It doesn't take long to make money in gambling side by side doesn't take long for a gambler to lose a mountain of wealth. So in gambling patience is an important matter. Those who pursue the loss will lose all his assets. Children should never understand that their father gambles only to make money. Then they too may indulge in such gambling which should not be for the future. But I don't think children should be taken to gambling or casinos until they are mature. Until they get a good idea about it.
Just as gambling can make money in a very short period of time, there is also a chance of losing money in a very short period of time. What I think is that patience while gambling is a difficult thing that not all gamblers can do because of which they never make money.  And no matter what profit they make, they cannot keep it. When gambling, you have to gamble with your own thoughts. Most of the time, you have to keep your patience. But if we pay attention, we can see that now most of the time children under 18 years of age are addicted to gambling. They  Getting involved with gambling without understanding anything about gambling.
For this reason, if we want to gamble, we have to make sure that we don't gamble in front of our children so that they don't see and imitate what we do. We already know that many children under the age of 18 have started gambling and we have also seen what happens to them when they become addicted to gambling at a young age. We definitely don't want to see that happen to our children when they are adults so we have to make sure that they don't know about gambling. We also have to monitor and provide understanding when they start hanging out with their friends because the social interactions of today's children are very free and they can get information from many sources.

Children are like saplings. They grow in whichever direction you tilt them. I can understand if my children gamble when they grow up, because as adults they can make their own decisions, but I don't want to influence them and push them in that direction. That's why I never gamble when my children are with me. However, when they grow up, I will respect their preferences. I think a libertarian mindset in this regard will make my family happier.
It's true that it would be better if we didn't gambler in front of them, and it's true that when they grow up they will know what gambling is and it's possible that if they do the same thing as their parents did, it's true that they have their own path for their future, but it would be better if we give them a start or tell them that gambling has a bad impact on their future so that when they grow up they will understand what gambling is so they can avoid it.
If you are confused about telling them, just wait until they are teenagers, they will definitely understand it easily. This is very important for them to anticipate bad things that they will experience in the future.

Kids are fast learners, it's scary how fast they adapt to anything happening within their home or friends, this is why parents need to spend more time with their kids instead of their jobs, at a very young age, children focuses more on what's happening around them and they don't know what's right and what's wrong, this is why we need to monitor who our kids get involve with, be careful which friends comes close to them and also ask them questions about what they learn in school, some kids learn stuffs from their class mate that's been exposed to bad activities from their own parents.

There are few bad things I learned from my friend at school that I am not proud to say out in front of my parent, I know that we have smartphones today and some parents give their kids access to smartphones, which to me isn't cool, but before smartphones made it this far, before we have Java phones, kids still learn bad acts from their classmates.

Keep your eye focused on your children, they are very smart, teach them right from wrong so that when they grow older they will be smart enough to avoid some bad habits, gambling acts exposed to kids is like a burning factory full of dynamites.

Hey gamblers' community, hope you're all doing great.
I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.
Yes a child always learns everything from his parents.  So they will get used to them as their parents do in front of them.  So if a parent gambles in front of their children then the children may try to gamble as a result eventually those children will also be attracted to gambling and become addicted to gambling. Which will bring great danger in the life of that child.  So of course a parent should hide there gambling habit  from kids

Those people who are showing their kids their gambling activities are not good parents. Why are they allowing their children to see it? Because that is where they lead for sure they will become addicted to gambling and bring danger to the child.

There are really parents that are doing this and not caring for their children and as a result you've seen children beside the road doing gambling and it turns out those children will do bad things just to have money and be able to gamble again.

Even if you gamble, I really don't recommend that your child see or know that you gamble. They are not adults yet. They are still children. Don't give motivation to something that will damage them. It's the same as smoking or dating. Let them go through their childhood with normal child things. When they are adults, they can choose what path in life they want.

There are some negative aspects of gambling as emotions play an important role in gambling which is usually not controlled by kids. What we often discuss here is that an adult gambler often loses control over himself and cannot conduct gambling activities normally. In that case, if a minor or kids are attracted to gambling then there is a high possibility of serious damage by them. So it is better to keep children away from such places. Children should do whatever is necessary to increase their focus on these subjects as they grow. They must be kept away from gambling.

Agreed, no need of teaching them. They understand what we're doing and easily follow it. With electronic devices, far easy for them. The present generation is much into handling electronic devices. As said we shouldn't be the reason to deviate our kids towards something that is not good at this age. When they grow up its upto their understanding whether they need to be part of gambling or not. Even at that time we need to be a good teacher briefing them about the gold, bad, after effects and the risks it could bring to our financial life.
Kids learn by imitating what they see others doing, which in part explains all the funny things they do as they try to imitate what they see in a way that does not makes sense at all.

So if they see that a person they respect and admire like their parents gamble, drink or smoke then they will try to imitate those behaviors as well, and while people should be free to decide what to do with their life, there are behaviors in which people should not involve themselves until they are more mature.

In the first place, why would a parent show their child about gambling or you as a parent playing gambling? It only shows that you are an irresponsible parent. The effect of children seeing gambling games may vary depending on their age or cognitive capabilities. Let's say, for example, that a child is only 10 years old or younger. Their innocent mind would think that you're gambling; no, they don't even know gambling at that young age; they will think that you are just playing games, and because of that age, they have a strong curiosity to know what you are playing, and that is where it starts at a younger age that involves any kind of gambling. Here is an article discussing how children as young as 11 years old can gamble with the help of their own parents. Imagine that they tolerate their child's dangerous habit.

I think parents choose not to gamble in front of their children so that their children don't know about our gambling activities, because if they see us doing this there is a possibility that they will ask to play and we all know this is not very good for us. them, because we are adults, it is still very difficult to control ourselves in carrying out gambling activities, especially for those who don't understand what they are doing, children only think it is a game, maybe because with the cute pictures, the children will certainly like it. really agree with you that if we choose to gamble at home then it would be better for us to do it when the children are not with us.

The problem here is, that those children are not mature enough to handle things if they were offered some entertainment like when they get to some companies that will eventually lead them to gamble just like what the other kids had suffered in their early years because they have no idea of what they are doing especially those who lived in some 3rd world countries where gambling is like just some culture and they cannot really distinguish it from other hobbies because they thought it was some norm but in reality they are now a step away to becoming addicted to it and they are about to bring that habit up to when they get old.

It’s true, not all the children was good and emotionally balanced one.Mostly the children are imbalance in nature, because their are children with less knowledge and don’t know which is correct and which is wrong. So the gambler kindly avoid such things in front of your kids. Some will take the gambling as the serious one,it may leads to the gambling addiction on the kids. The gamblers can’t control the gambling addict to play the game even if that gambler is the close friend of the gambling addict. The kids may think this as the game and get addicted as like other game.If they use the credit cards of their parents,it may leads to accidental loss to the parents.

Children learn many things they see, hear or experience at a young age much faster than an adult. Although I have stated in many of my previous messages that gambling is a good or bad habit that varies from person to person, I can easily state that gambling will not be a good habit for children. I think that one should be more curious during the learning process that children should get used to many things more easily during this process and that gambling should definitely not be played in front of children considering the possibility of the child potentially becoming addicted. The child always accepts what family members do as correct and their personality begins to form in line with what they sees. For this reason, it is very important as a family member not to do anything that will encourage children to gamble.

Of course, due to their friends and various other factors many children may learn or even become addicted to gambling in the future. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to completely keep a person away from gambling. However, reducing the examples and chances that the child will potentially turn to gambling will be a huge and successful step in minimizing this situation.

They always follow what’s adult is doing and if you do gamble in front of them, most likely they will follow you as many Children think of their parents as a role model and we should be more responsible. Yes, whatever they want in the future we should support them but you know how risky gambling is and the effect of this if you are exposed. Gambling is not good in front of the Children, avoid doing this at all cost.

I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

Actually your kid saw it as a game for fun and not knowing something is actually at stake. Children are so innocent with free spirit and tha is why they do not suspect anything and they learn very fast because they came with a purr and nearly empty memory looking for something to fill.the memory.
Online gambling has made it so nice to gamble without the knowledge of the kinds and also of families and friends. Gam King shouldn't be what anyone do anytime or everytime but once it is time for gambling, take the kinds off the screen of your phone.

I think that most children get aware of gambling and truly understand what it is before they even reach the age of 18 or the legal gambling age which differ by country (18 yo in most countries). You can't prevent them from learning many stuff so a more effective approach is to educate them about the risks of gambling and its danger. If they choose to go for it and gamble after reaching the legal age, it's important to teach them to be responsible and how to not get addicted. Similar to alcohol, which is not prohibited in most countries once you reach the legal drinking age, beside that parents drinking beside their children normally, you can't forbid your children from drinking when they grow up as well. IMO the key is to guide them in the right way to ensure they don't develop harmful habits or engage in reckless behavior while gambling way better than just hide it and pray that they will never get involved.

Children are often more observant and smarter than we give them credit for, and they can develop negative attitudes towards activities if they see them being done irresponsibly. So if a parent is gambling badly with a bad behavior that can negatively impact your whole family causing your children to hate you and not hear your advices. It's also important to maintain a closer relationship with your children and monitor their activities to correct any wrong or harmful behaviors.I believe that children under 18 generally cant gamble as long as you keep a close eye on the money they spend, especially if you provide them with funds for that purpose. So in your case you need to teach more your daughter and why you are forbidding her from such an activity.

Gambling in the room away from our children sounds very good, but if your child tries to come into the room, isn't it better to turn off your PC or close your gambling session?
I think it's much better than you saying it's not good for children because you yourself said that children always imitate adults whether it's good or bad so as much as possible don't show your gambling games or gamble in the room after the child is sleeping or waiting for the child. we are outside the house.
As parents our children sees us as their number one heros and they believe strongly that anything we doing or say is what should be good for them that's why it's easy for them to imitate anything we do, and will also want to engage into anything they see us engaging in like the gambling we are discussing now. For the children seeing their parents gambling the message that rings in their head is that whereas dad or mum is playing it then it must be something really good also for me. Without knowing the implications they already accepted it's good for them because they see their parents doing it, that's why we should at all times avoid gambling in the presence of our children.

As a parents don't be deceived in thinking that they are kids they know nothing, no no no, they do know a little and that stage they are is the stage of learning and imbibing anything they see people around them doing. So be it gambling or any other activities that's not right for children to learn as parents we should keep off from their sight when doing so and this include smoking too.

So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

I remembered a thread with the title keeping gambling a secret. Well, this thread is one of the reasons why we try to keep the gambling we do private, especially for underage children. As far as I've experienced in gambling, I've never even intentionally shown anything I did to my child. in this case, it is gambling. not only does it have a negative impact on the growth of their minds. However, this will affect his psychology, especially in the long term.

However, not all children like games, even those that involve betting. and what is dangerous is, a child who is interested in what adults play, especially when it comes to gambling. maybe they won't do it if there is no opportunity, but when they start to grow a little older even though they are still young, they will probably be interested in gambling. I will not say that the child cannot gamble forever, but when he is old enough and mature enough and he is responsible for himself. Whatever he does, it is his will and choice, including gambling. However, when my child is still a minor, it is not recommended at all to show off the gambling we do in front of our children. In fact, I limit my child from playing with his smartphone.
