Being able to differentiate between ranks and/or staff by colours or something else wouldn't be a bad idea. As far it being too colourful or flashy I don't think it'd be any more intrusive that signatures or avatars.
don't know if that would be a good idea.. those bright names would make the site looks too colorful.

As time goes on new ranks will likely be added as and when needed. There's not that many Legendary accounts at the moment but in a year or so it'll likely be a different story so I'm sure a higher rank will be added then (or the activity limit to become Legendary could be raised).
FTFY.Well the would be okay if we weren't getting a expensive forum. Adding ranks to this one would be okay, just as it was when Legendary was introduced. A revamp of the whole feature would be great, since the one that we have here is pretty much boring (the stars..).
I know we have already discussed about the rank's color and I think it will be easy to add this option. Each rank has an own color, for example :

member
Sr. member
Hero
Legendary
Staff
Or something like that, so the write under the username will be of that color and it can also protect "against" the fake users (that are trying to scam).

How about make a new ranking system and completely remove this one?
Obviously people who already had ranks should accordingly be given new ones. There is a lack of ranks here (possibly even a different system). As time goes by even 'Legendary' won't make a unique group of people. Just look at the number of seniors and heroes that we have today.

Somehow, having a “Jr. Legendary” sounds contradictory to me.
Exactly what I thought. Would be silly and possibly confusing to split the Legendary rank like this. Higher ranks can just be added later on when needed but I don't think they will be for a while.

How about a special rank for those that have "endured" the old forum software? Like a title or something. I done know, maybe VOD (very old damsel)

For what would another Rank be needed for? I don't see any other perks that a higher ranked member can obtain other than receiving rights to change their names or letting have their own custom title.

Personally I don't care a lot about the name of the rank.
However ... in my opinion I think that the last rank is the one that should be Random so basically if we add a new rank , It should have Random activity instead of Legendary , and we setup Legendary for something like 900 Activity (stable) .
