Don't you guys think, that will be more Gamification of the Forum. I think what we have in the forum is already good and hard to achieve. Considering the Number of Legendaries to Total number of Members (the number is quite small in percentage).
I don't see any need for it unless Legendaries loose will to post their awesome content after reaching maximum level and have no motivation. And I don't think that will be the case.
Anyway, I am just a few days old. But wanted to put my opinion.

Very nice idea.. I think more rank should be added to the forum, but i still wonder why they upgrade of ranks has suddenly stopped.
It has to do with the merit system... Upgrading your ranks now will take much more effort then before, if you are lucky enough to get some merits.

Not a bad idea i but i think instead of that there can be more option like karma. I have seen there is now a days a lot of forum like bitcoin talk that's why i think more features should have added to maintain it's on uniquity.
I think it is a brilliant idea. Its makes such an apreciation to old member who always participate on forum discussion and help another member to learn somethings that usefull.
It sounds like a good idea, but not one to implement any time soon. Reason would be I foresee more backlash from lower ranking members who are already complaining about the merit system, and how difficult it is to rank up at their stage, and how its easier for already high ranking members. I would suggest we let the whole merit thing be a normality first, then we can implement a new level.
This is great! It will really be motivational for us who are aiming to rank up.

The current highest rank here is Legendary with 775-1030 activity points to achieve. Perhaps we can have a higher rank at like 1300-1400 points? Like 'History Maker' or 'Part of Bitcoin History' etc.?

Its quite good idea and my perspective is i think a prodigy something like that its cool though with 1300-1400 points i guess its better to have a rank like a prodigy.
If only ranking is still based on the old system, I would suggest to add Ancient rank which ranks higher than the Legendary or maybe after the Veteran rank, as most of the posters here suggest. They deserved that rank for being active on the forum for a long time.
I can't imagine what it would feel like to get out of the newbie rank. I'm hoping to move up in rank soon. 
The custom title suggestion seemed to be the best. 
They reduce the number of posts. Instead they use more MERIT points to increase their rank. I think this will help avoid abuse of forum SPAM status.
I admire most of the people here. They are mostly my predecessors. I admire them for their contribution to this forum.

I think there should be a new rank after Legendary that requires x amount of activity but also a huge amount of merit which will then only be awarded to the best contributors here. Maybe even some more special privileges could come along with that rank. I've previously suggested that a Premium donator rank could be created with such privileges as the ability to have an image banner in your signature or the ability to change your name etc and those would be good additions to this rank and something to strive for. There's currently not much that becoming Legendary offers other than the title to be honest and it's becoming far too common now so a new rank would be beneficial in numerous ways in my opinion.
IMO if anything above Legendary gets created, it should be called "IMMORTAL SHITPOSTER" not to say that they shitposted their way up there but just to say hey, this forum was built on shitposts lol

For what would another Rank be needed for? I don't see any other perks that a higher ranked member can obtain other than receiving rights to change their names or letting have their own custom title.
If a another is to be added, I say "Satoshi's Best Friend" should be added if the activity is around 2000.
