggy bank.

Or just keep kids busy with something else, and they wont be so much interesting in sitting with adults and watching them play. There are few ways adults gamble - using gadgets, then you are so much against kids watching, just swipe app or alt+tab the page. If you gamble IRL, lets say around the table, then invite other gamblers that have kids also. Kids will be busy for whole evening and wont even come to table to look what you are doing.
When you are using up or playing on mobile then you could really easy minimize if ever your children would really be tending to look at on what you have doing or even not, just still that ideal that as much as possible you should really be that avoiding on letting them see that you are into gambling.Just like on what others been saying that whatever things you've been doing will really be that always right and correct into their eyes on which means that if they do able to see that you are really that indeed engaging with gambling then they would likely to be doing the same just because they have
seen it that their parents is doing it.On the time that addiction shackles in, then it would really be that already hard to overcome and as a parent you would really be noticing out if ever they
would really be that always in need of funds or something to those payments which you dont know if its real or not.

Never ever consider yourself on playing gambling in front of them as much as possible if you dont really like some problems because letting them getting involved
with gambling is never been that good honestly.

If you have that chance or because of your obligation it's the best way not to let your kids see you playing, gambling is dangerous if by chance your kids watch you and learn things from observing you while playing the game, kids nowadays are pretty smart and with that easy access with the internet it won't surprise me if they will learn how to play the game and manage to use their parents account without any notice if being left unattended.

You need to account yourself as responsible since those young minds still relying to what things they are learning from watching you, keeping them away is not just helping them in this present time but most on the future as they will not be interested into something that they don't have any idea on it.

Hey gamblers' community, hope you're all doing great.
I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

There is one quote that says that children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them. I never agree with the fact that gambling is a bad thing, but addiction is, so be responsible gamblers, teach them about how the gambling world works, and never leave them curious. If you think gambling should be avoided by kids, then you are free to do that. In my opinion, if kids learn about gambling from you, then you are responsible for explaining. And always keep in mind that children learn from our actions, so be a good role model for them.

These kind of parents aren't the kind of parents that don't deserve to have a children, parents that are on the phone most of the time are the kind that would raise childrens that will find attention no matter the cost. And with such neglectful parents then there's a big chance that the children's going to have a bad moral compass since being neglectful means that they're not properly guided and with little to no guidance they will be easily influenced into trying gambling at an early age although it's going to happen at a later age though when the need for attention becomes something that's in subconscious.
Children will be affected by what their parents do so they will need better guidance. They are too busy with their own affairs that they forget to guide their children and their children grow and develop without getting love from their parents. This has happened to many children so those who lack parental love become uncontrolled in their relationships. This triggers many juvenile delinquency cases in many places, not to mention if these children are involved in illegal things that their parents will never know about. Maybe the parents will find out after the authorities arrest their children but it will be too late to realize because the children don't trust their parents anymore. However, this requires a lot of effort from the parents to prove that they are truly sorry and want to make things right.

I believe there are certain restrictions to what a child should be seeing you do as a parent, where else you know that your child is very inquisitive and always wanting to learn, do not let him find out. In a case where your child ask what you are doing, you tell him the truth but if you do not want him to get involved tell him all about the risk and the bitter part of it that should scare him from gambling

We are just ordinary people, sometimes we can be careless and in the end our children see us playing something on our cell phones. When they ask, it's best to say that it's just a game that children shouldn't play because it will make them crazy or something scary for children. But it's best to immediately close the cell phone because if it continues to be played, the child will feel unsure that it is dangerous.

The point is to explain as you explain it correctly, slowly because only you know your child's character so your child can understand and only you know how to explain it correctly, that is something that is prohibited for minors, let alone children, there are many reasons. which might make more sense and could even make children not want to touch it.

Children are very smart because when they notice you are hiding something from them, they become more curious to know what you don't want them to see and moreover there are times when we are too concentrated to our cell phones that someone might be talking to you but your mind will not be there to know what they're saying so you know children likes to ask questions so a scenario whereby your child is talking to you and you ain't given them responses due to the fact that you're deep in thoughts with your cell phones they would be curious to see what has taken your attention from them.

The best way is to be discipline, don't play online games when your children are around or bringing out bet slips you've staked through a betting agent while your children are around. It is good for us to know that a child being aware of gambling activities at a very early or tender age is very bad as this child may grow up developing all their time and passion for gambling which is not a good habit.

I see families where the father is a gambler, the children are also gamblers and they all devoted their time and money on gambling to the extent that they sometimes even reason together about events they want to stake on and as time goes on they all became addicts, no body to advise the other person and they keep on lavishing their money on gambling without making any head way.

It is normal to a kid asking what are their parents doing in front of their devices, it's their curiosity that why parents should know their responsibilities. Parents should check their children's social accounts as well because gambling products and opportunities is more accessible now than before, children are getting the ideas from the advertising or by hearing some words from the adults so one way to avoid normalizing gambling is to set the example to your children by not gambling yourself or at least do not gambling in front of them. Be aware that kids are being exposed to gambling through advertisement so it's better to start a conversation with them and discuss the risk associated with gambling.

It’s very hard to check every activity they are doing now that smartphones is very common and it’s easy to browse this kind content by just browsing on the news feed. I think it’s better to educate them earlier on what to avoid so that you can implant a warning message on their mind before their curiosity makes them do their own research towards gambling.

It’s way harder to restrict children nowadays compared before because technology makes everything very handy even accessing website that was supposed for adult by just clicking the yes button when ask if you are a legal age for a mature content website.
Yes, as I said, monitoring the usage of and their activities with their smartphone is a must. Educating them is not enough because their curiosity will surely get to them. Kids must be monitored and supervised every time to prevent them from accessing any gambling activities. This way, chances for them to gamble at an early age will be lower. They will be able to enjoy being a kid for a longer time than to be exposed to this kind of activity.

When it happens that they see something that we don't know, they will be curious about it, but if a parent explains it properly to the children, I think it will be planted in their minds that it is not good for children like them. .

Parenting could never be perfect on which case there are really moments on which you would really be able to make yourself that be missed out and letting your kids do able to see on what you are been involved into. Its really just that right that you should really be making them aware on what are the things you've been doing and telling about the risks. It could neither be effective or not but it would be always that best on making out those kind of advises and guidance considering that young minds are really that curious when it comes to things that they havent been able to encounter before.
When curiosity do kicks in then it would really be that hard for you to be able to stop your kids on hiding up something on what they would gonna do.

This is why it would really be always important that you should really be mindful when it comes to your actions because if you dont then they might really be
involving into something which you wont really be able to know until there would really be some results or outcomes that you might be able to notice earlier on.

A parent is responsible for any misbehavior of the children whether good or bad. We need to make sure that we teach our children what they ought to know or they will learn it outside in our back. Most children tend to learn 60% of what their parents do not teach them out of there families. This is why we need to educate our children and adolescents on how to be very careful in some certain things especially in gambling because the world is moving very fast. Children can learn very fast so we need to make sure that we teach the major things they ought to know.
It's always advisable to do the right and legit business infront of our kids. Children are the best gifts from God and we ought to take very good care of them in whatever activities we anticipate in. Gambling is a whole different activity that I keep discreet from my children, how will they look at me when I'm gambling and making losses, ofcourse everything will be messed up for me. We are held to certain important responsibilities as parents. We tend to take good care of our kids especially during growing stage, because they're open and very fast in learning things they usually see everyday.

       -   Maybe it's okay for the parent to show the appearance of gambling apps to the child, as long as it is properly explained what is not good for minors when the child does it. Because if we don't show it to them, they won't know, and it's possible that they know what we don't know.

When it happens that they see something that we don't know, they will be curious about it, but if a parent explains it properly to the children, I think it will be planted in their minds that it is not good for children like them. .

The easiest example we may have often encountered is parents who are too busy with smartphones. Their children see that they can do it too so they will borrow the smartphones of their parents or people nearby to try as their parents did. Moreover, if children see what their parents are doing, they try doing it with their friends.

Kids who has that full respect with their parents will follow that instructions, having that guidance that they will follow and respect prevent children in doing unnecessary things over the internet, I think curiosity which most of the time push the kids to explore can be prevented if the parents have that time to explain and to monitor whatever the kids are doing especially that online access really gives them more freedom to explore.
Their parents can help a child's curiosity by explaining it well so that they don't find out incorrectly. This is to prevent them from getting information that may not be appropriate for their age so that with the help of their parents, children can get the correct information. Usually, children who are close to their parents will invite their parents to discuss things they don't know yet, and this is the role of their parents in explaining these things. If everything goes well, children won't try to explore the internet to find out things they don't deserve.
