ok this is getting a bit hilarious.
who can convince me that they haven't tested their shitty firmware at least at 10 machines for 12hrs before releasing it?
something else is happening here but I'm unable to see the whole picture atm.
Have anyone tested this at the antpool or btc.com ?? it will answer some questions either miner is working as intended or not

I have 23 on all my miners and i have my hashrate degrading over time like you do. I might have to change back to stock firmware =/

I went back to the previous firmware.  Several times a day two of my 3 S9's loose a board and I have to restart them.  My 14th S9 is still running the LPM version but it hashes down to about 13.8 after a few hours but I'll let that one keep running for now to see how low it goes.

My one 13.5TH S9 has had the previous FM for about 7 hours now and is back to acting normally.

Definitely something going wrong with the LPM FW

UPDATE:
One of the S9's is now acting up after putting the old firmware back.  Sometimes it boots showing only 2 boards, sometimes it stops hashing on one board entirely, the fan (I think the intake) keeps going to max and then back down every 10 seconds in a cycle.  I have re-seated all all connections to be sure that nothing was loose.

One time in the log I saw:
post search failed code: U8:1
post: http://192.168.60.104/mms/postfailedcode.do?minertype=S9&minerID=8178a54113758854&failedCode=U8:1
ERROR: Failed to fetch url (http://192.168.60.104/mms/postfailedcode.do?minertype=S9&minerID=8178a54113758854&failedCode=U8:1) - curl said: Couldn't connect to server

That happened along with "chain[7] PIC need restore" in the logs that I've never seen before.

All perhaps unrelated but I don't think so - this unit has been flawless up to this point.

UPDATE 2:  And my 14TH has been running the LPM firmware for 4 hours after a restart and it is now averaging 13.8TH.  This was never an issue before this firmware and anyone who doesn't think it is a real problem is delusional.

I can't measure the power consumption but the same fanspeed.

I use custom firmware from the https://mskminer.com/proshivki/
they did a chip-by-chip tuning and added AsicBoost to their S9 firmware, as well as the built-in powermeter in miner status.
work in all pool - slushpool, antpool, btc.com and other.
Up to 18TH in 1800W with asicboost, dev fee 2% (4-5 pools * *)
200-300W reduction in power consumption
download https://yadi.sk/d/lm_4BB2a4MfJIA
https://yadi.sk/d/aomy8QLW1Epf6Q  - up to 1175MHZ & Asicboost

Monday promise asicbost for T9+

Math doesn't care what you believe.
maybe a stupid question, but where do you enable lpm?
i pot the 23/10 fw on a machine adn it runs 12.8th now at 725mhz. It ran 14.5 before.... Uses 240 watts less, but almost 2th less also...

where can i see if asicboost is working? im on kanopool...

It will be on by default when your upgrade to 1023, but the check box is on the miner configuration tab.

some weird things happened  in our tests

1. S9s 13.5 started working in ViaBTC pool 4 days after. https://imgur.com/a/teOb11B (12.3%)

2. S9is 13.5 works perfectly https://imgur.com/a/teOb11B (12.8%)

Mine for a Bit
I had to restart all of my miners with the updated firmware to get the hashrate back up to normal hashrates.  Some of the miners were down from 13.9THs to 11.2THs.  Although there was a reduction in amperage, there was also a reduction in hashrate.

With LPM enabled, 1298 watts at the wall (0.086 J/GH)

Side note:  Pulling EXACTLY the same if I use one of the original APW3 power supplies (the long thin ones) or a new APW3++.  To the watt.

Hi, I have a S9 13.5Th, and me too, original firmware, I go up to 14.1THs no problem ...

Once the LPM install, yes 14.1 TH, but I also after a few hours its fall (about 0.1Th / H) ... so I returned to the origin ... I always run on BTC.com

PS: after many tests on the T9 + I launched the assault of my S9!

And, I discovered, an anomaly, I recovered the BMMINER firmware S9J, and it is run at 905mv with a freqence given !!!

i've tested it at antpool. hashrate reporting jumps up and down like crazy. they knew of this issue and claims that it won't effect our earnings and are working on it. but as for slush pool, hash rate down means earnings down.

I have 3 S9's - two 13.5 and one 14.  All of them exhibit what others are saying - after several hours the 14th drops to 13.7 or so and I restart it - goes back to 14th.  Both of the 13.5 units have "lost" a board several times and a reboot brings them back.  They also have shown a slow decrease in hashing over several hours.  All S9's do run A LOT cooler for me so....wish it worked without these issues.

I think tomorrow morning I will revert to the previous firmware.

Sorry I did not have time to do some nice calculations over time, etc but I have suddenly had these issues.  Hope they can fix it.

UPDATE for S9i

We tested the firmware on S9is and it does produce similar savings as for S9s. Moreover, it works with different power supplies.

ViaBTC pool not supported for the October 23rd version of the firmware.

maybe so but it would probably be best to wait for the official S9i version which comes out next week.

Here are my findings. See images.
I only tested 3 machines all s9s.
All produced similar savings.
12 times (111.7 A- 109.2 A)=30W savings per machine
or in % 2.2% savings

https://imgur.com/a/7z47inN

Finally we figured out the issue with LP not working. ViaBTC pool is the issue. As soon as we switched 4 test miners to Kano all desired 1 amp savings achieved.
Before AC After AC
6.34           5.57
6.37           5.21
6.49           5.32

Here are my miners that are on Kano.is after 12 hours - they all started at around 13.9 - 14.2 but are now closer to 13.6 - 13.7 (the LPM FW is installed on the first 2 only.)

I have others on other pools but the same effect, so no need for multiple screen shots showing the same thing. They all start losing hashrate after 12 hours or so. And they are not running hot - temps are in the mid 60's to mid 70's
