That's unethical you should only gamble in front of your kids if they are at the right age to understand what gambling is and what's not and why are you doing this, there's always a time for everything, and your kids will one day discover what gambling is but never in a young age.

You should show your kids at all times that gambling is entertainment, not something where you can double your money, and a platform where you can continue to make a lot of money because that's never the reality, and it's not what the casinos are preaching to their users.

We can not say that we can control ourselves and that the reason why theres a gambler gamble in front of thier children which pretty bad for us once we know that thier children is too young to involve in gambling  cause children is they can do something once they are curious cause they want to try what they saw. So it's a bad idea if we gamble in front of our kids .

I wonder if those card games that children play on old basic windows operating system before was once motivated those children to do gambling.

Card games?
I don't think those card games are being used in casino games for any purpose because those games were for fun.

In general, don't do anything you don't want your kids to try.
This includes getting drunk, smoking, taking drugs, swearing, being aggressive towards other people, fighting, abuse animals... Kids learn by imitating you so you can expect them to try all the things you do with their friends and other kids at school. You kick your dog, don't be amazed if a kid goes too far with it and beats a neighbor's dog to death.

You're correct. And as I already mentioned later, she was sleeping while I was gambling, but I don't know when she woke up and started watching me playing that game as it was late night. However, I believe that I should have played it somewhere else so that there would not have been any chance she would have noticed it. I'm taking utter care now whenever I gamble (I hardly do it nowadays so not an issue TBH).

Coming back to gambling, I wouldn't teach it to my child, as I don't want to be responsible if they start gambling at young age, but if they start on their own, I'll be there to help them be rational about it.

One should not gamble infront of the kids. Whenever we watch something in the mobile, kids used to come sit next to us and try to watch the mobile. What can be done, we need to stop watching it rather than saying the kid to go away and play. Same happens when we gamble using mobile or through any of the electronic devices. I used to gamble and sometimes my kid used to come closer to me. During those time I used to gamble faster few rolls and end up the session. At times this used to end with profit and most of the time it used to be losing. In such situation the urge continues, and I used to hide myself and try to recover the losses which is not the right way to gamble.

Obviously it is not recommended and maybe only stupid people are determined to do gambling in front of their children, I'm sure they already know that it's a very bad act but I don't know what the reason they do it in front of their children, even if there is a reason it certainly won't make sense to digest. Yes, that's right, as usually when we have free time with children during work holidays for example then things like that happen very often, they will approach us and see what we are doing for example with the cellphone that we are holding, they are very curious and want to see what we are looking at.

What you are doing is very good by speeding up the round to end gambling, winning or losing is secondary because we should always think about the interests of our children, how can we keep them from knowing what exactly we are doing in the cellphone, and well besides that, if indeed your money is still quite a lot in the online casino and does not allow you to quickly end the round then maybe there you can delay the gambling, give our children the opportunity to play with us while we still have free time for them, and you can continue later. It is honestly a very good and easy choice to do rather than you accept the negative impact that will be felt by your child someday.

Kids will surely be entertained on flashy games like slots and would probably watch you the entire gameplay. There are other games that kids can potentially be entertained this is why they will be attracted watching you. I'm sure the chance that they want to play it too is high, this is why we cannot let us be seen by kids playing on an online casino. It would be the triggering point of them to try gambling because of the curiosity we gave them.

I wonder if those card games that children play on old basic windows operating system before was once motivated those children to do gambling.

You may able to control yourself to not gamble in front of your kids, but can you know if your kids' friends are gamblers? can you know if gambling ads are everywhere in your kids' cellphones? this mean, you can't really control your kids and it's all depends on your kids.

Early education is a must, but when they're grow up, you need to accept their decision.
Many people are able to do good things because of friends and many people get involved in bad addictions because of friends. But parental awareness can go a long way in keeping their children safe. A child may forget something learned from friends.  But anything learned from parents cannot be passed on to a child. And this is why parents must refrain from gambling in front of their children. Otherwise, his children also will not hesitate to gamble

Every gambling and casino sites usually put a strict warning on the permitted legal age who should sign up on the site, this is because they know the possible effect it could have on under aged person who are yet to attend the legal gambling age as addiction maybe uncontrollable at that age, so it is advised strongly not to expose kids or or juveniles to gambling.

At that age of theirs most of them still stands to depend so much on their parents and guardians as they are yet to have a stable source of income for themselves as they are yet to attain legal working age in some countries or states/cities. Whenever they are craving to place a bet on a particular game because they feel will be a winner and they lack the funds to they may result to stealing for gambling.

Conclusively we should keep away any form thing that is suggestive of gambling or would expose them to gambling too early because if the realise they could make money from gambling they may result to getting addicted and using it as a source of income which can cause laziness to set in on a long run and may not be willing to want to get a job when they finally attain the age to work because they will think they can always make the money from gambling.

Gambling corrupts the mind of young people so we as parents should never let them see us gamble because there is power in emulation, they might think that the money that you sustain are coming from gambling, so they will try it out and see if they can also make money from what you're doing.
Don't let them know that you're into gambling and if they come to the right age let them understand that you're gambling for pure fun not to make money to sustain the needs of the family.

Gambling for minors is very dangerous, they cannot be responsible when gambling, besides that they also do not have a job and a steady income so it will be a serious problem if they gamble. However, if your children are old enough, it is best to educate them about the responsibilities of gambling, explain that gambling is not a way to earn money, and tell them about the dangers of gambling addiction, so that they can really know what gambling is and what the dangers of gambling are.

If they don't have a stable income and yet they are addicted to gambling, the worst thing that could happen is that they will steal money from their parents. As parents, we don't want to see that happen, as those who are not matured and get addicted might face a more serious problem. Therefore, we should ensure that they are prevented from gambling. It all starts at home, as they say; parents are meant to discipline their kids because if they do not, they will become a problem in society. I'm emphasizing this because gambling addiction will not only affect the life of the addicted gambler themselves but also the people around them.

Gambling indeed is not for the children or someone who doesn't have an income of their own. It is also not for the people who can't control their emotions.
Gambling strictly is a sport of responsible adult. And it's wise to devoid the kids of any experience about gambling.
There are slot machines in some gaming corners which could build the curiosity of gambling to the children and another place where parents should be aware is of online gaming. There are multiple gaming apps that provide free tokens for gambling and ask for money if they want more tokens. This may lead to your child using your money without authorization.

It's fine if they see what we're doing because no matter what we do, they will still be able to discover gambling in the future. What important is we are enlightening them about the risk of gambling and remind them that it isn't for kids and it's just for adult who knows how to deal with its risks. It's better to enlighten and guide them than to hide everything from them because when they become curious about gambling, they might try it out since they aren't aware of it's risks.
As parents, it is our responsibility to guide our kids with the right and wrong. Hiding them everything will only left their questions unanswered.

Education from an early age is certainly needed and it will be a warning when they grow up. I am also a parent and I will also teach my children what is right and what is wrong. But when they get older, gambling can be played by anyone. The most important thing is how they can control the gambling they do so that it does not have a negative effect on their lives and economy. Find many gamblers who have a bad life when gambling is the reason, it is because they do not have any control or warning about what lines should not be crossed

Of course, you should never gamble in front of your kids especially if they are minors. Remember, on that span of age, kids learn through observations and modeling. So, most of the time, they tend to imitate the actions they see on adults. Therefore, as adults we should be responsible and careful on what behaviors and actions we should project in front of our kids because they easily adapt behaviors from what they observed. I wonder what actions can be done if ever your child caught you engaging in gambling activities. Is it better if you tell them what gambling really is for them to be educated and know that this is not appropriate for their age. Or is it better if you lie to them, and not directly tell them what gambling is?

Hey gamblers' community, hope you're all doing great.
I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

Right, as parents who shouldn't be showing gambling to our kids. Although my kids are at proper age, but still though, I don't want them to be exposed to gambling as I once did when I was young and so I don't show them my gambling activity but because they are mature enough, then know that I'm into gambling.

Nevertheless, I told them not to gamble in their life and don't be like me at that age wherein I was really hook in gambling already. Good thing is that they listen to me and just take care of their careers right now.

Yes a child always learns everything from his parents.  So they will get used to them as their parents do in front of them.  So if a parent gambles in front of their children then the children may try to gamble as a result eventually those children will also be attracted to gambling and become addicted to gambling. Which will bring great danger in the life of that child.  So of course a parent should hide there gambling habit  from kids
I also agree with what you said. The child will think that it is okay to gamble because his
parents also gambling so there is no problem with that.
If your child learns to gamble at a young age, maybe something will happen to him
so you should never show your child that you gamble. You are the one who will guild
your child, not the one who will destroy it. Remember the other children admire their mom and dad so you should be careful with your action

They really learn fast but I don't think they see it as gambling money as we do unless you tell them that. Any game they play is just fun for them and that's probably how your kid think of it. I once saw a buddy of mine let his son play dice on mobile and he didn't find it alarming. The kid actually got bored.

Social gatherings is where kids probably see more gambling activities when adults play table games as a past time. They would usually put money on the table while some kids would be watching at the back. Many of us here probably grew up in that kind of environment. We learned how to gamble at a young age but still ended up fine.

One of the fastest way for kids to learn is through sight and that is why the 18 plus is always taking serious on TV shows because of the knowledge that might be imprinted in the memory of the boy that he might. I mentioned age counts a lot since, from another angle, the age range might be taken into account because kids won't have money to start betting right now. The kids will actually pay attention if there's dice and other games since it keeps them from becoming bored. And one thing that should be avoided in front of the children is that they will want to imitate such behavior as they get older, even street gambling, and many would want to do the same thing if they witness their father doing it.  And personality differs again and if its about our generation the way kids have falling in love with money they will also replicate and kind of behavior.

If you are a gambler yourself, preventing your child from engaging in gambling activities is the most responsible and wisest choice you coud ever make as a parent. Protecting children and teenagers from the potential harms of gambling is crucial, as they may not fully comprehend the risks and consequences involved. By adhering to legal age restrictions and keeping the focus on their education and personal development, you're providing a strong foundation for their future success. If you could maintain open communication with your child about the risks associated with gambling ensures they are well-informed and less likely to venture down a path that could lead to addiction or financial difficulties.

Istead build their confidence and compeetetiveness is sports or other areas of education. Introduce them to mastery instead of one lucky hit.
