Werde mal sehen, was mein Provider anbietet, und was das kosten soll...
Today, over 212,000 transactions have been executed on the Avalanche contract chain. In monitoring these, we’ve noticed that a small subset of the transactions processed in the last few hours have experienced processing times longer than usual, and have isolated the root cause.
A handful of low-power, high-stake machines are currently slowing down transactions on the C-Chain. Hardware and node specification recommendations from the early days of Avalanche haven’t kept up with the rapid growth of the Avalanche Community.
In addition to a forthcoming upgrade to the C-chain that will improve performance and stability, we are reaching out to node operators to upgrade their node hardware to ensure they can keep up with the network activity.
New node recommendations, especially for nodes with a significant stake (120k AVAX) are as follows:
* CPU: Equivalent of 8 AWS vCPU
* RAM: 16 GB
* Storage: 200 GB
* OS: Ubuntu 18.04/20.04 or MacOS >= Catalina
* Network Bandwidth: Highest Settings Allowed by Provider
Snowman++ is a new upgrade that the Ava Labs engineers are tirelessly working on to roll out as soon as possible to prevent any low-power nodes from affecting others.
